    Hello

can you please tell me is it possible that a single screen will work with cursor mode and second focus mode.

    Thank you

    Hello

I don't think that it is possible to change the mode of the development of your application outside of in the config.xml file.

A custom extension may be able to do this, but I have not seen anyone this yet.

  • Too slow navigation Focus mode

    Hello-

I've been playing with an application Webworks using the navigation mode of the focus with about 10 items HTML P, each with a x-blackberry-Focus = attribute tru. There is no Javascript code and that a CSS rule of p:hover to change the color of the P elements as they focus and blur.

Unfortunately scrolling of inherent latency the OS5, 6, 7 simulators and devices is much more sensitive than the equivalent operation in a Java-based application. All the done app changes the color of the text element P in response to the touchpad, but it feels laggy and slow compared to the eye-catching native apps.

I followed eagerly Webworks because called Widgets, hoping to one day be able to use web development on different platforms, but I can't really imagine any customer to implement with the slowness of a drop-down list Webworks and will therefore have to look at other avenues of development.

Everyone knows about similar problems? I searched the forum and there are a lot of posts on JS/UI thread to block, but none on the slow general feeling of Webworks applications developed.

Yes, this is a known issue... It was expected to be fixed.  The fix is moved most of our navigation code in JavaScript where it will go faster than Java.

The work is underway, and you can see on the road map:

    https://github.com/BlackBerry/WebWorks/issues/milestones

We have tried to make these changes completed in time for DevCon, but with all the patches of memory, that we had to hit in a follow-up of the liberation

There is also a very experimental branch in my github repo where (if you're at it) you can try some of the prototype changes.  From my experiences, which makes fast scrolling as native on devices BB6 and BB7.

    https://github.com/tneil/WebWorks/tree/navmode/navmode https://github.com/tneil/WebWorks/tree/navmode/navmode

The code of my Repo is VERY experimental and is not intended to be used mainsteam.  But you can check that you can see how much improvement is made.

We know that this is a priority and we are working on that.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones bedside mode

Hi, does anyone know if the private has a bedside mode?

Also, what about a regular mode of privacy / bedside too?

    Thank you.

I think I might have found a solution without having to download additional applications.

Set your meeting Silent Mode - create yourself a meeting when you go to bed until when your alarm is cause to wake up - THEN you can use the clock to NIGHT mode and use the alarm in the normal way. You will not receive notifications while you sleep and... run you put also your vibrate off the coast...

  • BlackBerry Smartphones landscape mode

Help! My Torch 9850 is stuck in portrait mode. He's not in landscape mode when I turn it. It was working fine yesterday.

Perform a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart. A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most defects and errors of operating system, and you will lose any data on the device doing so.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones flight mode?

When I try to connect to Y! to go, it says it can not connect phone risk may be offline or in airplane mode.  I do not travel, and it was working fine a few weeks ago.  Where can I go to see if it is in airplane mode?  Any help is greatly appreciated.

OK, the box to the left is checked, and the little green circle on the right has a check in there as well.  I tried again and it is what it says: Sorry, Yahoo! Go cannot access the internet.  Please make sure that your phone is not in flight mode/offline mode and that your security settings allow online access.   I just went and activated the firewall option to the devil and now it works fine.  Is my phone vulnerable with the firewall off (if possible)?  Thanks for your help!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Safe mode

My phone is always on safe mode, because I don't want all the other apps it drains my battery fast. Is it OK if I'm in safe mode for always?

Hello and welcome to the community!

In general, Safe Mode is for diagnostic purposes... not a long-term operation. What you need to do is to delete these apps, return to the normal mode of crime and see if things have cleared up. That said, I don't see anything on the Safe Mode that would be problematic to use long-term... except, of course, the painful method to actually get the BB in this mode, every time that you restart!

    Good luck!

  • Consumer, Bloomberg blackBerry Storm Smartphones - Landscape Mode

Downloaded the Bloomberg Consumer since the Blackberry AppStore app yesterday... when it was first installed, it displays the application in landscape and it was awesome!  now, every time I raise it displays in portrait mode and landscape when I turn the phone won't. If I put myself in the landscape, it passes to portrait. Menu doesn't have any kind of options for tweaking... more it sets up the keyboard and you can't hide it no matter what, so you only value of half a screen of info in portrait... LAME!

Someone knows the same thing or have a fix?

    Steve

Try going into Options > Advanced > Applications.

Scroll and highlight (do not click on) the Bloomberg app.

Click on the Menu (down then the Green dial button) > disable Compatibility Mode.

    See if that helps.

  • BlackBerry 8320 Smartphones flight mode?

The Curve 8320 has a flight mode while the phone is off, but all other applications still work?

If so, how does Turn on or off?

Look at the Options > mobile networks. Before takeoff, disable your network's signal it and then off turn the unit off.

In the air during the announcement that you can use the device, just turn it on and your network's signal is turned off.

When disembark you and lights once more the device, do not forget to turn the network's signal.

  • BlackBerry for blackberry Smartphones airplane mode

on a recent flight, the flight attendant said that you can use on your phone airplane mode.  I had not heard of this before and want to know if my blackberry curve has such a fashion?

It's the home section and presentations from the forum, in the future, you can choose a more appropriate area for your questions.  But, Hello and welcome to BlackBerry.com, anyway Support Forums.

There is not a function "Airplane Mode" but that's what you do:

Before closing the door of the aircraft, go in manage connections and turn off the mobile network. Your signal on screen indicator should read OFF. Then turn the unit off.

When you are in the air and asked to do it, you can turn on the BB, and the signal goes off.
