Smartphones blackBerry 9700 has cutouts rhythmic impossible phone calls

All of a sudden today my 9700 cannot make phone calls. It allows me to dial and connect, but it happens something that makes the sound cut like every half second. I can't hear or speak to the other person during the breaks and they cannot hear or talk to me.

Everything else on the phone works very well: SMS, email, Facebook, Google Mobile App, Pandora, IMs

The only thing I installed today has been a program called GPS Track (http://widgety.biz/GPStrack/) to collect the GPS info and upload it on TrailGuru.com. The problem started shortly after I used the program the first time, so I suspect it has something to do with it.

I deleted the app, but that did not help. I tried a battery several times pull, I spent in the OS 5.0.0.463 for 5.0.0.29 6. Nothing seems to help. Right now I'm upgrading from software to 5.0.0.645, but I don't have much hope. Someone has an idea?

Phone: Bold 9700

OS: 5.0.0.29 6 (Platform 5.1.0.83)

Carrier: AT & T

File: 120567816

It is a problem with the headphone jack.  Have you been using the headphone jack wired recently?  Try to blow out with air canned and try to remove and insert the headphone jack a bunch of times and see if you can get it to quit.  If she doesn't stop, you will need to have the device exchanged through your operator because he may have a faulty headphone jack.  In the meantime he probably will work properly if you connect the headset to make calls.

This problem seems to be common and there's even a video to youtube of him.

Some good advice from prince2012, but let me add a question: what OS are you running?  The "BOLD" originally shipped with OS 4 and can be updated to OS 5 (I think that these figures are correct).  However, many people have decided to spend in addition to OS 6, which is not a good idea on a 9700.  If you are currently running OS 6, I recommend you go back to OS 5.

    I hope that helps you.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BlackBerry 9700 - OS 6

    Hi all

Someone knows where to download the latest Blackberry 9700 OS 6?

    Thank you.

    Kind regards

    BH Yeo

    This is the official version.

    https://www.BlackBerry.com/downloads/entry.do?code=15CF76466B97264765356FCC56D801D1

Instructions for installation on ANY carrier 9700:

1 download the BONES above files to the PC then install it to the PC by running (double click) the downloaded file.
    2. go in c:\program files Research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml." Users of Vista/Win7: in the apploader folder, simply click on "Compatibility files" to see the Vendor.xml file. Once you have that - just delete the vendor.xml file here (even if you have deleted or think that you have previously deleted in the folder) and voila, it will allow you to update the newly installed operating system!
    3. plug in the BB and double-click on "Loader.exe." It is located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

The process takes about 45 minutes to an hour depending on the amount of data you need to back up and restore during the process. Once he did load the new OS, it will reboot (it may do it twice during the entire process.) You will see a black "BlackBerry" screen with a status bar for up to 20 minutes at a time while the DM says "waiting for initialization."
If, for some reason, you end up with a white screen with small icons and the number 507, simply connect the PC again and run Loader.exe again, and it should load the operating system on the device.

  • Smartphones blackBerry [9700 "Bold"] how to get emails that are not gmail, yahoo,...?

    Hi guys,.

I saw a small company and goes to buy a Blackberry Bold 9700. I read a lot of forums and boards, but I have still not found an answer to the question: "is it possible to get e-mails from accounts that are not google or yahoo etc."?

I have a clean online store or the domain and so my email address is something like info @.com

I am currently using Thunderbird on my laptop to get and send e-mails via pop3/smtp.

So, it is possible to have access to e-mail via a pop3 server and send emails using smtp on a Blackberry 9700 Bold?

    Greetings,

    Marco.

Yes, you can access most of the protocols POP3 or IMAP mail server.

I bought a new BlackBerry 9700 free sim card and put my T - Mobile UK SIM in there.  I have the BlackBerry Internet Service activated on the sim card and most things work correctly.  I get invalid APN of BlackBerry App World and Twitter unavailable services settings

Is this something I need to get some additional T-Mobile service settings or do I need to load an approved t-mobile BlackBerry OS version?

It turns out that I had BlackBerry Email but not BlackBerry Internet Booster.

If the problem is now resolved.  RIM could really do with simplifying their offer, I mean that not order Internet and Email on BlackBerry in any case

This is a scam and that is becoming more and more common lately. But even worse, if you let them into your computer, who knows what damage they did here or what confidential information they stole.

So, if you did. I highly recommend that you do both of the following immediately:

1 do a clean reinstall of Windows.

    2. change all your passwords, especially all of banks or other financial sites.

  • Smartphones blackBerry how to recover my BB phone if the flight has already been reformatted it?

    Hi all

I wonder, if the BB to protect and other software is always useful if the thief tries to reformat my blackberry? Can you suggest some software or even applications with BB protect, I can't find Blackberry ER in my world of BB.

Can I block my phone stolen with just my PIN and IMEA details?

    Thank you very much.

With BlackBerry Protect in software, it can be removed by the thief if your phone is not protected by a password.  What you need to do is call Globe as soon as POSSIBLE to have the PIN code blocked so that you will not incur charges for the use of the thief of the phone.  Some carriers will also block the IMEI and some won't, so you don't have to call them on this subject.  You should try also immediately wipe your phone with BlackBerry Protect to protect you from anyone seeing its contents.

To suggest another software application now that your phone was stolen would be unnecessary in this case.  Next time, I don't really know of any other software that works better than BlackBerry Protect.  Once you get your back of the phone, or a new, I recommend that you install to protect them once more.

    I hope that helps you.

  • Smartphones blackBerry 9700 "Bold" no Audio for Email alerts

    Hello

Already activated my new Bold 9700 with Bell this morning. Everything works except for the audio alerts by e-mail. I'm very frustrated with it that I have tried several solutions, hopefully a tech here rep can provide a method that I have not already tried.

When I receive an email, the light, the red asterisk in the main message section, but there is no audio alerts. I have the profile set to normal, sonar ping as audio choice and set to always indoors or out of Holster.  All this started after I tried to sync with contacts from my old phone, a Blackberry 8830 with Bell.

Here's a little recap, in chronological order.

-active 9700, voice work of calls, classic phone ring ToneWorks, went to the site of the BIS, set up my two email with Gmail and Yahoo accounts. Received messages and audio alerts by e-mail.

-the problem started when I synced my old 8830 version 4.5.0.127 with Bishop Office and transferred the address book and contacts of Bishop BB the 9700.

-Alerts audio email stopped working on gmail and yahoo, still getting emails well. Strange because when the audio alert worked, the red asterisk indicating a new email will appear in the message section and the section of gmail/yahoo messages. With the audio alert does not, the red asterisk appears only in the message section.

-at this point, the 9700 is running on something v5.0.0.3

-Sync also failed to transfer phone numbers 8830 address book the 9700. The names and e-mail addresses have been transferred but no phone number.

-changed profiles by selecting a different audio alert, activated the wireless market, removed the battery for 5 minutes and restarted. Still did not work.

-wipe the device, set up the email once again, an e-mail alert audo still does not.

-at this point, I went back to the dealer for help. They used their desktop Manager to synchronize with my 8830. Their timing worked better that phone numbers have been able to transfer through. Once again however, no warning audio email.

-dealer spent 90 minutes, yes 90 minutes working on my device. He did the same methods I've tried... twice. They wiped my camera... twice. Updated the service books, changed the normal profile to one other than sonar sound alert, still does not.

-store was closed then dealer suggested to delete the old 8830 BIS email. Don't forget my 8830 and 9700 have different mobile numbers on separate accounts.

-return home and has decided to do the opposite of the dealer's suggestion, I've deleted email BIS (on the site of the BIS on my PC) on the 9700 rather than the 8830 and recorded again. It worked! Getting email audio alerts on two e-mail accounts! Synchronization Manager to back up, once I do request now if I want to upgrade to v5.0.0.423. I save my profile, and then click ok... bad idea. Once happens, alerts audio email stopped working again.

-Restore backup data, I just saved, alerts e-mail audiio does not. And then deleted and added a new e-mail, and update of new service books and audio alert in normal profile options.

-repeats removing the battery, turning network works, no luck.

From this moment, I have a 9700 with v5.0.0.423, updated service books and two emails from BIS (gmail and yahoo) which are still not give audio alerts email. Is this a problem of software or a defect in my own device? What can I do to fix this? It is imperative for me to answer my emails BIS in time for audio alerts by e-mail are a must for me.

In addition, my 8830 was conducting a BES until four weeks ago. Now, it is on BIS only even if one of the BES parameters is still present and I couldn't remove it. I don't know the password security feature, 8830 claims always my pw to unlock. Have not been able to turn it off on the security options screen.

Please help... How to get back my audio alert email?

    Hello Triple_P88,

To correct this problem, you need to remove the COMPUTER of your BlackBerry smartphone policy.

To do this, we would need to back up the BlackBerry smartphone. Please open the BlackBerry Desktop Manager and connect your BlackBerry smartphone. Click the backup and restore button, and select Save. Note the location where the backup is saved will allow us to access later to restore the BlackBerry smart phone.

Once you have saved your BlackBerry smart phone, please follow the link below to remove it from your BlackBerry smartphone strategy

    Link: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB14202

I advise to do this for both phones, as well as after it is done do not restore the old backup, but selective restore as outlned below.

Selective restore of your BlackBerry smartphone (only restore the essential elements such as the address book, calendar, messages, etc.). I enclose a link below on how to do it.

  • Smartphones blackBerry 9700 reclassification 5.0 to 6.0

Impossible to upgrade to 6.0. I get a fatal error when the backup is complete. This is happenning on two 9700 I have right now!

Believe me, he better NOT upgrade a 9700 OS 6.  The 256 MB internal memory of the phone is not enough to properly run the OS 6.  Yes, I know that RIM has made the OS 6 forums available for the 9700 but if you look around these (or any other), you will hear people who have tried it and have ran into freezing upwards, severe developmental delay and other problems.

I say again that you get this error message and enjoy life with your 9700 without problem.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not send messages or make phone calls

My BB torch worked fine earlier, but there is an hour, it just stopped.  He has connections and bars, until in the Connections window bit. I tried it turn on and off as well as to take out the battery after it's off to reset.  I tried to remove all of my old conversations in the phone as well. I can still connect to the internet on this topic very well.

Hello and welcome to the community!

I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network

    (2) remove and return Service directories

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If this isn't the case, then you should contact your provider of wireless services for formal support.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry 9700 - inability to access e-mail settings

Hello - today, I had to change my password of e-mail on the server of Shaw as a spammer had diverted my address. I could not update the password of e-mail on my 9700. After clicking on the Setup icon, and then tap email, and then the option Internet e-mail account, nothing happens - I go back to the previous page. I tried to access to the
mobile site. BlackBerry.com", as cool by a few others who have experienced this problem, but nothing helped. I keep to redirect to Canadian Blackberry mobile site, and there is no option to scroll down to a tab of Communication, etc. Anyone know how to fix this? I have not had any trouble to change the password in my ipad.

  • Smartphones blackBerry after every incoming and outgoing phone/email/SMS messages are deleted.

Anyone have any ideas on how to solve this problem?  For example, if I get an SMS message and the response before sending the original will disappear.  It goes same for call of the phone and e-mail logs.

    Hello

You have little free memory left on your device.

You have a lot of third-party applications on your time BB, icall, bbalerts etc?

I don't know your level of experience, so if you know I'm sorry but if please read and let me

not know if this is the case.

Most people close the applications by pressing escape or the red button. This does not close the applications.

Each application has an option CLOSE. For example, if you are in the calendar, press the menu key (spotted) and scroll down to the bottom CLOSE is listed. Go through each application and then press close. Go to the menu press browser and options select cache operations clear all categories and reached escape it will say cleaning memory. If you have the following option:

Go to options - security - garbage collection - enable. The BB will now clean up the memory when idle for 5 minutes.

you will have an icon on the screen to clean the memory of you make sure you press it. Make sure that you use the button CLOSE whenever you're done with an application.

    http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/Rim/Board/message?board.ID=8300&message.ID=9225#M9225

If you follow these stepsin the link and deal with your memory, your phone will run smoothly.

Please let us know if you need help with any of the steps.

Send me the numbers when you are finished

    Thank you
