  I have synced all of the company's contacts to my curve and now have 1800 or so on it.  I would like this pair down to the people I call more often.  How can I remove the current address book so I can resynch and then with the address book up-to-date?  The only option I have found is either to wipe the whole device (which I don't want) or delete one by one.

  If you want to remove the base address book (or calendar) on your BlackBerry, follow the instructions below. Make sure that you have a good copy of your calendar or Contacts, because this procedure will delete all the calendar entries or entries from the address book on your BlackBerry.

  First, you have to disable the sync wirelessly to your address book and then remember him.

  1. open the Desktop Manager on your PC.

  2. open Backup/Restore > advanced.

  3. in Advanced Options, you will see a split pane screen. Left pain is what happens to save on your device and the right is a list of the existing databases.

  3 select right your address book database (or your Calendar database), and then click the arrow in the Middle pointing to the left. This will copy the information on and prepare it for the backup.

  4. once the backup is complete, click the button Clear down to erase, and then clean up the database of book full address (or calendar).

  5. once it is finished, it will ask you if you want to save the backup that you created, say you Yes and check the device to make sure that the address book (or calendar) has been duly cleared out. Now, Resync the necessary contact details and you should be set to go.

  I think that you have upgraded to 7 worm that saves your BBM contacts in your BB ID.

  You can use the clear function to erase all the data from the previous owner. To do so go to Options -> Security Option -> click on the Menu button and select Wipe Handheld.

  I got my BB Bolt two weeks ago.  It works fine out of the box to sync with my mac using missing for Blackberry Synch.  Just today, I noticed that my contacts did not come across, and also some of the contacts that were on my BB were duplicated.  Yesterday, I installed Pocketmac for Blackberry, it did not work to my satisfaction, I uninstall and I went backward lack of synchronization for Blackberry.  Today, all my contacts are now missing from my Blackberry.  Calendar information are coming through when I synchronize, but not contacts. All possible solutions?  Right now I'm at the edge of this defective gadget appeal.

  Sending of one PIN code to another BlackBerry phone is exactly the same to send a BBM for the phone, except that it is not through the BBM app, it just seems right in the Messages folder.  It is available only between BlackBerrys.

  This type of update is nondestructive, so I don't know how such things can simply disappear. It simply replaces new files of the OS on the top the old operating system files, and then restarts.

  So, are you sure that there are NO pictures on the device? Have you walked around with the file manager and looked into different folders? Sometimes in the photos app, you will need to change the sorting 'Date' instead of 'Recent '.

  In regard to the contacts you can make sure that some of them are not related only incorrectly. Open the contacts application and then do a search for one of the missing names. Does show any success for this name with another name? If so, open the contact and go to 'links' down and untie the contacts, then save.

  According to what you really need to do, there may be several solutions for you. For example, if you have Outlook on your computer, you can configure synchronization with your BB and so to process the data in Outlook as "master", with the BB then being the copy.

  On the other hand, if you just want to verify the data that you have already saved, you need a 3rd party app PC that can analyze the BBB file or IPD (depends on the version you are using Desktop software) to do... I heard that MagicBerry has a good reputation.

  On the third hand (3 hands?), you must use Desktop Software before 7.0 (if I remember) in order to export the BB to ASCII or CSV... but, the process you have conducted to perform this export (if that's what you did... it's hard to be sure your post) would have included telling you where, on your PC, you must place this file. If you do not, make the export again, very attentive to the steps where make you those choices.

  In any case, you can specify what is your desire? Then, we can give more details on what would be the best way to ensure that what you want.
