Smartphones blackBerry Curve 8900 Device Software for Rogers - DAMAGED Setup FILE

Hi all

I was wondering if someone else ran into this problem (if there is no BlackBerry Rogers on this forum). I tried to download and run the software for the device for Rogers out of the BlackBerry and the installation site, I came across the following error message:

"Error 1335. The file 'Data1.cab' required for this installation is damaged and cannot be used. This may indicate a netowkr error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package. »

When I try clicking on ignore, I get this message:

"Error 2350. FDI Server error. "

I wish that I was good enough to know what that means, but I'm completely lost here. I tried to install this on two machines (XP Home SP2) and Vista, both give me the same problem.

I feel there may be a problem with the software on the site. Could someone else confirm this or get an idea of what to do?

Thank you

-Antonio-

you are absolutely right

It's something like a lottery. Guess a lucky time for downloading a file

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Curve 8900 Media - music player

I'm totally frustrated of not being able to solve a problem with playback of music to my Blackberry Curve.

I copied and recopied approximately 2 GB of music four different moments of the curve.  I can play music from the cumbersome Menu > Explore > Media Card > Blackberry > music path (I have a memory card of 4 GB installed).  Which only allows you to listen to one song at a time, and you press the buttons about 5 just started the next song.

It just drives me crazy when I go to the menu music to enjoy the amazing features of curved IPOD type such as shuffle, Album, and song lists, nothing is there!  I ask Shuffle, and no song happens to all.  It must be a simple solution, but I can't lose all try more time to understand it... so far my efforts have resulted in NO progress.

I would be very grateful to get this little piece of advice to solve my problem.  I have Roxio Media Manager installed and just uploaded the 2 GB of music to the curve for the 4th time through Roxio.

Hi and welcome to the forums!

No data will be lost when you do the following: remove the battery while the device is activated.

Remplacer replace after one minute, let the device reboot 1-3 min, see if the problem is corrected.

  • Smartphones blackBerry Curve 8900 battery life

The life of the battery on my Curve 8900 seems to be getting worse. The phone is only 4 m. Need to recharge every day, but the use is minimal - used for texts and facebook + some downloaded items from the world of BB. I got disabling the wi - fi connection, but it seems to make no side. He started the busy day but is now only 12%!

    Someone at - it ideas?

To avoid the dead quickly on any BlackBerry, most important practice that you can adopt is to ensure CLOSE applications when you are finished using them.

If you simply press the Red "end call" key to return to the home screen application is actually open and running in the background. If you do this several times, you will have many apps open and therefore your memory will get used. Lack of memory is the main reason for your BlackBerry slows to a crawl or crashes. If you make a habit of actually use the menu button to close the applications that will at least slow this process memory-clogging. You may still do a battery pull or using the "Quickpull" app from time to time when things get slow.

Similarly, check your applications running in the background. There are four or five applications that will always run fluently (Messages, Call Logs/phone, BlackBerry Messenger, home screen and the browser; there are other third-party applications such as BeeJive and alerts of BlackBerry that will work also in the bottom that you can not close if you want they work). Ensure that the browser is NOT on an active Web page (open the browser and select the Menu > close). Close all other applications that do not need to be running (the camera or a game you were playing or Google Maps).

Here's some good advice from loading, please read and you will see that many of them will be applicable to you.

  • Smartphones blackBerry Curve 8330 Line Out for external speakers?

Hello!    I wonder if it is possible to use the headphone jack of 3.5 mm to the music of the road since the BlackBerry Curve 8330 through speaker / stereo receiver system. I tried to use a standard 3.5 mm headphone jack to RCA stereo/video from the BlackBerry to the RCA headphone port / V ports on my amplifier/receiver, with the audio never play via the loudspeaker in the handset or the speaker. The audio plays fine in the headphones supplied with the Curve 8330. Also I noticed in another thread, someone tried to do something similar, but the car's audio system, and the problem they had was that the cable they used was incompatible somehow. If anyone has any experience with this or knows what type of cable to use, your advice would be much appreciated! Thank you. -Sladian

I spoke with a friend who tried the same case, and he said that the problem is in the type of cable. The headset uses the third ring on the voice data sheet (line) while the other two are for audio and the ground. When using a PIN to 3 RCA (Audio video + stereo) unit seems to have a problem with resolution of the video with the microphone online. When you use the headphone of BlackBerry as a line of output, please make sure they use only a stereo (L + R) RCA (2-pin) cable to avoid the problem of the video line line mic.

I just want to know if 8900 Curve is compatible with the Playbook. My phone works very well and I would like to upgrade by buying a playbook rather than buying a new phone.

Yes, it will work well together.

You want to make sure that your 8900 is on OS 5.0.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Curve 8900 flashing LED

    Hello

I understand that a red LED means a new message, Voice Mail etc and I know as a yellow/green, low battery LED. I also understand that a green means that you have coverage.

But I don't know if I should turn my green LED coverage indicator. Someone of you have it, you would say it is useful to have on. Also dose it make the power of the battery down faster?

    Thanks in advance!

It's really a personal decision. I used to leave my LED coverage indicator, then a year ago I started leaving what he set to off.

Some people find annoying flashing, I round it's reassuring.

Battery? Well, Yes, techincally Yes it causes some brains because the LED must consume some power. Much, not really.

So, if you find it useful, then leave it on.

  • Wiped Black Smartphones blackBerry screen now BD-software does not communicate

    Hello ladies and gentlemen

I wiped my 9900 once he has had a black screen. Some of the advice here as wiping, backup and restore and so on tried.

So I connected my bold 9900 to the PC so that I could attach. The device is Plug and unplug several times. After a while of funny characters appeared on the screen, then it went black then white. Before that, I backed up and restore. I tried to restore did not work at first. She turns on and off a few times then left it. Press a few minutes later the screen works. Then he has blacked out again. I wiped it and tried to connect again to BDS - but failed to connect with the phone software.
This update option does not work someone recommended, it offers only a repair. BDS then checks the updates... "There are no updates available COMICS."
Now the program files, then the common files, Research in Motion, the application and finally Loader loader.
In the Application Loader Wizard, I try connecting pin: 2 USB... It loads so aka connection to the device and a message!
"The COMICS doesn't have a Blackberry Device Software for the device you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless service provider or system administrator. »

Please help what step is planned? I wiped with Jl cmder.

When the screen becomes black like that and the device apparently work in every other sense, in my experience and what I've read of the experience of others, the cause is a failure of the hardware associated with the view. Usually, the event precipitating is a drop of water. The fact that it happened when you were troubleshooting tie may be just a coincidence.

When it happened to me - machine of my daughter - everything worked. I could save it, reload the OS, call the device from another phone and answer... all but the display.

I didn't not troubleshoot the hardware, but others. My advice is to look in that direction. Search for your device and black screen, no display not working, etc. Chances are someone it was fixed, and there may be a YouTube video.

  • BlackBerry smartphone BlackBerry Curve 8520 BIS not connected

    Hello

I got a BlackBerry Curve 8520 at work for some reason, my BIS does not work, it says not connected and I can't seem to fix. The here's what I've done so far.

    1. checked with my carrier (MTEL.BG) I have all the necessary data active serivices.

2 rebooted a few times handheld (battery pull and waited 30 seconds).

    3 Resed to factory settings.

Tried to register my device using host Routing Tables (the table is empty), but nothinh happens.

Called tech support and they attempted to register my devide without success. They said that my pocket computer probably have a fault and replace it.

Somehow, I think that my carrier or my own missing something and this should be fixable.

    Any ideas?

EDIT: my phone signal is still on board, but I noticed that colleagues (with BIS job) have EDGE instead.

    Thanks in advance!

Thanks for your reply about THS... I know that other guy managed to do that, but nothing for me. It can have any relationship with the fact that I have on board and that they have on BOARD?

    100% directly related.

Overall, honestly, it's your carrier which should solve this problem. If you bought the BB through the carrier and they can't or won't to solve it not, then by all means in their recommendation of replacement.

    Good luck!
