Smartphones blackBerry Desktop Manager / Curve 8330

I can't connect the Curve 8330 to the Desktop Manager.  I have replaced the software three times, replaced the device itself, and replaced the USB cable.  In addition, holding an end of this forum, I removed and replaced the battery on the device when it is connected to the computer via a USB cable.  The symptoms are the same:

The PIN code of the device appears for a second or two, then disappears from the port drop.  Try to locate the device on the USB from the drop-down list parameter only results in an error message "device not found".  My operating system is Windows XP. The inhabitants of tech at Verizon were useless. Help!

A Dell tech Representative helped me solve the problem.  It was a conflict with another program in the startup routine of Windows (XP, all the stuff that takes over in the right-hand side of the taskbar at startup).  It turned out that the backup software from my hard drive - called, Bounceback professional - of external backup was interfering with the Desktop Manager software.   We test-fixed 1 start-up in safe mode.  Most of the start-up programs do not load in safe mode. This shows that the Fund Manager and the blackberry could talk to each other.  Then we went to the start menu, click Run and type in msconfig and press ENTER.  Which displays a screen of dialogue.  Click the Startup tab.  One by one, I've tested startup programs by disabling their (remove the check mark next to the list) until I found the conflict.  Then cousres I had to restart in normal mode.  When a dialogue box came to warn me that I had changes in settings, I selected the option to not warn me again at the next startup.  It works fine now.  Good luck.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Desktop Manager shows no Media Manager

First of all, let me say I am a NEW Blackberry user, my husband and I both has recently obtained new Blackberry 8310 curves.

When I installed the disc that came with the phone, the Blackberry Desktop Manager doesn't have the "Media Manager" as one of the choices, as demonstrated on all brochures and tutorials. I even re-installed the program, thinking perhaps it didn't download completely the first time, but he always comes by showing only these 4:

All the indications I have received show that I can easily add pictures and music by simply clicking on Media Manager, but he's not just here.

  • Error on blackBerry Smartphones: Blackberry Desktop Manager has stopped working

I use Desktop Manager 4.7.0.32 with a Blackberry Bold (9000); I sync with Outlook 2007 and I am running Windows Vista 64-bit Ultimate w / SP1. Synchronization worked well for many years with previous blackberries, but the synchronization problem appeared after a year or two of use with my previous camera curve.  I replaced the curve with the bold thinking which damaged equipment could be the problem (one too many drops).

However, the problem persists.  While it seems I can synchronize with success a way (from PC to BB), Director of office falls down to halfway through synchronization of calendar entries in a synchronization two-way, unless there has been no new entry calendar on the BB. The error is an error generated windows inidcating: Blackberry Desktop Manager has stopped working.

I tried every solution I could find on the web, namely:

    • Uninstalling and reinstalling Desktop Manager, making sure that I run the installer as administrator.
    • My Blackberry wiping and reinstalling the operating system (I use 4.6.0.162)
    • Delete the Intellisync folder
    • Run scanpst on my Outlookpst file
    • Clear the entries of calendar on the Blackberry (temporary solution only)

The latter is the only approach that has produced no results.  If I delete the entries on the Blackberry, the

process synchronization adds them correctly, and the next time I run the synchronization, it works without a hitch.  As soon as I did all the entries on the BB unit however, Desktop Manager crashes again, and the only way I can make it work is to clear the entries on the Blackberry and start over.

I'm several months and both handsets of BB has invested in this issue now.  I have a new fancy camera, but am recorded in writing of the appointments on paper when I am out of the office because I know they used to synchronize if I enter them at BB.  Type of defeated half the point of a blackberry...?

Getting desperate here.  Help is appreciated.

    Brad

    Hello Brad!

I had the same annoying problem that you guys have described here.
After trough fishing a lot of post and forums I found a very surprising solution for another type of BB and a different version of the DM on XP and not Vista. Being desperate I tried and miraculously it worked!

Start the DM BB and go - Syncronize - set - synchronisation - synchronization (button) - calendar - Advanced (button) - mapping fields (field mapping button) and I got rid of the synchronization between the flag "alarm" and the "free occupied" and the fields "invited".

I did it and now everything works perfectly.

I have a BB Bold, Vista Ultimate (32 bit), MSOffice 2007 (PRO) and a DMv4.7.

I hope it will work for you also.

    Kind regards
    Steve

  • Smartphones blackBerry Desktop Manager help BB is encroached in my system and won't go away

    Hello

    I use Windows 7 Pro.

I use a device RIM BB is no longer. The problem is that I uninstall blackberry (with the option to unistall provided by the program), but then when I copy, specifically music files FLAC, for my device android windows see the android device as a device of camera with no drive, the blackberry desktop letters assing manager tries to run, but as he was "uninstalled" it returns an error. He tries to run up to 5 times and after that the files copied. If I want to copy several files flac both blackberry Desktop Manager tries to run 5 times for each file.

I first check with the windows Device Manager and found two entries for rim blackberry under ports and remove the drivers but the problem repeated. Then I use a search utility and found many files of residual waste of blackberry and progressed to remove those as well but the problem persists. Can I use a registry utility and found several RIMBB, RIM, Blackberry bloating's residual registry entries registry and progressed to remove those as well but the problem continues. At this point, you can see that the unistall tool provided by Blackberry suck because he left a lot of waste in your system. I also tried to use CCleaner, but it did not find anything related to the blackberry.

So garbage from blackberry sorft remnants are still encroached in my system, and since I use the tool uninstall, remove the drivers and there is no file with the name RIM, RIMBB or blackbery on the disk and no more with these name registry keys will find how can I get rid of Blackberry for once for all?

Here you can see a screen capture windows with the error message:

    http://i22.Photobucket.com/albums/B342/Edil/rimbberror_zps1tpkoiwq.PNG

Hey I managed to solve the problem!

I searched using the search of disk utility * {BE5B0450... 45 b} * the string that appears in the error message.

And where there are 3 directories with that name. I deleted these directories and now I can copy files FLAC without problems.

I wonder why the companies are so inrresposible and do not provide an unistall option that remove all their stuff from your system. Leaving a disk and registry inflated garbage that you no longer use.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Desktop Manager constantly crashing

I've always avoided BDM like the plague (and by browsing the forums for a few side, it seems that I'm not the only one). Whenever I tried to run, he would always launch several other processes, such as RIMDeviceManager, RIM. Desktop.AutoUpdate, RIM. DesktopHelper and a few others with it and use more KB million and a half of my memory. My computer would become laggy and I could go with a lot of patience, but every time I would try backup/sync my BlackBerry, it would break and I have to force every process of quitting smoking.

Anyway, today I bought a new BlackBerry after owning my old one for two years and want to transfer my contacts. Unfortunately, this means that I have to use this bloated piece of software. Any way to get this program works so I can actually use it?

    Data sheet:

    Windows 7 SP1

    Intel E8400

    4 GB OF DDR2 RAM

    NVIDIA 9800 GTX +.

    BlackBerry Desktop Manager 6.1.0.35

    Out of memory.

If you look in Task Manager after you open the application, you see the memory usage goes out of control on a process?

More likely is videos.  You have a lot of videos in your folder "my videos"?  The software scan these files, and it is possible that some crazy video format could be launch Desktop for a loop.

  • Conflict of blackBerry Smartphones BlackBerry Desktop Manager with Sprint Smartview

I was using BlackBerry Desktop Manager (BDM) 4.6 under Windows Vista Home Premium 64 - bit for my BlackBerry "BOLD" syncing with my contacts, calendar and tasks Outlook 2007 files. I used Verizon VZ Access Manager with a Pantech USB modem to access the Internet. No problems.

Recently, I had to switch from Verizon to Sprint for Internet access and use now version Sprint SmartView 1.20.0016.0 with a Sierra Wireless Compass 597 EVDO Modem #2 (model #C597), assigned to Modem Port COM13. SmartView is started, it stops the BDM. If I take the BDM with SmartView running, the BDM will open. I can start the synchronization configured, but the program stops after a few seconds - not error messages. If I stop the SmartView program, the BDM is executed without incident (although it is very slow).

I uninstalled 4.6 BDM and downloaded BDM 4.7, to try to solve this problem. Unfortunately, the BDM needs access to the Internet to put in place the initial synchronization settings and I can not always run the SmartView and the BDM.

Does anyone have advice for me? I would like to be able to run both programs at the same time - and really NEED for initial installation. I've seen other users have reported the same issue in other forums, but have not seen all of the posted solutions. Thanks for all the proposals/solutions.

This problem has been resolved in Sprint v2.22.0042.0.

  • Smartphones blackBerry Desktop Manager

Well I use windows vista and everytime I restart my computer it goes in the crashdump I did a diagnostic and it says its in my bb maanager Office is there a way to uninstall and reinstall it or roll it back to an older version please help

Bishop of BB desktop version is 5.0.0.11 July 1

    Hello!

    Clean uninstall instructions are here:

    • KB02206 How to perform a clean uninstall of BlackBerry Desktop Software

You will probably have to start the computer in Mode safe to get to all this.

You can download and install any version you want here:

If you are synchornizing via USB (not), you should probably take a version compatible with your selected PIM:

    • KB12268 Applications supported by BlackBerry Desktop Manager to synchronize

In addition, a good trick with Vista is to use run as administrator for this regarding tricks of BB - installs, executions, etc... sometimes, it's all a difference.

Good luck and let us know how it goes!

  • Problem installing the blackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Desktop Manager 5.0 syncronization

I just installed Desktop Manager on a computer running XP. It loads well, but when I try to set up the synchronization that it crosses all the way says congratulations you have configured the product, and then you click Finish and it is said that another system has not been selected. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but it doesn't work. Any help?

Hi and welcome to the Forums! I can't tell if you tried this comprehensive procedure yet, so I'll give it to you to try...

I suggest the following steps (reboot insert a lot of restarting your PC... not only restarts, but at full power down). In addition, it is recommended that you are connected to the PC on an account with full administrator rights. In addition, Vista, use the option "Run As Administrator" for everything.

    (1) remove the package to update your device OS of your PC (Add/Remove Programs)

    (2) properly uninstall the RIM DTM software:

    • KB02206 How to perform a clean uninstall of BlackBerry Desktop Software

    (3) get a new RIM DTM software download:

    • Choose the version which is more recent and (if any) compatible with your PIM (if you are synchornizing via USB):
    • KB12268 Applications supported by BlackBerry Desktop Manager to synchronize

    (4) to download a new copy of your package to your carrier OS device (on your PC):

    (5) install DTM on your PC

Installation of 6) (also on your PC), device OS package

    (7) start the configuration Organizer:

    Any ideas?

I found this on another site:

(1.) start the Desktop Manager software

2.) connect the blackberry using the USB connector
    3.) select "backup and restore".
    4.) select "Advanced".
5.) look at the list of information to be displayed in the window "device memory" on your computer
6.) select "calendar all" and delete it
7.) go back to the main screen and synchronize them.
    8.), everything should work fine!

Essentially, it's a data file of damaged calendar on the Blackberry device, apparently.

    Hello!

Desktop Manager launches whenever I start the computer, even if the option to do so is not checked. It takes forever and I can't close it until it opens on my desktop. How can I stop to do and only launch when I click on the icon of the Manager?

If you delete the Desktop Manager icon to start (start - programs - startup) as described in the previous post, Desktop Manager will stay on your computer, but it won't launch the system startup.

It will be possible to run it manually via start - programs - BlackBerry - Desktop Manager.
