Smartphones blackBerry frozen, Reboot 8330?

A curve of Sprint Bberry 8330 user happy (so far), which is exactly a year, last week. Frozen device and I'm looking to reboot hard (if possible).

Tried to replace the battery in and out to the soft reboot the device and it gives me the hourglass, but then he returned to be frozen. Full charged battery, but the only time wherever I see the frozen screen is when I plug. The screen lights up when I call (tested once or twice), but it won't let me answer the call. Can / should I do a hard reboot and if so, how? I lose all third-party software downloaded from the App Store? User's guides do not show how to do this.

Thank you!

-Greg

On my way to the Sprint store this morning (assuming that the key stuck), for some reason any hazelnut, the Bberry thawed. Literally a block from their front door, I checked the screen once more, and it worked. Trackball on caterpillars, the keys worked. Savage.

Must have been the fourteenth battery-swap-out-and-in that I did this morning...

Thank you all!

  • Smartphones blackBerry frozen since the update - help!

Right, so yesterday my phone has decided to tell me here, it was an update of software available, thinking that it was a good idea I clicked on update. It wasn't a good idea. It froze on 10% for more than 10 hours, not 2 hours, he says he would. So I came here and read a few posts to see if anyone else had this problem and how they were solved. Someone said they shot the battery several times and it worked, so I tried. He turned back, it wasn't on the screen, than it was before, it looked like it would normally when it was locked, except my background had disappeared. I tried to release, but it was still frozen. So I had battery fire again because it was the only thing that would do anything and he re-charge by saying that the update is complete, but everythings gone. I have still my photos but all my applications disappeared, my contacts are gone, everything. HELP ME PLEASE?

I don't know if everything was plugged you on BlackBerry Desktop Software you pulled the battery, but if not please plug your phone back in your PC and open BlackBerry Desktop Software.  If your phone does not connect, take a look at this article:

  • Phone Smartphones blackBerry frozen for hours

My phone froze all day. The last two days, it was very slow, and then today it just completely froze. I tried battery pull approximately 6 times... same results. I don't know what to do. It does not connect to the Fund Manager. Can someone help me please?

Ok.  Thus, the unit does not start at all?  Just on the splash screen?  Even when the start while holding the previous button?

If so, you may need to reload the OS to the device, just as you said.  Here are some instructions to do so.  Don't forget that if you do not already have a backup, you will lose all your data.  Sorry...

    1. start by searching for your operator and the system operating file that you want to use.

    http://NA.BlackBerry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp

2 download the operating system of the file from step 1 to the PC then install on the PC by running (double click) the downloaded file.

    3. go in c:\program files Research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml." Also, check the following locations for the vendor.xml file and delete all instances of the file:

On Windows Vista/7, go to C:\Users\YOUR_USER\AppData\Roaming\Research in XML Motion\BlackBerry\Loader (where 'YOUR_USER' is your user name)

On Windows XP, go to C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR_USER\Application is In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML (where 'YOUR_USER' is your user name)

    4. use BBSAK from BBSAK.org and wipe the unit then after you get the 507 error (no OS installed) then go to the next step.

    6. plug the BlackBerry and double-click on "Loader.exe." It is located in c:\program files\common research in motion\apploader

  • Smartphones blackBerry REBOOT

Hi I have a bold 9780 and she seems to have a lot of problem
it restarts automatically, even when the phone is at rest or during use. Then the battery light automatically fills even when it's not plugged in any supply of electricity and other times shows full charge even when the battery is empty, and this is evident when I reboot the phone by removing the battery. I even updated the phone software and changed the battery, but its does not work. Help, please!

Hello and welcome to the community!

Please try this sequence... Note that, throughout the whole 4h15m process, your BB should stay connected to a good charger (not the USB PC):

    1. With battery, connect your BB to the wall charger
    2. Leave it alone for 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the screen not
    3. Remove the battery
    4. Wait 15 minutes
    5. Insert the battery
    6. Wait another 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the screen not

This has been known to "revive" some BBs.

It is also possible that your battery or BB has encountered a problem... to test, this sequence is necessary:

    1. Get a known good and already fully charge battery... use it in your BB and see what happens
    2. Get access to a BB good and the same known... use your battery in there and see what happens

The results of this will show if your BB or your battery that has the problem. Note that 'new' and 'well known' are not necessarily the same thing... Although rare, that a 'new' battery may be defective. The best way to do this test is to find an identical BB which has no problems... trade in batteries and see what happens.

In addition, I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

Cannot use anything, a bit like the mode without failure under windows.

Hello and welcome to the community!

I would infer that something was not quite right in the software update, you did, and so a refill of the BONE is in order.

At the top of each forum device, there should be some 'sticky' threads dealing with the level of the OS available for many models. If they understand your model, please use those as a reference as you go along. Otherwise, you will have to dig through the download portal official for packages of OS for your model:

From a PC, you can install any compatible OS package (for example, for your BB model exact number) of a BB via this procedure:

Note Although written to "recharge" and the storm, it can be used to upgrade, downgrade or recharge any BB device model - depends on the operating system package you download and install on your PC. If this OS package comes from one carrier other carrier for which your BB was built, then remove, on your PC, all copies of the SELLER. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:

    • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    • C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

Don't forget that you remove, since your PC, any other BB OS devices as packages with more than one installed on the PC can cause conflicts with this procedure.

If you are on a MAC, you are limited to only your sanctioned carriers OS packages... but can still use any level they currently have to sanction. See this procedure:

  • BlackBerry frozen Z10 software

I tried to connect my mobile with blackberry link on my mac, and then, when it does not recognize my camera, even if I checked my id bmackberry is correct, I then tried Blackberry mixture. It has expired and would not open the connection.

So I finally gave up and disconnected.

As usual, I opened my phone and put in my pin code sim, everything beautiful and then I slipped the screen as usual my password to four digits. Upward is a warning that I had put in the wrong password already 5 times? So I tried to put it in, and the screen does not respond. It is frozen and it still says: I am 6/10.  It does not react. I tried to take out the battery and put it again, but still the same.

Please someone advise me. I don't want to lose my data. That's why I tried mix of Blackberry in the first place, to make a backup!

I found the solution. On the usual place where I put my password, it said enter 'Blackberry '. What I had ignored because it wasn't my password. Now, with all the options are exhausted, I did exactly that and the screen came with password, and it worked normally! Thank God! My laptop won't recognize the Blackberry mixture.  After this experience, I'm not sure I want to trust him. Does anyone have advice for finding the right way to use the mix of Blackberry? I have Mac Pro yosemite.  All I want is to do a simple backup to not lose my docs and contacts.

    Hello!

Firstly I want to correct is that BlackBerry mixture is not used to back up BlackBerry devices.

"Mixture of BlendBlackBerry allows users to interact with their BlackBerry devices without interrupting their time on the computer. With mix of BlackBerry users can access email, files, and some applications on their computers the same way that they use on the device. Discreet, on-screen notifications to alert users to entrants, cats, updates messages and incoming calls.

"Users can continue to use BlackBerry link to back up and restore the data on the device, devices and to update or reload the software for the device.

Now, what I propose is to uninstall BlackBerry link and mix into your computer and download a new installer, and install it. In this process, open the first link of BlackBerry. If you have a device installed on your device password, you will be asked to enter as well on your computer before you can access the link to Blackberry.

Back up to please visit the link below:

KB33526 - how to backup and restore the data on the smartphone BlackBerry 10 using the link to BlackBerry

    NOTE:

Make sure that you have selected "BACKUP COMPLETE" when you back up your device.

Then, after you back up your device, open BlackBerry mixture to connect your machine to the mix. See above notes on what and how the mix works.

    Good luck!

Most of my colleagues use Q10 BB or BB Z10 and I have BB bold 9900, but I can't send them BBM I can receive their BBM. Help, please!

    Hello

    Thanks for the confirmation!

Regarding your question, there is already a Knowledge Base article that is associated with this error:

KB34245 : A checkbox, and then a red x appears when a BlackBerry smartphone running BlackBerry Device Software 5.0 or BlackBerry 6 to 7 sends a message to a smartphone BlackBerry 10 via BlackBerry Messenger 7.0.1.23

In my opinion # Workaround seems to be a little hard.  So I prefer you should first try to reinstall the BlackBerry Messenger application and see if it helps with your current problem.

To make your homescreen go to Options > device > application > locate and delete BlackBerry Messenger from this list.

KB10040 : How to view or delete the application installed on a blackberry smartphone

Deleted once perform a battery pull reboot by removing the battery while your device is turned on, wait a min. and then reinsert this return.

Finally, after the reboot, use your BlackBerry browser and go to www.blackberry.com/bbmdownload and download the most recent version available. After installation, restart your device once more, connecting with your BlackBerry ID and check if you are able to send BBM to one of these devices.

Please try it and let us know of your progress.

  • Smartphones blackBerry 8520 bb curve blackberry software doesn't have a software device blackberry for the device you have connected to the computer

the last time that I update it this is in version 5, but when I click on update download update again and suddenly, it was frozen and the result when I start my bb is reload software: 507

I read on the forums, but I can't work with this

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

On your PC (you cannot do this on MAC):

    1) uninstall all the BB OS packages from your PC,

    (2) make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed

    (3) download and install to your PC, the BB OS package you want:

    (4) If this OS package comes from one carrier other carrier for which your BB was built, then remove, on your PC, all copies of the SELLER. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:

    • C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

    (5) run the Desktop software and connect your BB... the software should offer the operating system package you have installed on your PC. If, during the process, your BB votre BB a '507' error, simply unplug the power cord of the BB USB and reinsert it. do nothing else... This should allow the installation to continue.

    Do not forget to save.

    Hello!

Each time a random strange behavior or slowness comes, the first thing to try is a proper reboot:

    • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes.

See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

If this isn't the case, then I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

The Setup program indicates that the new software has been installed, and then it seems to want to reboot the device. The device never returns, ends with an App error 606.

I loaded the cool device software, without change. Removed Software Desktop, loaded fresh, then loaded a fresh device software, without change.

I tried to load my old device software but the Desktop Manager will not allow him.

I reloaded software device 3 times, always the same behavior, always the same error at the end.

    I'm out of ideas.

    Any help?

Hello and welcome to the community!

    brunostyle wrote:

This bit is quite unusual... done correctly, you can force any OS on your BB package as long as it's your exact model number. So I'm not sure if you're really using all the good stuff... so, even if a lot of this will be redundant, please examine carefully for subtle tricks do you need to... done correctly, this can heal the situation. But any errors on the way (not ignored, stage not completed correctly, etc.) invalidates the whole process and translates the automatic process of support and limited to only the OS packages currently supported by your specific carrier.

The easiest way is, on a PC (you can not do on MAC):

    (1) make sure that you have a current backup and your BB complete... you can find the instructions at the link in my auto-sig below.

    2) uninstall all the BB OS packages from your PC,

    (3) make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed

    (4) download and install on your computer, the BB OS package you want:

    • If all you want are the levels of BONE, it is first sorted by carrier - the carrier supports, your search will be fast. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. To really get the package up-to-date OS for your BB, you need to dig through and find all businesses that support your specific model BB and then compare the BONE levels they support.

    5) remove all copies of the SELLER on your PC.

6 (a) to change your level of BB OS installed (at level or lower), you can run the Desktop software and connect your BB... the software should offer the operating system package you have installed on your PC.

6 (b) or, for recharging your BB OS level installed as well to change, work around the Desktop software and use the CHARGER. EXE directly, through step 2 in this process:

If, during the process of 6a or 6 b, your BB has an error '507', simply unplug the USB of the BB cord and reinsert it. do nothing else... This should allow the installation to continue.

You can also study the use of BBSAK (bbsak.org) to perform the wipe what he is capable.

You can also try the "skeleton OS Reload procedure" in an attempt to circumscribe the precise causal element:

    1. Load your OS "bare bones"... If everything is optional, do not install it.
    2. If the behavior is immediately, then try another OS with step 1
    3. If the behavior does not immediately, then run for as long as necessary to make you to be sure that the behavior will not occur.
    4. Add one more thing - no matter how tempting, one.
    5. If the behavior does not immediately present, and then runs for long enough to be sure he won't have the same problem
    6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 until all things are responsible or the behavior presents

When the behavior shows up, you know the culprit... the last thing you have loaded.

If the behavior doesn't re-present, then you know that step 1 or 2 cured it.

If the behavior has anything, then you have probably a problem of material level for which no amount of OS or software can heal.

You may also use these tips:

If you are on a MAC, you are limited to only your sanctioned carriers OS packages... but can still use any level they currently have to sanction. See this procedure:
