Smartphones blackBerry how to stop Facebook notifications?

I upgraded to v5 last week. I never used to receive a notification (FaceBook icon on the home page) when someone has replied to a post, or the tag me, etc.

How do I cut this notification? My Facebook is NOT important. I prefer not to remove the app, but I can't find an option anywhere to stop advising me of the stupid trivial updates on Facebook. If I delete the app, I'll do it, but I don't have from time to time.

Thank you!

Have you tried making sure that you disconnect the app instead of just close? Usually, if you are disconnected, you won't get notifications unless you configure notifications to send to your phone in Facebook.

  • Smartphones blackBerry how to stop the unwanted downloads music?

Hello, does anyone know what to do to the subject of music I found on my Storm, I definitely do not downloaded myself, because I have never download music ever! The only information I get from 'properties' is a date and time (31.3.09; 22.49). This is a random selection of 10 pieces of unknown musicians, who were not here a few months ago. How is this possible and how to stop it? Vodafone have no idea (as usual), but they said that I had not been charged by anyone (yet). Thank you

    Hey wandakp62,

While you are in BlackBerry Messenger hit the menu key and choose options here you should see an option that says "Show cats in app Messages".

Availability of device software is determined by your provider. You can check the versions available here: http://bit.ly/cukObT

  • Smartphones blackBerry how to stop the application running behind

    Dear bb

I had black berries "BOLD" 9000, all here, and then "small black clock pops out" (indicated an application running behind) how stop this application? 2 clear and 'logo' black Berry mobile report

You will always get this little clock if your memory is pushed to the extreme.  If it happens often, and it interferes with the proper functioning of your phone, remove your battery when your phone is turned on, then replace it a few seconds later.

At any time, you want to know what apps are running, you can press on and hold the menu key.  Some functions such as phone, Messages, browser, etc will always be running.  If you have more than just running at any time, you can close each down by opening the app, pressing the menu key and selecting close or exit.

Let us know if that helps.

  • Smartphones blackBerry how to stop old items to erase from my Storm after synchronization with outlook

When I sync my storm with outlook all items older than a week suddenly disappear.  I need old items to stay until I delete them.  Also everyone had their songs music disappear and reappear?  They are stored on the memory card.  Thanks for any input.

Thank you, don't know how to check the memory leaks.  Anyway, I got my music back by making the battery pull and I got all my info calendar back entering the Office of BB and make a new configuration of the synchronization.  First I had to synchronize in the direction that had most of the data to restore the information that has been deleted (for example my storm had lost a few weeks of the calendar events to I synced ensuring he was leaving office the storm.)  Once it has been restored to the storm, I have synced then two-way and all data are intact.  I hope it stays.  Also, I went in the Outlook Options, preferences, calendar free/busy Options Optiions and changed it be Publixh 12 months of free/busy information of calendar on the server.  I'm not sure it makes a difference, but keep your fingers crossed.  I know that I am.  Hope this helps and thanks again everyone.

Hello and welcome to the community!

There is a current major outage... official information are available here:

From my experience, this affects BIS, BES and all services that depend on those (BBM, email, AppWorld, web browsing, application access to the data from the internet, etc.). Troubleshooting specific issues during this interruption may be unnecessary.

Once the fault clears, if things are not yet flowing for you, try the following steps:

    (1) registry HRT

    • Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > host Routing Table > (it matter little what line is current) > sign up now

    (2) Service reference books

    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you!

    See you soon!

  • Smartphones blackBerry how to globally remove PDF files on the 9900

My 9900 file list "" documents "to go has 100s of files PDF named"sla.pdf"and"warrenty.pdf. "    I can remove them with a global deletion of some sort?   Why BB put them there?  They have just a bloody nuisance.  Someone has it on their 9900 besides me?

    Any help much appreciated.

    Hello

In my humble OPINION, the best way to manage the massive file management activity is not via the interface of the device. Rather, mass storage Mode can treat your BB as a USB on your computer and use your computer interface to manage your files:

    • KB13564 How to enable or disable the mode on the smartphone BlackBerry mass storage.

    Hello!

At the top of each forum device, there should be some 'sticky' threads dealing with the level of the OS available for many models. If they understand your model, please use those as a reference as you go along. Otherwise, you will have to dig through the download portal official for packages of OS for your model:

From a PC, you can install any compatible OS package (for example, for your BB model exact number) of a BB via this procedure:

Note Although written to "recharge" and the storm, it can be used to upgrade, downgrade or recharge any BB device model - depends on the operating system package you download and install on your PC. If this OS package comes from one carrier other carrier for which your BB was built, then remove, on your PC, all copies of the SELLER. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:

    • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    • C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

Don't forget that you remove, since your PC, any other BB OS devices as packages with more than one installed on the PC can cause conflicts with this procedure.

You can also study the use of BBSAK (bbsak.org) to perform the wipe what he is capable.

You can also try this procedure might limit the specific causal element:

    1. Load your OS "bare bones"... If everything is optional, do not install it.
    2. If the behavior is immediately, then try another OS with step 1
    3. If the behavior does not immediately, then run for as long as necessary to make you to be sure that the behavior will not occur.
    4. Add one more thing - no matter how tempting, one.
    5. If the behavior does not immediately present, and then runs for long enough to be sure he won't have the same problem
    6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 until all things are responsible or the behavior presents

When the behavior shows up, you know the culprit... the last thing you have loaded.

If the behavior doesn't re-present, then you know that step 1 or 2 cured it.

If the behavior has anything, then you have probably a problem of material level for which no amount of OS or software can heal.

If you are on a MAC, you are limited to only your sanctioned carriers OS packages... but can still use any level they currently have to sanction. See this procedure:

  • What is this message - phones smart blackBerry how to stop it?

I got my Blackberry Storm set up with a BES account.  I used a paid subscription to an Exchange account.  I decided to switch to a BIS account.  I did a full cleaning of the my storm and then set it all up again.  I have my own set up through Google Apps domain name.  My email account is a Google IMAP account using my domain.  Since switching to the BIS account, I get the following message is displayed:

Sorry, my bad.  There are three things to do in this case then.  First, remove the battery on your phone to reboot the phone and reset the connection to the server.  Second, if who does nothing, please log into your BIS account and resend the service books.  Finally, if none of this helps, call service provider's BlackBerry number.  Chances are that update the service books should help if.
