Smartphones blackBerry message and display problem

I am a new Blackberry user and you have a 8520 Smartphone (EDGE, Wi - fi), v4.6.1.314 (Platform 4.2.0.135).

I have TEXT Messages, E-mail and Messages files and the number of unread files appears. I met 2 problems-

1. your received but alert new message does not appear in any folder.

2 unread messages displayed on screen, but there are no unread messages in a folder.

I would be grateful if anyone can tell me how to address these issues.

Tips to clear the message unread... try them in the order.

If you have a new icon rogue Message on your home screen, or a negative number (-1), one of these solutions could erase or reset:

Try these options:
* Hard Reset BlackBerry now ALT CAP (right Shift key) and DEL (or with the BlackBerry power, remove the battery and reinsert the battery)
Messages > saved Messages
Messages > view folders, check each folder (calls, SMS and MMS, and boxes, saved missed boxes, browser, phone logs etc.)
* Scroll at the top of the folder, on the title menu, click or tap to MARK PRIOR OPEN date
Change your theme and see if it persists and return to your desired theme. (Options > theme > select.)
* Clean and reload your OS.

  • Smartphones blackBerry BIS and OWA problem

Hello, I am the COMPUTER administrator for my company. I recently migrated our Windows Small Business Server 2003 with Exchange 2003 system to new hardware. We have a BlackBerry Curve 8530 that is configured to use BIS and OWA to get his e-mail on the BlackBerry.

Before the server migration, the BlackBerry smartphone has been able to send and receive email without problems. After migration, the unit can no longer send or receive e-mails. I tried to delete the account and add it again with the correct information and he added successfully. If I use deliberately false information he errors correctly, so I know that it's properly authenticate on my Exchange Server.

When I try to send an e-mail message to the device, the device indicates that the e-mail has been sent successfully. About 24 hours after sending the message, the device will indicate rather an error has occurred on this message and it says "general failure"... When I e-mail this user to internal and external addresses, electronic mail never gets sent to the device. About 24 hours after the first time, I added this email account to the device, he received a Blackberry message saying "this email account is not currently accessible by your BlackBerry device, so you can experience a delay in email delivery. This problem may be caused by a temporary problem with your email provider. BIS will continue trying to access that account. "I searched all over Google and can not find any information that helps me to solve these problems.

I am able to open that box mailbox in Outlook Web Access without any problem, our company intranet using the name of the server and the internet using our IP address from an external location. SSL is required, and I mention that by entering "https" in front of the address when I create the e-mail account on BIS.

I personally have not visited with the support of the Association, but the user of the device has brought the phone their twice and they claim that it is a problem on my end, but give no indication as to what could be the problem. I have checked OWA permissions/settings of the folder on the new server from the old server and have done my best to match to them, but it still does not work.

Can someone help me with this problem? Thanks in advance for any help and advice.

EDIT - I forgot to mention that I tried to delete the service books and their removal, as well as the reinstatement of the device on the network. Neither seems to make a difference.

Follow-up in case someone else has this problem in the future:

The problem was that the name of the certificate that is installed on the new server was not the same as on the old server. No one that I spoke to anywhere (ASBL or RIM) could help me understand this, it was just something that I tried and it worked. I changed the name on the certificate to match what it was on the old server and then the Blackberry was immediately able to send and receive correctly by using BIS and OWA.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BlackBerry message memory and SIM card are full! Please delete some SMS messages.

    Hello

typical - just that I was looking to upgrade, I get the following message on my Torch 9800:

"BlackBerry message memory and SIM card are full! Please delete some SMS. »

There is a lot of space on the card in the device memory and press. I have deleted many texts and have removed the battery (several times), but the error keeps coming back.

I am able to text but can't seem to receive - although copies of text messages that I send continue to be saved. I'm having no problem with other forms of e-mail (for example, WhatsApp, Twitter).

I looked at 3465 Knowledge Base, which advises to uncheck the option "Leave Messages on SIM card", but this has been disabled throughout. (I checked it and saved out of curiosity, which allowed me to receive text only test that I then just sent myself, but after the error message is returned and no other text would come through...) I came back to this area being disabled).

Any help to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

When you say you deleted text messages, how have you deleted and how do you think that you have?

I suggest making a backup with BB Desktop Software. Then, you can use it to do a selective removal of just the basis of message text and see if you can receive messages after that. If you did the backup you can always restore text messages on the device if you want to, although he will crush all new messages on the device.

  • Smartphones blackBerry with curve 9320 problem: I need to disconnect and reconnect to receive mails and browse

    Hello

I have the following problem with my BB Curve 9320: several times per day email stop and I can't use the Internet (while telephone calls normally).

Whenever this happens I have to disconnect and reconnect to the network. As soon as I reconnect to the network again starts the flow of electronic mail and Internet is available.

I contacted my mobile operator (wind, Italy) and told me that it is not for lack of wind, but a technical problem of the phone.

Thanks in advance for your support.

    4. consider the update/reinstall the OS device.

  • Audio film blackBerry Smartphones BlackBerry Torch and lag synchronization problems

Anyone has this problem where after some time watching a movie the audio appears trolling out and synchronization of his lips is the way out. The image also appears to stutter and lag? Any who have the same problem and or know to remedy this? The files work fine on my mac, but when on the Blackberry, they have this problem. Its quite annoying, so anyone with a fix or a solution that had the same issues please let me know how I can sort. Thank you very much

    Hi RADIKAL69

If you watch a movie, I would recommend ensuring that no other application works (apart from the basic such as Messages, home, telephone, BBM and browser apps).  You can do this by pressing the menu button to see what applications are running and enter each of them to close in now the back button, or by pressing Menu > close/exit.  In addition, for best performance, disable all network connections.

If the BlackBerry is your film treatment and trying to deal with other tasks in the background, this could cause some lag in the audio synchronization.

    Thank you

  • Question display Smartphones blackBerry messages

Emails unread as a rectangular envelope will display on the home screen.  However, he also has an envelope in this configuration / _ / (i.e., an envelope "leaning").  What is - this and how do I get it off my screen?

Leaning envelope indicates a text message.  Go to SMS and MMS to display these messages and they will be automatically deleted from the home screen.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones 8220 Flip external display problem

I am a new blackberry owner and this is my first ever blackberry devive, so please be patient with me

The external display on my 8220 Flip is not how it was all day yesterday after I bought it.  Constantly, the external display shows the clock and extinguish.  I loaded last night on the bedstand, and this morning it was still on.  Music playback works well, but the clock still shows if music while the valve is closed.  External for pause and volume buttons work correctly and cause externally 'now playing' screen appears briefly, but then it goes right back to the clock.

I don't know exactly how this would have changed, but it seems to happen when I changed from one theme to another, unforutnately, that it has not corrected itself by returning to the correct behavior, after that I went back to the original theme.

I'm almost certain that this must (eventually) have some sort of negative effect on the life of the screen and battery.  Can someone point me in the right direction to solve this?

    Thanks in advance!

Contempt, I thought about it.  A hard reset is the display external back to normal behavior (remove the battery while the phone is ON, then wait a minute and then restarting him).

Hope this does not become a regular thing with my new phone :-)

  • Smartphones blackBerry Torch 9800 WiFi problems

Just bought a 'unlocked' Torch 9800 from Amazon.  We are having a problem with the game facing upwards.  The WiFi signal is detected by the device, but we cannot send or receive e-mails.  When you log on to the browser, we can not go to the line, as it is said that it has turned on WiFi but not coverage.  I have contacted my provider "Three" and they say that, to their end, everything looks good to go.  My previous phone is a Curve 9300 that works very well, I'll have to use my old phone and it is send and receive e-mails very well with good coverage.  The abandonment of the cover guard torch its all very frustrating.

We arrived at the conclusion that the problem is the phone itself, it has not been unlocked properly or we are missing something in the game upward.  If someone had a similar problem or you can shed some light on what we can hurt?

Hello and welcome to the community!

If you can use on the 9800, phone services via 3, then it's unlocked properly... but you can check here:

Any BB can be used on any carrier that is running the same radio frequencies that the BB is capable of (and I have no idea if your in are such). But, to bring you a BB on a carrier network that they don't sell, there are several obstacles to overcome:

    (1) the carrier must say 'yes' to the fact... they are owners of their network and have every right to say what devices will be allowed to connect to it. If they say 'no', then it's the end of it.

    (2) you must be sure that your BB is properly unlocked since its origin manufactured for carrier... see this thread useful for more details:

    (3) you must get all of your voices works on the carrier, before you even try anything on data level services

    (4) you must be a subscriber of the carrier, a plan of sufficient data to enable BB exclusive services that you wish to

5 (a) if the carrier directly supports your specific model BB, then you can proceed to the registration of the BB on their network, generating adequate for your BB service book delivery and treatment of the function. Since you didn't say that 3 you are on, I can't check to see if they support the 9800 or not... we do it, the other does not. But you can post via the official download portal:

If your carrier lists the 9800 in their portal, then they take over the it and you should be good to use it on their network.

5 (b) but, if the carrier does not directly your BB-specific model number, then the challenges are much more that most of the carrier's systems will deliver, for BB, the service books required to enable BB exclusive data services, even if you have subscribed to them.

So, based on this, your BB may or may not ever any function on this carrier network. It can be quite difficult to achieve, especially if 5 b applies. Then take a look at this and decide how you want to move forward. Most people end up just buying a new BB if 5b applies.

If 5A applies, then I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    (2) Service reference books

    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If this isn't the case, then you must keep workign with your mobile service provider as is their network with which your BB is unable to communicate, and only they can look "behind the scenes", as well as degenerating into RIM if necessary.

Good luck and let us know!

    any suggestions?

    Thank you

You all just rebooted the device and tried again the configuration of email?

Perform a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart. A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most defects and errors of operating system, and you will lose any data on the device doing so.

You can also log into your account to Tmobile on a PC and change/add email accounts there.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Desktop Software installation problem

I had a problem with Roxio Media Manager constantly want to reinstall.  So I corrected this problem and and uninstalled the Blackberry software. Then I tried to re - install Blackberry Desktop software so that I can sync my contacts on my computer at home.  I tried this from a downloaded version 4.6 and with the version on my Blackberry CD.  Same problem with both.

The installation starts and claims of language, then installation starts for a few seconds.  Then I get this message:

Error opening installation log file.  Verify that the specified log file location exists and is writable.

I can't get past this message.  He didn't tell where is the location of the log file.  Other installations of software, it's only the Blackberry software that will not be installed.  I tried to rename CProgram Files\Common InstallShield and make it read/write, but this install always fails with the same message.

Any ideas to try?  Nowhere else can I ask for help?

    Andy

    Thanks, that worked.

I unzipped the file, then I opened a cmd window and manually run msiexec with your Blackberry msi file.  I have added a flag/l to set the log file to a local file FichierJournal.txt and everything went well.

Maybe you specify a problematic log file name, at least for my computer?

Anyway, this new version of the Blackberry software works very well to keep my home contacts updated with my work contacts.  I'm glad that I was able to install without the Roxio media manager.  This program made me mad.

  • Untrapped exception Smartphones blackBerry messaging BB 85

9000 "BOLD", with Blackberry Messenger. Regularly lift lock on Messages and Messenger if they come across.

Or application, as well as sms won't open; all the others do, but to make a call seems to lock up the call if a connection cannot be established.

Message is "Eception exception: Application net-rim-bb-mail-app (85) is not responding." Application is complete.

Need to remove the battery to reboot the BB & clear constipation; and in this case, the message of the Messenger is lost.

Version of Messenger 5.0.1.41; OS 5.0.0.771, bundle 1301, 5.2.0.72 platform.  Australia Telstra.

It happens on a regular basis; I obviously have to get over it. Any suggestions?

(PS searched the FAQ of BB, but perhaps missed it, if so apologies!)

Best solution is to uninstall BB Messenger.  Doing that, no more problems now.

  • The network is disconnected (and display problems too)

Every day if I'm on my computer or not eventually at some point my network disconnects and refuses to reconnect. Finally he "reconnect" on its own, but it still will not let me connect to the internet. When I go to network and sharing Center and diagnose problems of use, it is said that I am connected but I can't receive information. I tried fiddling around with the settings and the suggested corrections, but nothing has worked.

In addition, whenever that happens and I restart my computer (which solves the problem) the display size is 1024 x 768. I get very annoyed at this problem and if anyone could do anything to help I would be very happy.

Go to the website of the manufacturer of your router > make sure you have the latest Firmware in Vista for it.

Go to the website of the manufacturer of your computer/notebook > drivers and downloads Section > key in your model number > look for it last network adapters Vista drivers > download/install the.

    Try without commitment TCP/IPv6:

If you still have internet connection probs, one thing to try is the separation of the TCP/IPv6 (which is done by going to network connection > right click > properties > it uncheck > OK.)

    Restore point:

    http://www.howtogeek.com/HOWTO/Windows-Vista/using-Windows-Vista-system-restore/

Do Safe Mode system restore, if it is impossible to do in Normal Mode.

Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

If the above does not fix it:

Go to the Web site of the manufacturer of your laptop computer-graphics/computer card > drivers and downloads Section > key in your model number > look for the latest Vista drivers > download/install them.

    Change the screen resolution

Screen resolution refers to the clarity of the text and images on your screen. At higher resolutions, items appear sharper. They appear also smaller, so more items adapted to the screen. At lower resolutions, fewer items adapted to the screen, but they are larger and easier to see. At very low resolutions, however, images may have serrated edges.

I have a Torch 9860 who has problems with my new Hyundai Santa Fe 2012. I can pair it with the bluetooth in the car and it will sometimes keep the connection on the next trip, but usually, I get a message "cannot connect".

If I go back to the previous version of the operating system, the problem goes away. I had to have the phone replaced recently, however, and the problem is back. It works very well with a Jabra headset, but not with the car. I could do the downgrade even, but I prefer not.
