Smartphones blackBerry ringtone

I put special ringtones for specific people, but may not know how to change the ringtone for everyone.

Thank you.

Hi Jeni,

Go to the media in the Applications and select ring tones. Find the ringtone that you want as a main ringtone and click the menu button. There is an option to set it as your ringtone.

  • Shutdown of blackBerry Smartphones Blackberry ringtone

Hello, I am new to blackberry and the whole philosophy so here is my question-I put the ringtone to always ring, assuming it sounds always, but when in my pocket, I presume that it detects the movement of the trackpad (when I walk for example) and ringing, sometimes after a second sometimes after a few seconds sometimes it isn't. So is there a way to fix it, so it still sounds until I press the Cancel button or answer the call?

Lock your keyboard in your Pocket (a horrible place to keep a BlackBerry!).

Then, your movement will not result in the ringtone to quit smoking.

  • Help of Smartphones blackBerry ringtones download

Hello.  I bought the storm yesterday.  My carrier is Verizon.  I went on the BlackBerry 101 on the site last night and he said to go in the media, then under the ringtones option there, choose "download ringtones" in the menu.  I tried which... but this option does not exsit in my menu.  Then... How and where can I go to download ringtones on my Storm?  Mobile.BlackBerry.com tells me to download the same way.

Does anyone else have this problem?

    Melissa,

You are right to not see this option - blackberry manuals can be very ambiguious due to the fact it operation of the 'general' device of overviews... not specific to the carrier verisons...

If you want ringtones?  You can use your own music from your computer!  If you have installed the Blackberry from your Inbox user Tools CD, you will see that, in BB, Bishop Office is an icon called Media Manager.  If you go here, you will see you can drag "/" drop "the files in a folder pre-designate ringtones on your memory card support.

Better yet, there are programs out there in stores and on the web that allow to cut snippets of your songs and create your own ringtones!  As long as they are in a compatible format, you should have no problem...

    I hope that helped!

  • Multiple Smartphones blackBerry ringtones?

I was wondering if it was possible to have several ringtones, as a specific ring tones to specific people, on my torch blackberry and how to do this? Thank you

I've never actually done it myself, but that's what, in my view, could work to experience it, I did.

From your home screen, go to Options > sounds and ringtones > sounds for Contacts > Add Contact alert.  Type the name of the contact for which you want a ringtone then scroll to alert settings contact and click on the phone.  You can now select a specific ringtone for that contact.

As I said, I've tried never did this, so give it a shot and post back with your results.

  • Smartphones blackBerry ringtones deleted photos?

I made a backup today with Office Manager... However, later I discovered that all my photos, ringtones, etc. have been deleted. My contacts are still intact, as well as my messages... not sure if there is any way to recover photos? It does not appear that my photos have been included in my backup, because I've just come back to her, and they aren't there.

    Welcome to the forums

The backup only stores on your address databases for example, book, calendar, profile settings, sms, etc. It does not store images or applications. Photos, music and other files must be manually saved and 3rd party applications can be saved with this guide: http://forums.crackberry.com/f3/how-back-up-3rd-party-applications-53201/

  • Notice of email assigning Smartphones blackBerry ringtone

I am able to assign ringtones to different contacts.  However, I can't find how to assign a different ringtone to my email notification of what is currently defined as default... Any help here?

Also, make sure that you set the case on and off option case as each has its own décor. If you use a case that has a magnet in it the device will know its in the case and play the appropriate rintone or vibration.

  • Helmet of constant of Smartphones blackBerry ringtone

The phone seems to work perfectly, but whenever I connect a bluetooth headset (I tried two more different) they sound constantly - even when I am already in a call.

    Anyone have any ideas?

Strange, never seen (or heard!) that.

I guess you did a simple reboot?  With the BlackBerry device powered time, remove battery for a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.

  • Smartphones blackBerry ringtone account

Oh yes, yours is a common question answered several times in this forum.

As a standard, most all carriers have a value default 15 seconds of ringtime until voicemail picks up.

If you do not need additional ring time before voicemail:

    1. The simplest method is to call your operator and ask a longer time of the ring, up to 30 seconds.
    2. If you have a GSM based phone, some have had success by calling that number from your phone: * 61 * XXXXXXXXXXX * 30 #.
    • Replace XXXXXXXXXXX with your carrier voicemail center number (find him looking at your phone dialer > Options > VoiceMail > access number.) Put your access instead of the Xs above number.
    • For example, the T-Mobile voice mail access number is 18056377243, and would therefore be the string to dial * 61 * 18056377243 * 30 #.
    • Replace the 30, the end of the string with your desired seconds. For most carriers, 30 seconds, it is the longest allowed.
  • Smartphones blackBerry eception exception: Application net_rim_medialibraryplayer (291) does not. process is completed

    Hello world

I'm listening to music with my blackberry 9700, but as soon as I select a title and click on play all crashes and I have to restart the device.

After indicating my pin code, I get the error message "eception exception: Application net_rim_medialibraryplayer (291) does not; process is completed.

What this means and what I can do about it?

    Your help is really appreciated.

Thank you very much in advance.

    Miriam

Hi and welcome to the forums!

"After indicating my pin code, I get the error message" eception exception: Application net_rim_medialibraryplayer (291) does not; process is completed.

Do you mean your device is password protected, and you enter the "pin" or you

must enter a PIN in order to listen to a song?

I guess that your support is on a memory card, if you take it off you have the same error?

No problem with the ringtones and alerts?

The first step would be a traction battery as shown below.

No data will be lost when you do the following: remove the battery while the device is activated.
Replace after one minute, let the device reboot 10 minutes, see if the problem is corrected. I like to leave the device completely reindex the files.

    If this doesn't solve your problem, try raising the phone in safe mode;

KB17877 How to start a BlackBerry smartphone in safe mode.

Check the settings of your media card, if they are correct, reverse them and reset. Then battery pull.

Use the following settings in the segment of memory of the menu options.
    (options > memory)
    Card support ON
    NONE encryption mode
    Media transfer protocol WE
    WE support mass storage
Auto enable mass storage support when it is connected TO

(still in status > scroll to security options > encryption0)

Make sure of course have no content protection enabled.

    Battery pull what happens?

If all else fails, I would use the following to verify your card (save the media BEFORE!)
' KB14745 ' " Memory card error, please use disk utility control on computer" is displayed on the home screen of the smartphone BlackBerry.

I've left the best for last, which would be a wipe and charging the device, OS, after a full backup successful device using Desktop Manager.

Try and see if you can get the following error information:

KB17215 How to extract information from a BlackBerry smartphone with the Chargers or incorrect command line tool

And the last would be the device OS reload.

KB13323 Untrapped exception errors appear on the BlackBerry smartphone

Let us know how it goes!

    Thank you
