Smartphones blackBerry... Simple error problem

I have my Verizon BB account before the 30 day limit to Sprint for a BB "ported". had the 8330 Sprint only 2 days.

Last night, I decided to try the Sprint TV. The logon screen asking permission to use the phone to number, but this lure press DENIED by mistake and got an error message:

Please activate the phone to number.

I tried everything I could to correct it, but to no avail so I called support this morning. After 3 trials and many screens of settings (from the old trick of Wizard to remove the battery) and 45-minute abandon us because the only solution was to delete all my data and start over. I was instructed to go to my local Sprint store where they transferred all my data in a new 8330. Quality service but maybe there should be a way to reverse a mistake like mine.

Have I not record... 3 BBs in 3 days?

Are you sure about that? Perhaps, but Sprint telephone support suggests that more precisely. I followed the instructions to the letter and it did not work. Maybe they read a book. At least, it is in English. I never call it fear support that the cable between here and Asia will break.

At this stage of my knowledge of BB, I don't have a lot of experience BB.

I found a Blackberry for Dummies book, but he got bad reviews. The RIM documentation in pdf format is not great either.

When I worked in aerospace, do not allow us software staff write instructions for the intended users. Which doesn't seem to be the case these days.

    You're BES (BlackBerry Enterprise Service) and not BIS (BlackBerry Internet Service). The difference is basically how your email accounts are handled by the corprate vs as a personal account.

    You must contact your BES administrator in your company and make sure that it does not obstruct access to any web page.

    Given your situation, I recommend first this method... from a PC, you can install any bundle of BONES to a BB via this procedure:

    2. Perform a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart.
    3. Now after restarting, try download again.

    A 507 error means that there is no OS on your device... so you can do nothing about it, since there is no OS to run it. But, it can be retrieved. The easiest way is, on a PC (you can not do on MAC):

    (1) make sure that you have a current backup and your BB complete... you can find the instructions at the link in my auto-sig below.

    2) uninstall all the BB OS packages from your PC,

    (3) make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed

    (4) download and install on your computer, the BB OS package you want:

    • If all you want are the levels of BONE, it is first sorted by carrier - the carrier supports, your search will be fast. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. To really get the package up-to-date OS for your BB, you need to dig through and find all businesses that support your specific model BB and then compare the BONE levels they support.

    5) remove all copies of the SELLER on your PC. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:

    • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    • C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

    Now go forward with the use of these tips (if all you ask to use a site update, replace it please the Desktop software installed on it):

    (4) in the ' connection: ' drop-down menu, you should see "USB - PIN: UNKNOWN". Click on the button "next".

    (5) you should see a list of applications ready to be installed for your Blackberry. Press Next and finish, and that you are well on your way to get your Blackberry to life. Congratulations! Just unplug and let the process finish completely.

    NOTE: If you do not display the list of applications mentioned in step 5 and instead to see the message "the Blackberry Desktop Software has no Blackberry Device Software for the device you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless service provider or system administrator', then you must download the Blackberry operating system for your support and your device.

    Excuse me, I have a blackberry with OS 7.1 9900

    and when I've done and press the back button to go to the home screen, the notification is still there. always in the toolbar State, but the icon in the notification already bar disappears, until I have shut the drawer and open it again to she disappear. How to fix this bug? usually, I restart my phone and it works. but another 10 minutes, the problem comes again.

    FYI - Your indignation is misplaced. This site has nothing to do with any formal support. On the contrary, this site is a community of users to volunteers who do their best, while also living their own lives occupied, to troubleshoot other kind souls to the best of their ability. There is no requirement for all voluntary meet any position whether... everything is voluntary, which is given to you by the goodness of their hearts. All they ever receive in return is gratitude... so unworthy of these volunteers can be a bit off-putting, I think.

    In any case you say you reboot and for a while, things are OK, but then the problem shows once again. Which could be a few different things... a bad OS... a bad app behave... maybe same material (although I doubt that your description so far).

    Have you checked for an OS updated for your BB? Since you said only 7.1 (OS levels have 4 bytes, not 2) and later does not reveal your carrier, there is no way to help you... but you can help you in this regard:

    Lack of BlackBerry App World icon can be solved, but for your problem with the error message you need to reload the OS, I think that your last Downgrad has not been successful.

    Your device, that's all that you can do the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    (2) remove and return Service directories

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    (3) restart to take batt

    • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

    If this does not it, it's on the door-side (as they have told you), and unless you have a way to fight them, you must wait for them to solve. You can, of course, check your contract documentation to see if it is at any point in the required resolution that they must respect... that normally would require so some financial remedies to their users. I have no idea what your contract might say in this regard, however.
