  I recently downloaded the new BBM application, and the icon disappeared from my phone.  I tried to reboot several times and it finally appeared, but he has not been called BBM, rather something net_rim_.  When I clicked it, it says "files missing resources" and would not load.

  Found the solution on another post. Do you have what he said, and the phone works again. Unfortunately, when I restored the backup it uninstalled most of my applications. Had to update AppWorld and am now slowly reinstall others.

After the update, it asked for a reboot so I clicked restart now. It has been restarted normally, and then it got stuck on the Welcome screen (the white screen where it says just BlackBerry® as well as the blackberry logo). I tried to reboot again, but it gets stuck on the same screen. I don't know what to do. I rebooted it several times but whenever he is stuck on the Welcome screen.   My 8530 worked fine in the day-then it is stopped for some reason any. The battery is fully charged. The phone will power any. When plugged into a charger the red LED lights up briefly then there is a symbol of a battery charge that will appear on the screen. The phone still does nothing. When connected to my computer in the Device Manager the phone is recognized by the computer but I can't use all the data.

  Any suggestions? Phone 3rd in 4 months!

  I removed the battery several times to try to reset. I left out the battery for about 30 minutes, re-installed and bingo! If first you don't succeed try again! It is running. Thanks for your help.

  Well Yes, since you have a removable SIM card option then I doubt it will work in your new location.

  But aleast you can contact your service, maybe they can take this phone off contract, after which you can use it freely with the SIM card in different countries.

  Please try this sequence... Note that, throughout the whole 4h15m process, your BB should stay connected to a good charger (not the USB PC):

  1. With battery, connect your BB to the wall charger
  2. Leave it alone for 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the screen not
  3. Remove the battery
  4. Wait 15 minutes
  5. Insert the battery
  6. Wait another 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the screen not

  This has been known to "revive" some BBs.

  It is also possible that your battery or BB has encountered a problem... to test, this sequence is necessary:

  1. Get a known good and already fully charged battery... use it in your BB and see what happens
  2. Get access to a BB good and the same known... use your battery in there and see what happens

  The results of this will show if your BB or your battery that has the problem.

  You can also try to start safe mode:

  It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, see what happens.

  If the behavior continues, then well... think what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.

  But if the behavior continues mode without failure, you may need to consider more drastic measures - WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload and the process of reloading OS 'skeleton '.   Hello. I realize that there are a lot of topics explaining OE to upgrade these smartphones. However, none of them address the issue I am experiencing.

  I'm trying to upgrade Blackberry Curve my wife v4.2.2.181 (Platform 2.5.0.35) to the latest OS (v4.5.0.302).

  It's an O2 handset unlocked running on Vodafone UK.

  I run the Desktop v6 software. It recognizes the phone without problem, but will not accept that there is an upgrade available.

  I downloaded the new OS and deleted the file vendor.xml without success.

  The opening of the list of applications in the desktop software, it shows only three applications: Bloss (Status: mandatory); Bloss One Click (Status: mandatory); and Google Sync (Status: installed).

  I just bought my Blackberry Curve and it is not sync with Mac pocket... is there a solution for mac users?

  If you have one of the new fast devices, you may need to use a patch.  It is not a problem with your device: it is just that the connection software has been changed AFTER the last program of PocketMac has been published.  A new is put to the test, but for the moment, there is a patch to connect to your new devices.  There is a special way to install it on top of the regular program of PocketMac, so just follow these steps and you should be able to connect:

  Is there a solution for this. First of all, go to the download page: http://na.blackberry.com/eng/services/desktop/mac.jsp

  and start the download process. When you move to the download screen, select PocketMac V4.0.20b for BlackBerry. Then, on the next screen, you have two choices of program to download.

  You've probably already downloaded the first one under the heading "PocketMac V4.0.20b for BlackBerry." If you have deleted it, go ahead and download again.

  Since you have one of the newer devices (like the 8110, 8120, 8130, 8310 or 8330), you may also need to download the patch that allows to connect you to those as well. This patch is on the same page, the section, "PocketMac Driver update - DriverUpdate.dmg."

  TO INSTALL:
  1 IMPORTANT: Disconnect your BlackBerry from your Macintosh.
  2. If you have uninstalled PocketMac for BlackBerry, reinstall the main program now.
  3. when the Setup program has finished, you will be asked to reboot. DO NOT CLICK on the button to restart.
  4. install the driver update file please, this installer will finish very quickly.

  CHRISALIS, try this first... with your 9380 connected to the wall charger and BlackBerry power, remove the battery and reinsert it to restart. This will often reset the battery meter on the device (which over time can become out of sync with the actual load of the battery). You may need to try this over a few times the next day and the next.

  Don't let not your battery to flow all the way to 0-10%, top it off during the day when you can, even for 15 minutes.
