Smartphones from blackBerry Desktop Manager does not recognize the device without administrator privileges

Hello. My "BOLD" BB works fine at home with 4.6 DM. However, at work DM detects that the device is plugged when I get with administrative privileges (Windows XP Pro, SP2). When I am denied the additional privileges DM cannot detect the BB.

DM has been intalled under administrator privileges, but I'm not allowed with this privilege permanently.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

It seems that when DM has been installed, it has not been installed "for all users".  Maybe uninstall and when it is reinstalled, make sure that the option "for all users" is checked (insteald "only for this user").

  • Smartphones from blackBerry Desktop Manager does not recognize that the "BOLD" is connected

I loaded the Software Desktop including Desktop Manager v4.7.  When I connect my "BOLD" via the USB port of my PC, the PC recognizes the new hardware and identifies it as a Blackberry Smartphone.  But when I launch Desktop Manager, it does not recognize the "BOLD", and at the bottom left of the window shows "Connected Device (PIN): No."

    Can someone help, please?

Thank you, but the problem was solved when I used a different USB port on my PC.

Some USB cables are provided for only working load. These cables have no pins for data transfer.

Implement a USB cable with pins for the transfer of data.

  • Smartphones from blackBerry Desktop Manager does not recognize BB Pearl 8110

    Hello

I recently bought a new desktop PC, with Vista 64 bit, but I can't get the BB Desktop Manager recognize my phone, I used version 4.7, 4.6 and 4.3 supplied on CD with the phone.  Vista recognizes the phone and install the drivers to add it as a USB mass storage device, but I can't get the BB Desktop Manager recognize the phone as being added.  I tried to install BB DM in different places, and my account is the administrator account.

    Thank you

OK, problem solved.  After wiping my HARD drive and reinstall Vista, I installed in first DM and she managed to pick up my phone, but after installing all the MB drivers and associated software, the phone stops being detected, if clearly something which is installed with the MB prevents the phone to be seen, just a process of trial and error to find the guilty software now.

  • Smartphones from blackBerry Desktop Manager does not connect to BES

    Hello

I'm trying to connect a BlackBerry (device or Simulator) via USB for our BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES). He worked for another instance of a BES and also a BES express test. We are using Microsoft Exchange. So I have a couple of Outlook profiles. When you start the Desktop Manager, I select the profile according to the connected device. Communication between the Desktop Manager and handheld works well. The only problem is the connection to the BES.

Device Manager displays under bridge "Connecting" (somewhat similar, it is not executed in English) and the name of the server is "srp.eu.blackberry .net: 4101. Then it tries to connect to the internet instead of the local server for BlackBerry. With other BES servers he was always showing the IP or the local name and the connection was set up immediately. Unfortunately at the moment I have no other BES to connect to.

I searched my local registry for the parameter in the Office Manager, but just under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Research in Motion\BlackBerry\PINData of the correct (as S12345678) serviceUid of our local BES server. My problem is, I don't know how this serviceUid is mapped to a server name.

Our license to a BES 4.1 which has been updated to a 5.0, there may be a few old settings that block the communication.

Question: whence the Device Manager get the address from which it connects? It appears in the Exchange? Or in the BES (global or with the user)? Does the Desktop Manager searches for the name itself?

    PS: Desktop Manager 5.0.1.42 (25 Sep 2010), 6.0.0.13, BBDevMgr 4.1.0.14 Device Manager

Finally, I found the solution! It's pretty simple if you know where to look:

    '' Cause. ''

Routing server (RPS) Protocol address was listed as a server name. The host router only accepts connections from localhost. »

    KB18489

In the BlackBerry Administration Service you should check the settings of the PRS. This is in the instance of the component dispatcher. In the section "RPS addresses" is only the value 'localhost' authorized. Someone here enter the name of the RPS server. Now when I enter just "localhost" the device series (by USB) works again

  • Smartphones from blackBerry Desktop Manager does not

My version of Desktop Manager (DM) 4.2 on my Vista PC does not work correctly.  I can open it and connect to my Sprint

8703e, but it is very little I can do with my DM such as the opening of aid.  Backup and restore option as well as other options are no longer available in my DM.  What happened to these options?

    Thank you

Hmmm... I think that I have answered your exact same question to www.blackberryforums.com

Try to update your Desktop Manager.  Also, I wonder if there is a COMPUTER policy on your device.  Look into the Options > Security Options > General settings and scroll down and look for any reference to politics.

  • Smartphones from blackBerry APP World does not recognize apps!

I was downloading a game Bubble Breaker, and I lost the connection.  I had already received the email that PayPal had sent payment because it is a paid app.  When I tried to reinstall, App World wanted me to pay for it AGAIN.  The company sent me a link to download because they had been paid, and APP World does not recognize.

I completely uninstalled App World and reinstalled and it does nothing to help.

    OK, good try.

Your ISP offer support for AppWorld... contact them and explain. If they say they can't help you, they can. They take over AppWorld. Ask the question to be reassigned to a medium technical level RIM.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Desktop Manager does not recognize Curve 9330 after software update Mac El Capitan?

I've read elsewhere on the line that there is no work-around and Desktop Manager will be updated to work with the El Capitan operating system.  Is this true?  If so, how am I supposed to save my Blackberry?

    Hello

    In fact (unfortunately)... see:

Legacy desktop applications went EOL in 2014. But, you might want to dig around it and other sites to see if any clever users have found a way to get the configuration you want to feature (I don't remember specifically... I know such were found for the LINK, but do not remember if it was also found for inherited DTM).

Good luck and let us know!

  • Smartphones from blackBerry Desktop Manager will not show that I am connected

My "BOLD" will connect to my Vista computer via a USB port. I can copy files if I do it myself. Blackberry Device Manager shows that I am connected to my computer. The Desktop Manager program does not show that I am connected. It says I am disconnected. I am the administrator of the computer. I loaded the program using the option "Run as Administrator" enabled. It's very frustrating! Please help me.

    Thank you

I got it! I had installed the program Microsoft parental control on my computer and things seem to start down. I uninstalled the program, and everything seems to be working again!

  • Smartphones from blackBerry Desktop Manager is not of Palm Desktop

I am trying to export my contacts from Palm (Palm OS, Treo 650, Desktop Manager 4.2) for Blackberry Storm 9500.

The wizard says "Select PIM. Select the software from which you want to import the PIM data"and"Software Palm Treo or Palm Desktop"option is disabled (in gray, no black) so there is no option to select.

I tried the other ways, such as synchronisation with Outlook or to import a CSV file, but they do not work or they map so bad that cleaning takes a lot of time.

    Any help?

  • Smartphones from blackBerry Desktop Manager falls down during the synchronization of outlook calendar

Today only has what is going on has begun - BB8320 synchronizes very well until the moment of synchronization of calendar (outlook 2003) I get this error message

    AppName: desktopmgr.exe AppVer: 4.2.2.14 ModName: ilxolk.fil

    ModVer: 5.5.1.246 Offset: 00060c 03

have you tried re - start (laptop and phone), have the modified sync settings, but always crashes at the same point - form 23 of the 35 records.  Someone at - it ideas?

Well, if the sync has gone well, you must have in your blackberry 22 items. Maybe they are stored in chronological order?
Anyway, 22 out of 35, which means that there are more than 7 events that can cause the problem. just wipe everything and re-create them then!

For the reason for the bug... here is maybe something at the event? an attachment, a special category...

  • BlackBerry 8830 smartphones & Desktop Manager does not recognize Outlook Express 2000, cannot sync

I just installed Desktop Manager 5.0 and connected to my BB 8830.  I use Outlook Express 2000 for the calendar and I want to sync it with my BB 8330.  However, in Desktop Manager under Sync / Config / select the device for the calendar, the only choices are Yahoo and text import/export.  Of course, it does not recognize Outlook Express 2000 as a calendar program.  Does anyone have a solution?

I bought this 8830 mainly to sync its calendar with my Outlook Express calendar.  If this does not work, then I'll go back to my cell phone operator.

I installed Desktop Manager 4.1 and it works now.  Be aware with this version, once you connect your BB to your computer, unless you go through the Wizard Windows Found New Hardware, Desktop Manager does not recognize the connection with your BB and your computer (I don't have to do with version 5.0).

RIM should be more attentive to people with a recent phone, but still using an earlier version of Microsoft Outlook / office.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones windows 7 does not recognize the device

I was connected my 8330 for a desktop XP for a long time.  The sw of the device is v4.5.0.175.  I recently got a new Lenovo T410 laptop, running Windows 7.  I downloaded the software (version 5.0.1) DM and checked my camera SW is updated, but the laptop is still not recognize that the device is connected (via USB).  I tried all ports USB on the laptop and also followed all the steps detailed in KB13146, with no luck.  I find nothing in any of the forums that refer to Windows 7.  Can anyone help solve this problem?

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

Here is the list of troubleshooting atricles... I hope that something will be useful:

    http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/T5/BlackBerry-Desktop-software/tips-for-getting-BlackBerry-deskt...
    KB02640 Troubleshooting USB connections
KB15486 Top 10 smartphone BlackBerry and BlackBerry Desktop Manager troubleshooting tips
KB11439 BlackBerry Desktop Software does not detect the BlackBerry smartphone when it is connected
KB00019 PIN code not displayed in BlackBerry Desktop Redirector
KB10938 "Current USB charge is insufficient," appears on the BlackBerry smartphone
KB01451 How to enable Sync advanced logging if a wired synchronization fails
KB19717 The BlackBerry smartphone is not detected as a USB mass storage device when connected to a computer

In addition, make sure you use only the root USB ports... without hubs (sometimes the front-end ports are hubs... use a rear USB port). And don't forget to try to disable the USB power management in the configuration of your system (Device Manager).

My apologies in advance if this is redundant - there is no way to be sure that if you have already seen and tried these. I can attest that DTM does not indeed a BB under Win7... mine is exactly so.

I hope that something it is useful!

    See you soon!

  • BlackBerry Z10 BlackBerry Desktop Software does not support the BlackBerry 10 operating system

I am wanting to sync the Z10 with my Mac andhave times link BB and BB Desktop Software but the message it gives me is:

This BlackBerry device running the BlackBerry 10 operating system.  BlackBerry Desktop Software does not support the BlackBerry 10 operating system. Visit www.blackberry.com/support to learn more about how to synchronize your multimedia files, backup and restore data from the camera and more, with your device.

All software are up to date on Mac and BBZ10

    What should I do?

You have the two desktop software and link configurΘ for dΘmarrer when a device is connected to your Mac. You must go into the Desktop software settings (I don't remember exactly what to do, but there should be some settings at the top right) and set it to not open when a device is connected. Once you have it set to not open when your phone is connected, make sure that the link is set to open. That should solve your problem.

Let us know if that helps you.
