Smartphones from blackBerry Storm 9530 screen is black, no response, even after the Os re - install

Hello.

It's just a few months because I bought a second hand BB storm 9530 on Ebay.

the phone was perfect for 1st 2 months... recently, few days back when I took my phoone out of the Holster, the screen was black but the backlight is turned on... I've done a few handfuls of battery and it seems to be ok,

then he started to get worse, even after that the battery does no display on the screen, it was the dark night (except for the backlight).

I started to get desperate, I reinstalled the operating system 5.0.0.32 8, it seemed to be ok for a few minutes, then back to the drawing board. I reinstalled the same version of the OS for a couple of times, but the screen did not show what either. not even the OS loading screen (the first one). I tried downgrading etc... no use...

the phone shows no signs of improvement.

Since my phone has not left any warranty, I don't know what to do.

Please advice me what do.i yet tried loads the operating system using the AppLoader.exe

I'm out of options.

I am a resident of kerala, India.

all my work related emails are merged with my BB... so, any help would really be appreicated.

I agree.. is not sound like a problem of software for me, but rather the LCD needs to be replaced.

    How can I remove the call log all at once instead of one at a time?  I don't want the list of msg with the prior deletion as a button

    said to someone.  The storm seems to only allow a call remove it at once.  Is it still possible?

    It is awkward, but here's what I found.

    1. Send Messages (one, he is indifferent).
    2. BBKey > view folders.
    3. Select "call phone Logs.
    4. Select the message at the top of the page.
    5. BBKey > delete before.

    I'm now theorizing... but given that the automatic call log - expires and deletes, it is likely that including the ability to delete several isn't in the main call log interface. But accessible as above, it can be like any other list of messages.

    I noticed that if you stream videos from YouTube the storm using WAP. But I read somewhere that if you have installed the YouTube app & it allows you to stream videos you actually do not use WAP/GPRS; is this true? I just wanted to check that info before you start videos I want to be hit with high fees when I get my Bill at the end of the month. Thank you very much!

    If your YouTube streams via http://m.youtube.com then you plan to use internet through your web browser. AS you mentioned you are in unlimited plan, I guess that's not a problem. Why vodafone is to put this type of bar is to stop using you're phone as modem IP.

    Have you tried to remove the battery? If so, I would say to do a reload own the software of the device as shown here: http://btsc.webapps.blackberry.com/btsc/KB11320, please test before you restore all data on the device.

  • Smartphones from blackBerry Storm 2 (on Vodafone in the United Kingdom) does not connect to WiFi properly.

    I'm having a problem with my Storm 2 right now - it does not connect to the router wireless home properly.  Router is a wireless G of Belkin model.   The page "Manage the Conections" shows the connected device (green text, but - no checkmark) and the status page shows that he has an IP address assigned to it.  This is confirmed from the listing routers DHCP client.  But the WiFi icon remains Gray and I cannot get the phone to authenticate to confiure the accounts email outside the company.  Failed attempts to addresses of ping inside or outside the LAN with timeout errors.

    Can one suggest a solution to this is iiue please - even if it has replace the router!

    I did a reset after updating Poynt and an icon to beat Social appeared under the application. Apparently, Verizon pushed this app on my device. After clicking on the app, it opens the browser and gives me a 404 error message. After going to they're website where they confirm that the software works on a storm2 I clicked download which took me to the verizon media page that then said that the program is not available for my device the storm2. I don't see a way to remove this app anyone know how?

    From what you described, there is no application installed to remove. The WHAT VZW pushes icon is a shortcut to the app DL/install, which seems to be missing in your case. Carriers push these teaser icons all the time and, as far as I can tell, are completely under the terms of their contract to do. Therefore, it has nothing to do on these icons teaser. I keep a folder on my home screen to the icons 'junk' of the things that I don't want to see.

  • Smartphones from blackBerry Storm again showing message - no message anywhere...?

    I have my setup of storm for two e-mail accounts and text messaging. About an hour ago my Storm showed an unread message, but for the life of me I can't find it anywhere. The indicator shows the yellow envelope (no red asterisk) and I checked the two mailboxes (both empty), voicemail (empty), and my test of the messages (no unread). Is there a way to know why my storm says I have an unread message? I even took the battery and restarted does not.

    Try to check in the saved messages folder. Database Messages, simply press the menu key and select view saved Messages

  • Smartphones from blackBerry Storm 2 (9550) synchronization of Contact with the Desktop Version 5.0.1.18 and Outlook 2003

    I just took my Blackberry last week and now in train to synchronize my contacts and have problems. I put the desktop software to replace the device to Outlook. That's why destroy all contacts on the device.

    All my contacts are sorted the name, first name. By examining the details of the synchronization (before it actually applies), I see that all the contacts on the camera original should be deleted (it's good!). But I find that some of the contacts are ignored and will not be added. In addition, some family names are now given names, and vice versa. When I have a John & Cathy'sname and a surname of Jones (for example), John is added as the first name, & is added in the middle and Jones is added under the family name. Nothing after the & is ignored.

    Is there a solution to this problem of synchronization? Are there better synchronisation software out there?

    In talking with the Blackberry expert at the local Verizon store, I find the problem and the solution in the following way:

    Using the example "John and Cathy Jones '... The sync software looks at the name of Outlook in the format of "first-name vacuum vacuum-name last-name '. So when white was found during the synchronization, it assumes the & is the name of way and he picks up the last characters to the family name. I had to fix all my names "JohnCathy Jones" or "John & Cathy Jones". Two of these formats properly synchronized. However, the synchronization software does not care what is in the field of 'Society' Outlook, all characters are synchronized.

    I just bought a Blackberry Curve 8530, running v5 software, my computer is Windows 7. I installed the 501_b073_multilanguage software that I downloaded from the site Web of Blackberry. When I run the Desktop Manager I get this message: "Before you start, check that your current BlackBerry device is connected to your computer." Troubleshooting functions I've seen on this forum: many tips (ones I've tried is below). One in particular, that I can't do is "Office Manager shows"off". ".
    -Make sure that the user has entered in the Desktop Manager and select options > connection settings > detect. »

    ... because I can't get rid of the error message dialoge box, and I can't click on the menu options in the BB Desktop Manager.

    I tried the following:

    • uninstalled and reinstalled twice - 2nd uninstall was a "hard" uninstall where I deleted the registry files by hand
    • installs the cable to the USB port at the back (after having tried both ports at the front) of the computer
    • rebooted the computer several times
    • hard starts the phone by removing the battery
    • plugged in, removed and replugged in the phone.

    Also:

    • The phone is properly install when I plug it in, but the software still does not seem to see it.
    • In Device Manager, the BlackBerry appears under portable devices. Double clicking on it gives me the message "this device is working properly." of reassurring.
    • The Com1 port is working properly, according to Device Manager.
    • A double-click on the icon of the Device Manager to get the properties indicates that the Com1 port is "disconnected" - when I try to set it up, it appears just back to the disconnected state.

    If someone has an idea or something that I have not tried, I'd be happy of course!

    Good, people, after a phone call from 3 1/2 hour with a (very patient) phone support person to Blackberry, here's what I learned.

    You can check your drivers USB in this way:

    1. Plug your phone into your USB key. Assuming that your Blackberry is "seen" by your computer...
    2. Go into the Device Manager on your computer (Panel)
    3. Expand the Universal Serial Bus controllers at the bottom of the list item
    4. Right-click on the BlackBerry smartphone, and then select Properties
    5. Click on the driver tab
    6. Click the driver Details button
    7. You should see a driver. I saw two. The one like the BlackBerry is the RimUsb one.

    So here's what NOT to do: we threw any driver who has been the "extra". This actually made using my mouse and keyboard cannot, because they are USB and my poor husband has sent in the basement to find a million-year-old keyboard (and mouse) with the old fashioned type of connectors (PS2). Bleh. Don't, don't.

    Here's what I did that worked (not saything this will work for you - it changes the registry to a backup system with this backup and restore if you are nervous about this kind of thing):

    1. On the start menu, choose run and type regedit into the registry editor.
    2. Follow this path to the file: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, SYSTEM, CurrentControlSet, Control, computer, class
    3. Click: {36FCE60-C465-11CF-8056-4445535400000}
    4. If there is an article called law "UpperFilters", delete it. (See photos)

    Bought this pc at Wal-Mart-mart December 2013, it's a 2000 hp notebook pc with windows 8 when you turn the pc press the keys to enter my password of the user, and after I entered my password screen goes black except the white arrow, proposed by the mouse pad will not do anything after that

    Enter the BIOS by typing/holding the F10 key immediately after switching on the laptop. Use Diagnostics test your hard drive and memory.

    My 9530 storm do not stop to show up and down arrows for data returning/send/receive for hours at a time. They Flash on and outside, as if searching for data until the phone overheating and or completely drains the battery. I deleted the applications that use the GPS or update my sites, but it still happens. Short of wiping the phone and reconstruction does anyone have suggestions?

    My 5 month old storm went south and a new does not appear as a device on Mac by USB.  Verizon gave me a new and it does not appear as a device either.  The old one popped up as a device as soon as I plugged it in.  I'm trying to transfer ringtones to new phone.  Two aides of tech support phone at Verizon had raised his hands in defeat and referred me to Blackberry.  They want the money just to tell me why their much-vaunted technological miracle won't talk to my computers.  Any ideas?

    Thanks for the reply.  This weekend, I drilled into my settings and discovered that the replacement phone that Verizon gave me had Mass Storage disabled.  Once I changed the settings, my Mac could see the phone when connected via USB.

  • Smartphones from blackBerry Storm 2 - where is the button "0" on the keypad to the format landscape?

    Just got a new Storm 2 and can't find the zero ('0') key, when the keyboard is in landscape mode... when the QWERTY keyboard is shifted to alt to display numbers & punctuation, numbered from 1 to 9 keys will appear but only a hidden empty box where the '0' should be.  It seems that the only way to enter a '0' in a message must put the camera in portrait mode, enter the key and then go back to the landscape.  This is just my camera?

    I have not seen this problem, you are on the 9550 model?

    Have you done all that it recharges battery traction and a value of 0 is still missing?
