Smartphones to blackBerry Curve 8900, vibrations ring

Hello

I'm using curve 8900 and I don't know what is wrong with it but I tried to put the profiles NORMAL to leave only the phone rings with tone and with no vibration but it still vibrates whenever the phone rings. Is it possible, this could be corrected?

Hmm... last thought would be to create a new profile and adjust your sounds here. See if that fixes the problem. When I got my BB 8900, I did the wizard of switch device, and for some reason any the phone remember my sounds for each of the 5 accounts email I put in place on the phone. To get around that I created a new sound profile. It worked and I did just that. When I install the new software for the phone came out, this sound problem disappeared.

Next option would be to re - install your BB software.

  • BlackBerry Curve 8900 smartphones cannot transfer media from my computer

I have a Curve 8900 without SIM card I use strictly offline and via Wi - Fi. (No cell connection)

When I plug it into my computer with a USB cable, it syncs email, contacts and calendar with no problem at all.

However, when I try to transfer music, photos or videos to and from the BB, I get a message saying "there was a problem so he tried to connect with your smart phone BlackBerry." He then proposed the link "troubleshoot my connection.

If I go into the "Device Options" section of Desktop software, I can check the "Organizer" or boxes "my computer's date and time...» ' under 'Synchronize' but the 'Media' checkbox is grayed out and cannot be verified.

The phone does not have a memory card or SIM inside.  Do I need one or two of them?

How can I get this unit to connect correctly to the computer?

  • Smartphones blackBerry Curve 8900 battery life

The life of the battery on my Curve 8900 seems to be getting worse. The phone is only 4 m. Need to recharge every day, but the use is minimal - used for texts and facebook + some downloaded items from the world of BB. I got disabling the wi - fi connection, but it seems to make no side. He started the busy day but is now only 12%!

    Someone at - it ideas?

To avoid the dead quickly on any BlackBerry, most important practice that you can adopt is to ensure CLOSE applications when you are finished using them.

If you simply press the Red "end call" key to return to the home screen application is actually open and running in the background. If you do this several times, you will have many apps open and therefore your memory will get used. Lack of memory is the main reason for your BlackBerry slows to a crawl or crashes. If you make a habit of actually use the menu button to close the applications that will at least slow this process memory-clogging. You may still do a battery pull or using the "Quickpull" app from time to time when things get slow.

Similarly, check your applications running in the background. There are four or five applications that will always run fluently (Messages, Call Logs/phone, BlackBerry Messenger, home screen and the browser; there are other third-party applications such as BeeJive and alerts of BlackBerry that will work also in the bottom that you can not close if you want they work). Ensure that the browser is NOT on an active Web page (open the browser and select the Menu > close). Close all other applications that do not need to be running (the camera or a game you were playing or Google Maps).

Here's some good advice from loading, please read and you will see that many of them will be applicable to you.

  • Autonomy of Smartphones for the Curve 8900 blackBerry

I'm new to the Blackberry and a Curve 8900 bought last week. The Web site specifies that life baterry is:

"Removable and rechargeable 1400 mAh battery that provides approximately 5.5 hours of talk time and 15 days of standby time. I'm reading this correctly?

For me, I noticed that the first days the battery was fees is pretty good given the amount of use. I did a habit to charge every night despite the charge level. But these days I decreased my usage and noticed oil of battery changes significantly after 13 hours. So I plug it into the charger immediately. I ensure that all my applications are closed as I heard that it can be a killer if left open.

I know that reading the other messages, battery life is an issue. But 15 days of standby time as announced. This assumes that you don't have a data Plan? Did someone went longer than a day and if I could have a problem with my camera.

    Thank you

I'll check it out. Thanks for your help

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Curve 8900 Media - music player

I'm totally frustrated of not being able to solve a problem with playback of music to my Blackberry Curve.

I copied and recopied approximately 2 GB of music four different moments of the curve.  I can play music from the cumbersome Menu > Explore > Media Card > Blackberry > music path (I have a memory card of 4 GB installed).  Which only allows you to listen to one song at a time, and you press the buttons about 5 just started the next song.

It just drives me crazy when I go to the menu music to enjoy the amazing features of curved IPOD type such as shuffle, Album, and song lists, nothing is there!  I ask Shuffle, and no song happens to all.  It must be a simple solution, but I can't lose all try more time to understand it... so far my efforts have resulted in NO progress.

I would be very grateful to get this little piece of advice to solve my problem.  I have Roxio Media Manager installed and just uploaded the 2 GB of music to the curve for the 4th time through Roxio.

Hi and welcome to the forums!

No data will be lost when you do the following: remove the battery while the device is activated.

Remplacer replace after one minute, let the device reboot 1-3 min, see if the problem is corrected.
    Thank you

  • Update of Smartphones from blackBerry Curve 8310

Hello. I realize that there are a lot of topics explaining OE to upgrade these smartphones. However, none of them address the issue I am experiencing.

I'm trying to upgrade Blackberry Curve my wife v4.2.2.181 (Platform 2.5.0.35) to the latest OS (v4.5.0.302).

It's an O2 handset unlocked running on Vodafone UK.

I run the Desktop v6 software. It recognizes the phone without problem, but will not accept that there is an upgrade available.

I downloaded the new OS and deleted the file vendor.xml without success.

The opening of the list of applications in the desktop software, it shows only three applications: Bloss (Status: mandatory); Bloss One Click (Status: mandatory); and Google Sync (Status: installed).

    Screenshot:

I get the same list of apps in the app Loader program. I know that from my own phone (Curve 8320 which walking without probs) it should show the OS and various other softphone.

I would be grateful for any idea that anyone can give!

    Hello

I advice you jump in front of Desktop software (with the exception of the backup/restore). From a PC, you can install any bundle of BONES to a BB via this procedure:

Note that although written for "reload", it can be used to upgrade, downgrade, or recharge - it depends on the OS package you download and install on your PC. You can even use a different OS package carriers simply insert, between steps 1 and 2, the deletion, on your PC, a file named PROVIDER. XML. remember that you remove, since any other devices OS BB as packages with more than one installed on the PC, your PC may result in conflicts with this procedure.

If you are on a MAC, you are limited to only your sanctioned carriers OS packages... but can still use any level they currently have to sanction. See this procedure:

Good luck and let us know!
