SMPTE timecode

Y at - it application/software for the SMPTE timecode to an iMovie project ONCE it has been published?

For example, I have a rough cut almost done I want to send to a person of graphics to add graphics, effects

beyond my reach, and I need indicate in the section where the effects graphics/enter, moves to start, stop, etc.

The version of iMovie I have 10.1.1 and that he is no longer even has the ability in preferences go to Hr.Min.Sec read (which I've read on this forum) in earlier versions.

Any help would be appreciated

Thank you

Hello

The latest versions of iMovie don't support third-party plug-ins, there is no software which will be able to apply the SMPTE timecode in iMovie.  As you probably know, there's a race time display above the project time line that could be useful in determining the length of time at any point in the timeline panel.

You said you wanted to "send" a rough cut of your film to a graphics person to work on.   Are you talking about send the project itself in the person of graphics, or having to send a sharing more editing movies?   If it's a movie shared out, I think it is SMPTE time code sofeware out there who may be able to add a timecode to a movie finalized.   You would need to Google that and look at the options available.  Not after adding timecode myself, unfortunately I'm not able to make recommendations.

Best,

Rich

    Hi all

You wonder if the PrP or hearing a time smpte code generator?

    Thank you

And according to a dialoge I had with AJA about 3 months ago (in regard to the chronology of the PrP SDI output), first doenst do not generate timecode in the SDI output signal. And according to their tests, FCP 7 was apparently on the same computer that they did the test on.

  • Lot of audio and video synchronization using the timecode

I'm having an impossible time finding what I thought it was a very basic feature.

I have two cameras and a set of audio, all synchronized SMPTE timecode container.

How can I synchronize their all this?

Here is the audio, here's the video. Synchronize them to me using the timecode. Pretty simple right?

The function "merge clips" only allows me to synchronize a video clip at a time to an audio clip. At this rate, it will take me hours to select each file individually. Is he seriously not a function of batch processing?

Not that I know of.  It is at the same time.

  • Hi8 thru cam HDV into FCP 7: waiting for timecode

    Hello

I have a bunch of Hi8 tapes I want to capture on the drive by running through Sony CCD-TR400 on the Canon HV - 20 MBPro & FCP 7.

I can see the execution in the window capture, but when I hit capture now it gets no further than "Waiting for time code."

I guess the Hi8 analog, but hoped the Canon with its AV > DV option would treat his way through.

    Any ideas?

Is the only way to do this would save on tape dv on Canon HV-20 and then capture the disk?

    The best

    Elmer

Hi8 uses only consumer re-writable (CCFC) timecode that is not readable by the PCF.  In the FCP capture settings, set "Device Control" device not controllable and then use Capture now capture rather than in batches.

  • How to quickly reach a specific timecode location?

I have a project whose starting timecode is 09:33:25.

I would switch to a specific timecode location (9: 48:45) by typing inside. So, I hit Ctrl-P and type 94845. As I type 94845, different figures appear in the meter. When I hit back, FCPX inexplicably puts the meter at 09:49:15, that's not what I asked for.

In addition, if I touched the game, he plays the project from the beginning (9: 33:25), 09:48:45 no or 09:49:15.

How can I quickly and easily move the playhead at 09:48:45?

Screencast of my problem in action: http://youtu.be/ar56W8vswLw

I do this hundreds of times to place markers, that's why I'm going to try to find a quick way to do it.

Make sure your TC departure is 00:00.

Just clicking on the TC field in the dashboard is expected to enter a TC the reading head will go to when you press return. You can also move it executives n by typing the = sign then value.

  • How to match a faster timecode alongside clip accelerated in fcpx?

    Hello

I want to use the counter of timecode on clips that I am accelerates, so that the meter remains synchronized with the fastest speed of the clamp and therefore appear also at the same fast speed. I tried a few methods, but the counter always remains at the same speed, regardless of the speed of the clip. is it possible to embed or attach the meter so that it will stay in the moment even where however long the new music video for speed is? any suggestions much appreciated.

    Thank you very much

    Leigh

Apply the generator of timecode in the video for normal speed. Select the clip and generator together and make a clip made up. Readjust the compound.  You will have one of the problems is that when you create a clip composed, TC generator resets to 00:00:00. 00. you use the Offset setting to reset the time to its original setting.

  • Read audio LTC timecode

    Hello

Are there plans for hearing support reading audio timecode in a file?

I know that I could use something like tentacle sync, but it seems not to work well with Windows.

    Thank you!

No, I don't think. FLC is not really important for an audio application only; It would be more appropriate in the first, I think that, given that his only goal is these days of audio and video synchronization. There used to be easy to use in Audition 3 (somehow...), but even in this case you have needed an external hardware unit. I don't think there's really that much appeal to her more - the world seems to have found ways to sync things doesn't inherently need to rely on it now. Yes, I know that there are still situations where it is useful - but mostly they refer to video and no audio.

Most of the situations where it was useful audio were covered by the use of the BWF, that supports the start times and the duration by nature, and synchronization is not really cause problems more - clocks have improved no end!

    Hello

When I enter a time code while in the panel mounting, the prescription jumps to absolute timecode. How to access the source timecode of the clip on the prescription is?

You can't directly.  You need to charge this element in the Source monitor, where you can go the desired timecode, and then make a game framework reverse to get to the very image of this sequence.

  • Cannot use the timecode source in my project?

I do not properly understand that Premiere Pro that you cannot use the timecode source in your project? My files audio syc'ed must be Sync manually!

You can read the timecode source of your clips in several locations within Premiere Pro.

If you load the clip from the source to the source monitor, don't you see the time code of the displayed item?

Where you are waiting to see the timecode and don't see it?

  • Clip speed / duration timecode format view

Hello, I am new to Premiere Pro. I have worked with the program for a few days and every time I edited the speed/duration of a clip, format the duration always read as some variation of the standard of 00:00:00:00 that I'm used to seeing. However, at the start of another new project today (using the same video clips as I use for the last couple days) I noticed the format for the duration of the time bed is no longer in the form 00:00:00:00 , but instead reads like just 00.

For example, a clip that is 01:18 now shows 49. Here's a screen Cap:

    Screen Shot 2016-05-12 at 12.58.52 PM.png

I used this clip (and many others like him), and he has always displayed its duration in the format 00:00:00:00 . I guess I have enabled a setting without knowing with a cmd + hits, but I don't know when or where. How can I get the duration is displayed in the format of 00:00:00:00 again?

    Thank you!

OK, think about it! I managed to get hold of an editor in my company who is highly educated with Premiere Pro.

The time in the sequence settings base has been failing at 10 fps (because I had a beginner workflow and the first file I want to add to my project was a simple movie clip that was only 10 f/s, which by default the setting sequence of the project at 10 f/s) (, and I do not have to observe this). Once I moved the time up to 29.97 base, I could select the option for 30 fps timecode offset, or something else that I love:

But thank you for troubleshooting! He took me certainly helped.

  • Can't set offset timecode, implemented in my project / sequence

With the help of PP 2015.2

    Process:

I start a new project and import a sample clip

(Timeline without any sequence top poster drop frame format: 00; 00; 00; 00)

I drag the clip to the timeline box that creates a new sequence that displays a code non‑drop frame format: 00:00:00:00

I have "hover" over the sequence of timecode display and right-click to change the sequence so that he abandoned the format of frame - and I am presented with these choices:

    * 23.976 timecode (indicates what is elected)

    timecode of uncompensated image 29.97

    feet + 16mm frame

    feet + 35mm images

    frames

If I go to the new sequence to create or change the settings of sequence - the only time code option that I can find is "display settings", which lists the options for setting even...

    What is my problem?
