    Hello

I want to have 2 shippers when I scan to email.

    My GMAIl SMTP works perectly.

Those of my wife at all (test KO).

Of course, I tried/retried the login/password, the firmware update (printer is up-to-date)

I also tried tab setting (via web print server) the option "mail server". I filled SMTP ID my wife and it worked. (Test OK)

    Where is the problem?

Thanks in advance for your comments

    Hello
Gmail offers several options of security which are not supported by the printer and it will block to connect to their servers.

First, open the following link and ensure that you are connected to the same account that you are facing problems of implementation.
    https://myaccount.Google.com/

In the section connection & security click on signature in Google and make sure 'The 2-Step check' is defined as 'Off '.

In the left pane click on connected applications & sites and make sure that 'Access to less secure applications' is defined as 'ON', otherwise the check fails.

In the left pane click peripheral activity & notifications, within the "security events" section click on the link to control events and make sure there is no connection blocked attempt (it will be highlighted in red), if there is no warning, proceed to the screen to ensure there is no block for this device.

Once you are running a test for the outgoing user profile and check if the problem resolved.

    Kind regards

  • Error SMTP sending reports by e-mail - not you usual ACL question

    Apex 4.2.5.00.08

    Data services Oracle REST 2.0.9

Recently, we changed our architecture around a bit of the APEX. Previously we used the Oracle HTTP server on the same host as the database. Now we pass the 'web' part of the APEX to another server using ADR with Apache TomCat. Under the old configuration, we have been able to send emails without any problem. However, when we try to do under the new configuration, we get the following SMTP error stack:

ORA-29279: SMTP permanent error: 503 #5.3.3 AUTH is not available

I would have thought that email would still go database server in the new configuration but, perhaps, it's fake.

    1 ACL have been created

    Start

    () mailserver_acl

    "mailserver_acl.xml,"

"ACL for mail server used to connect,"

    "APEX_040200,"

    TRUE,

    'connect',

    "MAILHOST",.

    (null);

    end;

    /

TURN ON THE COMPUTER HOST, ACL

    OF DBA_NETWORK_ACLS

    WHERE ACL LIKE '% mailserver_acl.xml ';

    HOST ACL
    mailhost/ sys/ACLs/mailserver_acl. XML

    2. I am able to send an email with success by Telnet to port 25 on * is * host and send emails directly from the command line interface.

    3. I am able to send successfully from the database using the PL/SQL interface.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you

    -Joe

When configure you the new application server, you MUST have reconfigured APEX, correct?  So you can have the apex_mail settings not the same as the old installation.

  • I would like to know how to prevent messages sent to be registered on the SMTP server

Currently, my Thunderbird client saves a copy of all messages sent to the folder "sent", as expected. All sent messages are also stored on the Server SMTP (G-Mail in this case). To avoid having to delete them manually, I want to warn the outgoing message to be stored on the SMTP server in the first place. Currently, my account of Thunderbird for Copies and folders settings has a check mark next to the option 'Other' with a destination of the folder option sent in Thunderbird. I don't see any other parameters that could control how sent SMTP mail server handles. I use the POP service only with the G-Mail Server. What settings should be in place to prevent messages accumulate in the folder "sent" on the SMTP server account?

I think I can now answer my own question! The question turns out to be a g-mail not delivered not a factor controlled by Thunderbird.

Apparently g-mail can automatically a copy of all mail sent by SMTP service one account. It's a "feature" that cannot be disabled! A workaround seems to be to set up a filter in g-mail account settings for all mail with an address corresponding to your own email address and send the message to the trash folder. Items in the Recycle Bin are automatically deleted after 30 days. Google prevents the rule 30 days being modified by measure of security, but at least trashed messages for irrevocably removed in a month.

  • How can I change the SMTP server to any server I want to?

This is a common situation, and I have seen many others ask a similar question. It is a simple question, but Thunderbird does not seem to allow it. In my case, I have a choice of two mail server outgoing. I can use my hosting company Godaddy or my Internet provider, the local cable operator Charter Web. By default, Tbird uses the same mailserver incoming and outgoing, if possible, so my e-mail account has been configured to use the outgoing Godaddy server.

I would prefer, however, to use the local server SMTP of Charter. But I can't find any way to change to that of Tbird. I could do it in Outlook Express, because both servers are listed for each e-mail account and can be changed.

In Tbird, there is a drop down menu to choose an outgoing server, with no way to simply type in a new server. Or am I missing something? I think not, because others report the same problem. I have vague memories that awhile back, Tbird would you allow to specify all server to an e-mail account settings and then test their validity before finishing - a manual of against an automated way to set up an account.

The main thing is I want to review the outgoing server of what I want, but it doesn't seem to be a way to do it.

When your problem has been fixed can you mark the thread as "solved" Please?
    Thank you.

  • Change the smtp settings in existing account?

I need to change the settings of smtp on several existing accounts (because the provider has changed their name from mail.nnn to smtp.nnn server).

In settings, the outgoing (SMTP) server setting only allows me to choose from a drop-down list of smtp servers, i.e. those I have previously placed under different existing accounts. None of these servers meets my need, of course.

It seems that the only way forward is for me completely re - create at least one of the accounts, and then use its for other existing accounts smtp server where, as much the provider will allow me.

It is a nuisance because I have to re-enter the filters, move, archive copy to Inbox, sent and write the contents of the folder, move all custom files and probably some other things I thought not again.

This question was asked previously archived section 'how to change the smtp Protocol. element of the outgoing e-mail server.

  • SMTP works, but POP3 fails

I've been a Thunderbird user for about 8-10 years now, and I use it with multiple e-mail accounts. I met a configuration problem, I've never seen before, and I can't find a solution (so far).

I changed my ISP broadband from Comcast to the border. With Frontier, of course, I get an e-mail account. I can access and use the account very well via webmail. However, when I manually configured in Thunderbird (configure automatically produces the wrong settings), password authentication will fail.

When I try the Advanced Configuration, SMTP works, but POP3 fails.

I contacted the support of the border to check the correct settings. They are as follows:

    POP3: pop3.frontier.com, SSL/TLS, Port 995
    SMTP: smtp.frontier.com, SSL/TLS, Port 465

I use the full email address for the user name. He checked the password on the POP3 server, and that's okay. I also disabled my firewall, but it did not help.

I'm puzzled as to why SMTP should work, but not of POP3.

    They don't support IMAP.

    Any ideas, anyone?

Your idea to try the iPhone was a good. It also generated the same error, which suggests that it was not a question of Thunderbird after all.

I ended up calling border once again, and the technology and I ran through everything once more. All the combinations that we have tried has failed.

Then, on a whim, I suggested that we try to set a different, shorter password.

The one I had initially set was complex with special characters and about 15-20 characters long.

We changed it for a subject from 8 to 10 characters long, with special characters.

    It worked.

    Incredible.

Thanks for your help with this one, Toad Hall.

I have a new one install a working XP machine. The same version of install on a XP home machine doesn't have the same problem with the same gmail accounts.

On the machine to work with a clean install of 31.3.0 thunderbird, I can't use gmail smtp services. Other services smtp to yahoo and my own domain name to work properly.

If you use port 587, then set the connection to use security STARTTLS.

In Thunderbird (not Firefox) "config editor" make sure you have this:

    • Security.TLS.version.Max; 3
    • Security.TLS.version.min; 1
  • Unable to connect to SMTP using TLS with a certificate self-signed on OSX 10.10.1 (T31.3 & 24.6)

I can't connect to my server SMTP with TLS on port (send 465 or 587 / 995 receive) using Thunderbird 31.3 or my OS X 10.10.1 24.6 (Didier) MacBook Pro.

However, I am able to send and receive mail from the same account on my Windows 7 machine using Outlook 2007, using the same settings I configured in Thunderbird. I added the certificate etc.

    http://img.Photobucket.com/albums/v631/Napoleon_BlownApart/ScreenShot2014-12-16at121323pm.PNG (Taken when using 24.6)

I am the admin of the server and the password and other settings on the side Server are correct! (I'll take a look at the evolution at the same time. I am already back to an earlier version of Firefox because of sloppy coding and broken features).

    Any ideas?

If the server name is a secret, how you expect to receive mail. Please, we have pretty bad without guessing. Seriously what you are done using a self signed certificate, they are free by https://www.startssl.com/

My guess is it of OSX who dislikes the self-signed certificate, how Thunderbird to deal with Windows. As you have a copy install Thunderbird and see if it is a question of OSX.

  • POP/IMAP/SMTP servers go offline in the Mail application

    Hello world

There is a discussion in the forum of Yosemite in this respect:

Why my SMTP/IMAP/POP servers go offline in app Mail OS X Yosemite?

But I still have questions 10.11 so I thought I could radiate and see if others have this problem too.

Essentially all IMAP accounts will be randomly disconnected. Reconnect I need to restart the Macbook. Cycling the Wifi does not work permanently, often declining again after a few minutes.

All other IP services e.g. web browsing, SMB etc, is all still functional - it just seems to be isolated in the protocols of electronic mail.

I seem to have the problem THAT when you use an extreme AC airport and only on OSX. No problems with the iPhones on the same base station.

It's intermittent, so very difficult to isolate. If I reset the interface or wifi, he'll be back for a few minutes sometimes and other times to the rest of the day.

Sometimes, it will be stable for a few days and then become unstable several times during a day.

I can't find a pattern and there is no error in the console.

  • I need the name of 'smtp server' and 'smtp port' to set up notification by e-mail from an internet security camera.

Maybe you can answer this question is in the area of my Firefox browser, or is responsible for my service provider of e-mail and internet, Frontier.

Hello, an smtp server is a mail server that is used to transmit your outgoing emails - you will need to find out this information from your email provider.

  • How can I see / change ports smtp used by 12.0 FF on my old WIN2K?

My webmail account works, although slowly, when I use NetScape 7.1. When I try to use the same program and service with FireFox 12.0, I can receive emails, but sending email gets me an error message is something like "Could not establish a SMTP commection with the server." The service tells me that my outgoing smtp port is 465 if I use SSL and 25 if I do not use SSL. Also, if I wonder about "authentication", it should be "identical entering.» Where can I find these settings in FF12.0?

I ask this question on another computer, not that I have problems with. My problem is an IBM Aptiva running Windows 2000 Version 5.0 (Build 2195; Copyright SP4) 1981-1999 Microsoft Corp. Physical memory available to Windows: 64 824 KB

SMTP is not webmail. It is a protocol for sending e-mail, used by such as Thunderbird or Outlook Express email clients.

Unlike the deceased Netscape, Firefox does not include an email client. You can try the add-on Simple Mail to add this feature to Firefox.

Normally, alternatives would be using Thunderbird as an email client alongside Firefox or Seamonkey instead of Firefox. However, the latest versions do not work with Windows 2000.

You should really consider replacing this computer. The operating system and browser are precarious, and which is probably the case for the software plug-ins and browser security. A list of the vulnerabilities corrected in Firefox since version 12.0 is quite long:
