snapshot backup could not be created

Then he said: insufficient storage available. I have a 4 to external hd and 430 GB of local hd so I guess he cannot access space. He also says to check the logs for vss and the PSP. I tried but could not understand them. I used to be able to backup, but now I can't. What's wrong?

I don't have any installed Language Pack. I think I solved it by changing the vss and the PSP to automatic snapshots and compression in the invisable partition. Now I can get a picture of the system, but the full backup stops at halfway through because he can't prosses a file. I solved using acronis for the full backup.

    Hello

The D: partition is normally your recovery partition that you do not touch with the exception of the enumerated grounds.

You don't tell us the size of your D: partition.

There are between 5-15GBs, is the recovery partition and read more:

Your recovery Partition was photographed on your hard drive during the production of your computer by the manufacturer for all of these reasons.

    1. to reinstall Vista from in the case of a failure of the system, based on individuals or the keys at startup.

You will need to ask your manufacturer for proper sequence.

    2. to make the recovery disks on if your drive hard breaks down, so that you can then reinstall the operating system on a new hard drive.

  • Windows backup error: a snapshot could not be created. Error code: 0 x 81000019.

Original title: Windows - no system reserved partition backup error

Whenever I try to back up files by using the backup utility Windows 7, I get the following error message:

"A snapshot could not be created. Check the event logs "VSS" and "SPP" application for more information.
"Details: the specified object could not be found" error code: 0 x 81000019

The backup utility starts and says is 'create shadow' fails.

In the research forums, I find a common solution to the increase in the size / cleaning of the system reserved partition.  My problem is that the system reserved partition does not exist on the computer.  The computer originally had Windows Vista and upgraded to Windows 7 x 86 Ultimate SP1.

Is it possible to get Windows 7 backup to work without a system reserved partition?  If not, is anyway to create a system partition reserved without wiping the hard drive and reinstalling everything?

I get this message to 5 seconds after attempting to back up using a Seagate external hard drive. The drive has plenty of space (1 TB) and is formatted NTFS. System recognizes no problem when I Plug and I can move files to and from it no problem otherwise.

No other thread does deal directly with this version of the problem (with the object "not found"). Any help or ideas are appreciated.

    Hello

This occurs generally when the Volume Shadow Copy service and SPP services are not started. We will analyze and identify the cause of the problem.

I suggest you perform the steps mentioned by "Diana D replied October 23, 2010" to a similar discussion.

    Reference:

snapshot could not be created Details: the specified object was not found.

Note: Make sure you put in road security software and Windows Firewall later once you are finished with the test.

Important: when running chkdsk on the drive hard if bad sectors are found on the disk hard when chkdsk attempts to repair this area if all available on which data may be lost. When you run the checkdisk, there are risks of data loss you can take a backup before starting the checkdisk.

I tried to back up my files using an external hard drive (which I have done before with Windows 7 64-bit), but recently I get the same error code. I have re-formatted external hard drive, run diagnostics on it, restarted the computer, etc and nothing seems to work. I also tried both options posted in another forum with the same error and too, they were not successful (external is already NTFS and now that it has been re-formatted is completely empty). Windows has more suggests? I hope not to have to use drag and drop my files whenever I want to save my computer.
