Software conflict

Hey fam... I have a serious problem. I think that the last updated OS (10.10), he created a software conflict somewhere. When I connect it goes into perpetual search mode, and then my machine just stops. If I sign up in any accounts or the comments of my children it opens fine. And to top things off to something which arrived at my back upwards as well drive. I just need to make my files. Can someone out there tell me how I can access my files.

Thank you...

Stop

Disconnect all external devices

start in safe mode and log on to the account

Try safe mode if your Mac does not end commissioning - Apple Support

Open utility disk (macintosh utility HD/applications/utilities/disk)

Select the boot hard drive, click on repair permissions (if you misrepresented your last "10.10" instead of El Capitan 10.11.x OS then it will not be available in disk utility.)

You can also start on the child's account and access your account files by changing the permissions that should not be taken by chance and probably not tempted until find you what the problem is with your backup. If you want to specify to include the details in this thread.

In any case, that you can target your mac to another computer on disk and access the drive from another computer.

  • Software conflict or improper installation?

Yesterday, I installed an update of Silverlight. Today, when I tried to use Netflix, the backgroundphoto that I use on my desktop (I have a Mac OS x 10.6.8 with iPhoto) disappeared. Whenever I try to upload a photo, it appears, and then suddenly disappears. Could there be some kind of conflict with the update of Silverlight? I tnink I do not close my browser window during the installation. In any case I would like to uninstall the update and then re - install, this time with closed browser. How do I do that? Thank you.

  • wireless software conflict or problem of driver... not sure.

Just wiped my hard drive and reinstalled XP software system. I downloaded all the patches and windows stuff. When I try to connect with my wireless my computer detects the presence of my network, but when I click on 'connect' (in the prompt "choose a wireless network") it connects for 10 seconds and then immediately disconnects. I'm sure that I have downloaded all the drivers legs and patches, too.

"Reinstalled XP software system" can mean different things to different people.

If you have just reinstalled XP, instead of using the technique of "recovery" of the computer manufacturer to return the computer as it was when it left the factory, you need to install the drivers for any hardware of the computer.  Windows XP has some drivers built - which is why the system can start with a clean installation of XP, but to get full use of your hardware, you must install the system-specific drivers.

Don't get drivers from Windows Update.  If you have a computer of 'brand', you can probably get the drivers for your particular computer all at once to the web site of the manufacturer of the computer.  Otherwise, you will need to identify the make and model of the different bits of hardware and get the drivers of their respective manufacturers.

In general, you will need the drivers for:
    motherboard
    network card
    Video adapter
    audio adapter
and, of course, devices such as printers and scanners.

  • Hardware or software conflict?

Problems with USB adapter for sagem wi - fi, network freeze all the time and therefore VERY unstable Internet, BSOD problems connection (a LOT). This, the software being updated through windows update, cleaned of unnecessary software, reconfigured start up with the command "msconfig", the updated drivers via Device Manager but that did not help because after the digitization of 14 obsolete found drivers drivers need more updated (online driver update software too expensive!) What to do next? I was at my computer for 3 days in a row! The network actually works because with my iPad, I have zero problems, it looks like a hardware or software incompatibility with my pc (OS Vista professional) problem. Maybe I need a new PC? Help!

We need the DMP file because it contains the single record of the sequence of events that led to the accident, what drivers have been loaded, and what has been loaded.

  • Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool vs Malwarebyte Anti-Malware

Explain the difference/other services/conflicts between Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool and Malwarebyte Anti-Malware.

I currently use Anti-Malware in conjunctgion with KIS 2012.

    Hi RW,.

Not precisely.  I say that the Windows Firewall is perfectly adequate, and I don't know any others that provide better protection (but others may have more options of configuration or bells and whistles, some will offer essentially equivalent protection, and some are not as good as Windows Firewall).  Of course, some will say that there are some firewalls that are better than the Windows Firewall, but is no longer a subject of debate and discussion than anything I saw firmly and convincingly demonstrated.  And we know that the Windows Firewall works properly with Windows and other Microsoft products and has great support.  And I never heard of software conflicting with the Windows Firewall, I heard things regarding 3rd party brands - involving mainly browsers, e-mail programs and security as well as configurations of network programs (not just internet, but internal intranet, you can have in your home using cables (, wireless routers/modems, infrared devices, bluetooth, remote deskop (internal or external) devices if used parental controls, interfaces with the security at home and/or surveillance systems wireless devices such as printers or scanners or fax machines and other similar things).

Remember, without a firewall your computer give to anyone trying to access the system through any network or remote connection via the ports.  There are several ports, most average users never need.  The firewall blocks essentially all ports except those that are specifically excluded.  That's where you come in.  Each has a default list of excluded ports.  You must go through this list and remove all exclusions that you know you don't need (and be sure you KNOW what you have blocked before deleting the exclusion).  Each exclusion represent a hole in your security that an attacker could have access.  The less the better.  When I came through the list, I probably cut just a little less than 50% of registrants - but I cut some I used but rarely I would have rather the firewall blocks and make the extra effort to unblock port temporarily the few times that I need to leave open at all times.  Although for Vista, this article will help you understand the basic concepts of http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Firewall-frequently-asked-questions.   Attention to the last on the list because it provides links to other articles where you can get better and more information that can help you to choose and decide.

I'm not going to argue here, since you have already the product and more.  This isn't what I would have chosen, but it is probably one of the best on the market suites and much, much better than some other choice, you could have done.  According to me, that it will probably do the job.  Quite simply, I don't know how good it is the Firewall works because I've never used this before then.  It may in fact be just as good and offer more features, or may not provide the same level of protection or cause any problems or conflicts with other programs or with your network (depending on how you setup).  I do not know.  You bought the suite because you wanted more features than just anti-virus protection.

I think you can guess what I personally would do, but I can't advise you on what to do here - it's your software, your computer and your decision to make.  Don't forget that you can always disable the firewall in KIS and activate Windows Firewall (or the reverse), once you choose.  This comment in my post was directed at all the recipients and I didn't change it to you specifically - I mean not that it appear as more accurately you invites to spend now that you have already bought another product.  I was trying to say to people in general, he was no need to spend money on a separate firewall when the Windows Firewall has been excellent and would do the job perfectly well.  However, Windows Defender does NOT provide adequate and afflicted an antivirus program protection must be added (that may or may not turn off defender during the installation) to be sure.

In short, the decision is yours to make.

I hope this helps clarify things.

    Good luck and best wishes!

  • OfficeJet 6700 Premium: Fax software does not load

    Hi people.

I had my 6700 for awhile now, but only recently required the use of Fax hospital.

What I've found, is that I have a problem with two things.

When I open HP Print Wizard there are two things that start to load but never actually do. They hang around 50%.

It's "Manage fax settings" and "digital SAF Setup Wizard.

I tried to remove and reload the software, but no luck.

    Does anyone have a solution?

    Hi @BigDingus,

Thanks for getting back to me.

I see that you could reconfigure fax and digital fax, that is great to hear configuration settings.

I understand that you have uninstalled and reinstalled the software, which does not seem to heal. At this stage, I can only assume that the problem is a software conflict, which blocks the ability to use these features in the HP software. The SAP offers same utilities, I would use the built-in Web server in the future.

If you have additional questions, feel free to contact me.

Thanks for posting in the Forum from HP Support. Have a great day!

  • Impossible to uninstall Logitech Webcam Software

I have Windows XP sp3, IE8 and all updates. Except 3 Logitech webcam C615 updates that all 3 failed to install with the same error code 0 x 80070103.  I have installed and uninstalled my software of Logitech C615, drivers and all a few times, hoping to redo the programwork. The program worked the first time I added it perfectly for almost a week, then without my knowledge at the time I had 3 virus severe threat (which I've taken care of via MSE) a week or so later when I discovered it. I don't know if this is related, but the screen would go black and dead when we tried to use the webcam, it does simply not at all. It's weird that on the same day I've updated these 3 updates failed was the day that I got the virus. So, I uninstalled the program overall, thinking the problem was the webcam and re-installed. It's the same thing, and Yes, the drivers were very good. I had yet to understand and fix the virus. So, I uninstalled it again. Still it wouldn't work. Then, viruses have been found and fixed. Now, here is my current problem. I'm trying to uninstall the Logitech Webcam Software C615 Ain Add/Remove Programs, and it will not uninstall! I '; worm tried and tried. Whenever a screen that is supposed to appear and ask you what parts you want to uninstall tries to ride, flashes briefly and then disappears, leaving me unable to uninstall. I tried the fix from Microsoft, but it without success. All parts of the program that I finally tried to do an unintall advanced disappeared (I think) except the software part. Help! Hello

    1. What is the full message of error/popup?

2 have what Microsoft Fixit you tried to solve the problem?

3 What problem confined to a specific program? You are able to uninstall other programs?

Looks like some third-party programs is blocking. This can also occur if the computer is still infected with a virus.

    Method 1:

I suggest to run the Fixit and try to uninstall the program manually.

Solve problems with programs that cannot be installed or uninstalled

Put your boot system helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. If so, you need to maybe contact the manufacturer of the program for updates or uninstall and reinstall the program.

Step 1: Follow the steps in the link below to do the same thing:

    c. click on the general tab, click Normal Startup - load all services and device drivers and then click OK.

    d. When you are prompted, click on restart to restart the computer.

    Method 3:

Run a scan antivirus on your computer.

    www.Microsoft.com/Security/Scanner

Note: If infections are detected during the scan, there is a risk of data loss because infected files will be deleted.

If the problem persists, you can report the issue in the Logitech forums for more information:
