  I used the same webcam for some time without problem.  It's a lifecam Vx-5000.  I used windows 7 ultimate and everything on the camera worked fine.  I've updated to windows 10 and of course it wouldn't work until I updated the drivers.  What I did.  I discovered that my network card is not a windows 10 driver and it crashed my computer with a DPC_Watchdog_violation time to time.   So, after trying and not figure out how to stop the BSOD I returned to windows 7 as Windows 10 allows you to do.  Once I have with retroactive effect to the windows 7 however.  I find that my camera is not working.  The microphone records as a device for audio input and functions normally.  However if I try to turn on the camera Skype answers over almost immediately.  Whenever I try to install the Lifecam software, I get the error of KB953691.  I tried all methods of fixing the issue is offered when the error code is sought without success.  I even tried to uninstall Lifecam, but I gives me the error that the installation package is not valid for the product, when I try to look for the MSI file, I can't find it anywhere.

  First issue.  Microsoft Silverlight guard display itself.  I hid at least twice since I reinstalled Windows 7 a few months ago and it's annoying.

  Second issue.  How can I stop Windows Update to provide updates for software that is not installed?  I installed Microsoft office with only Word, Excel, Access and Outlook and yet it is the display updates for PowerPoint and PowerPoint Viewer that I specifically not have installed.  Once again, it is annoying to have to check updates to software that is not yet installed on my machine.

  (c) what is the model of the LifeCam number? (E.g.VX - 6000)

  (d) what type of internet connection do you use?

  Installed Win 8 (own) on a second partition, (dual-boot factory Win 7 and Win 8 on the second partition). Installed all the software and drivers from HP for this system without any problems except for the elements of Cyberlink,"error 1603" code.

  Check the compatibility of your products from Cyberlink here.

  The HP position maintenance for Cyberlink is only an update.

  If you have installed under W7 from Cyberlink, then try the "check compatibility" button to see if improvements are required.  So just try to install Cyberlink under W8 then click on the products tab Compatibile.

  Can not get the software downloaded to install into the machine. I comes with a USB error. (no I do not write it down 'yet'). Has been able to set up the 1st computer for them through the wireless setup. Then the 2nd must be configured through the network connection. I read that you need to install the package.   Try these steps and let me know the results:

  1. In Windows Explorer, type %Temp%, in the address bar and press ENTER.
  2. Open the last HP installation folder, that begins with 7z (e.g. 7z1234S)
  3. Open the installation folder.
  4. Rename usbready.exe to usbredy1.exe.
  5. Browse a level upwards, back to the main HP folder and run Setup.exe

  Now follow the installation and the check for the difference of the ay.

  PS-4months have passed and several updates KB - took the risk and installed downloadede IE9, then ran an SFC... Still corrupt system files... Uninstalled it & presto - no file corrupted... Now the case #1165316803... have not yet heard back... Ho-hum...

• The Apple software update will not install updates

  OK, it's a pretty common problem.  I've seen this around other forums and each finger to Microsoft points.

  Flash USB, Jump Drives thumb drives, Memory Sticks, players, whatever they are called, they do not work on my Acer laptop.  Everything works still perfectly on my Vista PC and my work XP.  So they are not damaged.  Also an external Freecom USB 1 TB drive.  Does not work on Windows 7.

  I have an Acer 5338 (less than one year) which unfortunately as as a manufacturer OEM for Microsoft Windows are not interested in help to say that there is problem Acer.  ACERS site does not even recognize the existence of the cell phone model I which makes contact them for a solution physically impossible (everyone has a phone number or e-mail address >).  In any case, they had a free upgrade to Win 7.  (Oh you can't imagine how much I care that I didn't...).

  So I've updated.  And all USB memory devices do not work all of a sudden.

  All of them try to load drivers then give up with the error message.

  Just to get the usual answers to the road!

  • I tested the USB ports.  All work.
  • I uninstalled all the USB ports and let the Win 7 to reinstall. No problem
  • I deleted the file that records discs.
  • I made a new clean install.  Nothing has changed.
  • Cannot switch the chipset drivers.  Won't let me, says I don't need them
  • Each drive is displayed during the startup screen.
  • Each drive appears in Device Manager but the poster as a fault.
  • Updated installed, removed, re-installed all the drivers on the planet.
  • Tried the solution of "regedit" suggested elsewhere, temptation of power my laptop, lucky I system restored to the top.
  • Does not appear in disk management, so cannot deal with any drive letter conflict.
  • Have no viruses.
  • Have one firewall installed.
  • Prayed
  • Touched the thing of reversal
  • Pleaded
  • Pretended to cry.  Not interested.

  So, I'm hoping against hope that someone has a solution to this problem.  I have a vague idea that it might be something to do with the "ports" and the port settings.  I'm afraid is a closed book to me, so please, geniuses everywhere, please help!  Give me something new to try!

• 7280 software HP will not install on my HP Pavilion dv7

  I had to get a new hard drive for my pavilion DV 7. I can get windows to install the base driver. Cannot install the full software from HP. Followed all the instructions, including error Installation HP fix for Windows &. I have Windows 7 Professional 64 Bit.

  When I try to install the full version I get the error next message (see photo) and printer and driver is deleted from my computer and I reinstall Windows base driver. The printer works with other computers on the wireless network.

  It is with respect to the PCI-5640R.  I have LabVIEW 2009 installed, but I get a warning that the software support is not installed for the FPGA.  I reinstalled NI RIO 3.3.1.  All the software seems intact and I can't tell what's missing.  LabVIEW does contain none of the examples 5640R. A complete reinstall is not out of the question, but a little pain that I'm at a University and is not the original software on the disk... I have to download it.
