Software problem Microsoft Livecam

I am a technician of help for a City Desk and I have problems with the software Microsoft LiveCam.

One of our offices using a MS HD 6000 Lifecam to take pictures of people for their records.  Yesterday, there was a change made to their AD account (we changed the server to that their files redirect) and now the software will not work.  I went, and the error message says that it couldn't find the Lifecam files.  (Shown below) troubleshooting guide gave no real help.

So I reinstalled the software on the user (standard user, not admin) account and authorized installation with our Setup Administrator account and got the same message.  Then I launched the program on behalf of users using the command run as Admin and it worked.  I looked at the photo directory and noticed he was recording the files for the Setup Administrator account.  There is no place in the installer or even in the software that would allow me to change the default save location.  It seems to me that the software was written to save in the photo folder of the admin account that has installed the software.

My questions are: 1) does anyone know how to change the default folder location in this software and 2) if I don't change the location, would have made the user a local administrator, software installation, and then downgrade the user to the standard allowing them to use the software (my sysadmin wouldn't let me try this option without research)

The operating system is Win 7 pro 32 bit fully patched. LiveCam software came directly from the material Ms download page

    I use a USB Bluetooth dongle to transfer data between my PC and my cell phone.

    Hello. I bought my Livecam HD-5000, a year or 2 ago and I had no problems with it what so ever. I installed it on my PC game right when I built my computer in November 2013. He has worked since then, and it was awesome. I am currently running a 128GB Samsung 840 Pro as my main drive (C) and its operation VERY low on space. As now I have 10 GB free on my C drive... big problem. Honestly, I don't know how to solve this problem, because whenever I install programs I'd always safe to install on my E drive which is my 1 TB drive.

    in any case, is that everything recently that I was running out of space (as in the last 6 months). Immediately, I tried to change as part of my temp files would go in redirecting them so that they are out of my SSD on my TB to try to save space, im not sure if that screwed with it. But in any case, since my Lifecam HD-5000 just would not work. Whenever I opened my Microsoft Livecam program, I'd get a "There is no camera connected to this computer..." I tried looking for answers, and I tried all the troubleshooting options. I changed my USB hubs, 3.0 I tried, tried 2.0, made sure my registration of regedit, and nothing worked. I uninstalled Microsoft Livecam program about 2 months ago and reinstalled. Still nothing. Camera turns on, but it is not detected in the program Microsoft Livecam.

    I thought: 'maybe it's just the program' so I downloaded a program of webcam and tried using them to create a video, and of course, in this program my camera has not been detected. Again, I tried another program, a program that I normally use when making videos, 8 Studios of Camtasia and of course I get no picture of my camera, BUT its recognition and the blue light on my webcam is enabled as it should be. But when I go to start recording I get the error "an unexpected error has occurred. Capture cannot be started. ' Cool.

    So I decided to come back, uninstall Microsoft Livecam AGAIN. Now, which is what im. BUT now when I go to uninstall Microsoft Livecam, its stuck at "Please wait while Windows configures Microsoft LiveCam" and its setting as 25% and a window just pops up saying "Service"MSCamSvc"(MSCamSVc) could not be stopped. Make sure you have sufficient privileges to stop system services. "... and I clicked on 'Retry', and he keeps all try and come up with the same box.

    The question is when trying to install the driver the installation program can't stop web cam service.  Two things you can try.  First run the installer as administrator, then try to install it (even once, run the installer as administrator) in safe mode when the service of the camera does not work

    If the driver is older than win 7, you can also run it in compatibility mode (see figure)

    To run as admin (and compatibility) right click on the installer > properties > compatibility > check run as admin compatibility mode)

    There is clearly a conflict between the driver and the operating system.  I suspect that the driver was written for an earlier operating system a lot.

    The only thing you can try is to install the driver in compatibility mode.

    To run in compatibility mode do the following:

    Click with the right button on the installer > properties > compatibility > chose the operating system

  • Cannot install the driver HP Photosmart C6180 and software problems-, yet get HP-related crashes

    I had a lot of crashes with my main PC, a number related to HP, including at startup ("your computer has recovered from a serious problem") and close (the HP software responds only to not close).  I reformatted the system, reloaded Win XP Pro disk and all updates.  I couldn't reinstall the HP drivers and other software from my CD or after you download from the HP site.  The stalls of process at an early stage (only in step 2), sometimes blocks your PC when it does.

    The last time, I filled the experience HP online questionnaire and noted that I thought I had a generic problem rather than related to HP.  However, checking details on the Microsoft error report, I discovered that after the start I regularly get the message:

    HP Installer Recovery plug has encountered a problem and needs to close

    Download of HP is about 76 Mb.  I have on my C drive (System) of a program file HP/Temp with 7 Mb and on the E partition where I wanted to install the drivers and other software a program file HP / Digital Imaging, 30 MB.  Both are dated yesterday, when I finally tried to install from a download.  The HP printer is not displayed under the control panel of configuration/printers, or the Add Printer Wizard can recognize it on the network.  (I have not tried to disconnect the router and connect directly to the PC, but that shouldn't matter to software problems, should it?)

    Any advice would be welcome.

    Thank you once again, Dexter - it was a Microsoft problem rather than a problem of HP, I finally found and installed the right fix MS and just installed the HP software - to be on the safe side, I only did the essentials of basic printing and left the other stuff for later.  And I'll report this "resolved" if I can find the button after validation!

    I use iOS 9.3.2 on many devices and have no issues with Safari and Web sites.

    My brother just bought a new iPhone SE. Like his old iPhone 4 was unnecessary, he gave it to me.

    I had a problem with a computer that I just bought. It looks and works very well, but occasionally it freezes and only the cursor can still be moved. The only way to turn it off is to unplug the power supply cord through. If I restart it, it works fine, until it happens again (three times in a period of about six hours today). I went to the Apple store and they tested all and any equipment checked OK. I had just erased the disc and then reinstalled El Capitan, but it happened even before I did. There is no other software on the disk, only El Capitan. The computer has a unique key of 4 GB, and I was wondering if maybe that could be the reason, that it should simply have more RAM and two identical sticks together?

    The last time I was on the Apple store, there is no newspaper on the computer because I had erased the disc, but now it should be, so I guess I'll be back to see if they can find anything.  During this time, is that what someone had this problem? The 'genius' last time said he believed it was probably a software problem, in which case it will take El Capitan, or at least of Safari, which is what I used whenever this happens. When I erased the disc, I deleted the version back from the drive, do not know if the top would have been better, or if it could make a difference.     Unplug the unit from the PC. Restart the power off PC. Check in Control Panel programs and features for any reference to the Lifacam. If it's there, highlight it and delete. Chweck for the reference to the Lifecam Device Manager. If there, remove it. Reset. Repeat the upgrade.
