Solution Center and Windows 8.

I have upgraded to Windows 8 recently on my computer HP Omni 27-1054. The solution Center has stopped working. So, I found HP printer Installation Wizard. The wizard downloaded the necessary software, my old software uninstalled and installed the new. It works now. However the solution Center now only gives me the scanning options. There is no printing option. I will attach a screenshot of the Solution Center to show.

Is it possible to get this software to display the buttons to print as he did before?

Thank you

Dave

The representative of HP is correct in what he says, because of the OS all the Solution Center features change because of how the new operating system works in conjunction with older software. That could change because the operating system is developed or that our software has a greater compatibility with the operating system.

Just to be clear, however, that you have installed the software - after that - you upgraded to Win8?

    Hi Sunshyn,

Thanks , but I solved it!

As I suspected, the problem was HP OCR do not install with the complete software as seen and marked as already installed. It is very difficult to find it on the installation of the software, because ocr.exe is not named with the proper name.

There is no way to remove left overs previously OCR uninstal also with registry CC Ceaner, microsoft fix, uninstall software, etc...

The solution is to copy on the subfolder "docproc" on the folder of installation of office in 7Z files... recent dimensions of biggest temporary folder (windows + r and command %tmp%) and run docproc.exe. This is to install the OCR.

The PDF is now saved on HP C5180 correctly the personal analysis file. WOW!

    Hello texanbelle,

Thank you for using the Microsoft answers Forum.

I am including instructions below a scan to help repair the system files related to some components of Windows, including Windows Media Center, and Windows Media Player.

Repair Windows Vista Media Center files

You can use the following steps to repair files that are part of Windows Vista Media Center:

    1. click on the Start menu, choose all programs, then Accessories, then right-click on the item to the command prompt and select run as administrator

    2. click on continue to allow it to open a prompt with administrator privileges

    3. run this command in the cmd prompt: sfc/scannow

    4. the cmd prompt should list text stating "start system analysis. This process will take time. »

    5. wait for the scan to complete (this may take several minutes, so be patient).  This command will scan all protected system files and attempt to replace the incorrect versions by appropriate Microsoft versions

    6. once the analysis is complete, the SFC tool will indicate whether or not it found no problems and whether or not he was able to correct

    7. If any errors are reported that SFC could not resolve, there are steps in this knowledge base article which explain how to locate and attempt to correct errors

    8. after fixing errors that are found, try to use Windows Vista Media Center again.

Fix Windows Vista Media Center registry entries

Unfortunately, there is no easy way to fix key/registry values that are installed by Windows Vista, as there are files.  If you want to try to repair the registry values/keys that are part of Windows Vista Media Center, you will need to re-run the installer of Windows Vista operating system and repair the operating system.

Try this and tell us if it helps with your question.

  • Cannot install the Solution Center in Windows 7 for HP7310

I have a HP7310xi AIO that works very well until recently.  I've recently updated Win/XP to Win 7 32 bit and the printer software will not be installed correctly.  I downloaded and tried all the diagnostic tools that I can find on this site, nothing helps.  I can print but cannot scan due to lack of Solution Center software.  I want this to be a device connected to the network and part works very well with the printer, but I repeat, it will be no scanner - is network or USB accessory.

I downloaded (several times) the file of the AIO_CDB_Net_Full_Win_WW_130_141 software, which is supposed to install the necessary software, but IS NOT INSTALL the Solution Center.  I tried HPPIW for installation and also HPHNDU and HPPDU for the diagnosis of the printer, and who work very well.  I also tried HPPSdr (who works for the printer, but not scan) and HPSDU, which does not at all.

I still have my original installation CD and I tried, but of course it does not work with Win 7.  I also tried to uninstall the entire software package and then try to re - install, also without success.  It seems that the uninstall process is incomplete, or at least that's my guess.  I tried running also uninstall batch since the original installation CD files (the files to \util\CCC\Uninstall, Uninstall_L1, etc.) and they seem to work, but still the re - install subsequent does not install Solution Center.

I recently ordered the customers a new installation CD, expecting a full installation CD for Windows 7 and receive.  The label of the CD says it's for "HP Officejet 6300, 7200, 7300 all-in-One-series", and also that it is "Version 13.1.0" and "Windows 7" and "Multiple languages"  It is the number of piece CB744-10003 and seems to be exactly what I need.  HOWEVER... This is ACTUALLY ON THE CD!

Usefully, the label gives the following instructions:

Insert the CD in your CDROM drive

    All Windows operating systems:

    (a) click on 'Start' in the task bar, then click on 'run '.

b} type d:\Setup and click OK (where "d" is your CD drive letter"

This is exactly what I expected to see on an installation CD; BUT there is NO "SETUP" FROM THE CD FILE!

The content of the CD is exactly TWO FILES:

    AIO_CDB_Net_Full_Win_WW_130_141.exe, and

    AIO_CDB_Net_Full_Win_WW_130_141.MD5

The first file is the same as I've downloaded several times on your website and many, tried several times to install.

THIS CD DOES NOT CONTAIN WHAT THE LABEL SAYS WHAT IT SHOULD CONTAIN.

I spent a lot of time on the phone with 'Technical Support' (telephone number 1-800-474-6836) and just got a huge evasive.  The best suggestion they could offer was that I should 'upgrade' my printer!  I know the printer is old, and I know that the printer itself is not supported.  However, I expect better than that of a software package that is supposed to take care this device on Windows 7 AIO.

If I can't get this resolved successfully, I'll upgrade my AIO - but it WILL NOT BE ONE OTHER DEVICE HP!

Hmm...  I have an Officejet 7410 similar, I used the same configuration file to install and have used it for a few years on my Windows 7 system.  A few questions:

You have the printer connected by USB or network?

You said that you had upgraded to Windows XP.  Was this a clean install on the XP machine?

Are there any error messages during installation?

There are a few things to try: If the printer is connected with USB, unplug it before you continue.  Navigate to the folder folder (open the Explorer and folder type in the address bar), look for a directory starting with 7z and a date corresponding to when you tried to install the printer.  Go to the util/ccc directory in the 7z... directory and run uninstall_L3, uninstall_L2, and uninstall_L1 files.  (This is the program of uninstalling the version of Windows 7, it might be more effective than the XP uninstall program).  After you run each file three batch restart the computer and log in as a user with administrator privileges.  At this point, run the Setup program.

  • Unable to sync music using Windows Media Center and Windows Media Player will not open

Media Center will not sync music!

I recently opened Media Center and I had no music in the library. I have constantly played music from the library so I didn't know what is happening. When I try installing the library again once it tells me that a necessary component for Windows Media Center is not available. I have not changed or downloaded something different. I went to check if Windows media Player is the multimedia file sharing. The message I get from that is, basically, that something is missing.  Now my Windows Media Player is not even opened. I wonder if my Zune Player (80 GB) has nothing to do with the problem. I charge my player when this has happened, but I do this all the time so I am at a loss. I went to the page "problem reports and Solution." It is the symbol of the Media Center window and says that the problem is caused by Windows. The solution is to update to windows; which I am fully updated. I tried to restore the system to an earlier date, but that doesn't work anymore. I'm at a loss to know what being of any help would be appreciated.

As a side note video playback, TV and photos also works very well in Media Center.

    Thank you

    Shay

    Thank you, Shay

    Hi Shay,

You can try the following steps and check the result:

Step 1: Run the sfc scan to repair system files missing and corrupt.

    a. Click Start, click programs, accessories principally made, right click Guest and then click Run as administrator.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow.

    b. type the following command and press ENTER: sfc/scannow

The sfc/scannow command. analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.

For more information, visit this link:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833

If the problem persists, try the reconstruction of the library:

Step 2: Library rebuild Windows media player.

This problem can also occur if the library is corrupted. Rebuild the library and check if this solves the problem.

    Follow these steps:

    1. exit Windows Media Player.

    2. click on start, run, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player, and then click OK.

    3. Select all the files in the folder and then click on Delete on the file menu.

Note: You don't have to remove the folders that are in this folder.

    4. restart Windows Media Player.

Note: Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

If this does not resolve the problem, disable the Windows Media Player database cache files. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. exit Windows Media Player.

    2. click on start, run, type % LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft, and then click OK.

    3. Select the Media Player folder, and then click on Delete on the file menu.

    4. restart Windows Media Player.

You can also view the following green button and check if it helps:

The only thing I can suggest at this stage is to get a printer USB cable, or you can restore to a previous point while it was working properly. Here is a document on how to do it.

  • HPSLPSVC service does not not on my PC. Solution Center and C309g show buttons do not work

This worked for a few days and 2 calls with technical support...  Pending their next call and thought to try the Forum.  Seen many old messages on this task using a lot of CPU, but it's 2008 and 2007.

    What WORKS:
-printer is on the network to the address 192.168.15.254
    -I can print to it
-I can access the printer with the browser support page and the IP address above
-I can see the printer and print using my HP iPhone application
-I can scan by using a shortcut on the desktop and the program HP (and paint) in the DIM folder
-I can copy using a shortcut on the desktop and the program of HP in the DIM folder

    What does not WORK:
-HP Solution Center does not; Gets the error saying install is not complete
-Ditto for the launch of the digital imaging of the solution center monitor
-Installation of network device gets an error "Task does not exist" when installing.  Also got "task not found."
In some troubleshooting I identified this task - HPSLPSVC - such as not found NOT *.
This seems to be an HP device/network discovery support service *.

-The button of SCAN to PC on the C309g display says "Try startinf scan of the computer.
-HP diagnostic Scanner (HPSDU) indicates network problem
-HP Printer software Diasgnostic does not show the printer on the network, but it is
clearly there that the printer does not work
-A USB installation HANGS and eventually times out in peripheral step 'configuting '.  No other reason
that shows timeout.  Manager tasks indicates no. e/s or CPU to the task or the service (s) after a short period.

Among what has been done so far, because I bought the printer Thursday:
-dozens of software installs / uninstalls with ZoneAlarm and defender completely market
-A level 3 driver, uninstall and reinstall
-Uninstalls the success of all the previous HP software.
-ZoneAlarm settings to open ports and which tasks are in place, such as documented.
I am running version 9 +. the docs to install Version 8 reference parameters.
ZoneAlarm has been OFF during installation with the same result.

    Note:

services.MSC does not show this task running
I can find the HPSLPSVC32.dll task in the digital imaging bin directory.
There is a bit of CLSID, firewall name and rule for HPSLPSVC and HPSLPSVC32 registry entries
If this task is supposed to be running, there's nothing that appears to start, as for example the task CUE.

Any help is appreciated.  Can this service be started manually or otherwise if it's supposed to be here?

Found an article on the forum for a similar with XP and C4580 problem after I posted the problem.  Do you have a regsvr32 HPSLPSVC32.dll since the 'bin' directory and restarted as suggested in this announcement.

    Service now shows.

'Install' for my printer suddenly restarted automatically, and all finished.

    Printer display the buttons work.

    Solution Center works.

    CPU seems normal.

    All right.

    Bravo added another display.

The problem I have is that the printer prints all this trouble, and return to me the message "place the alignment on scanner page and press OK.

But the video was told to open a mysterious "HP Solution Center" which tells me that it won't open because I don't have a HP device!

    How absurd...

Now I have two problems, no Solution Center or alignment Page... actually three, because I have a HP printer that doesn't work too

    Cant believe it!

Please provide a screenshot of your control panel. Anything in red, you need to delete off your computer:

Once this operation is finished, continue to follow this HP document always above.

Your Solution Center shows that you don't have a connected device, then Yes, you have to go through all that in order to print an alignment sheet. You have two question right now I'm provides steps to set. You cannot print an alignment sheet immediately your printer, you need to use the Solution Center.
