SOLUTION EXPLORER. EXE must always run at the start of the TASK MANAGER after the LOGIN/WELCOME screen.

Trying to restore the empty desktop icons by the recommendations, I have a white screen with a pointer after login and WELCOME screen.  CTRL-SHIFT-ESC gives me the TASK MANAGER. and I returned 'explorer.exe' I then the full desktop with white icons.  I need to do this every time I have start or restart the PC. I checked the regedit and the only entry to WINLOG, SHELL is "Explorer.exe" any ideas about a problem?  Thank you!

Hi Eric1029,

You can check if the following registry entries are correct.

a. open the start menu, in the search bar type regedit, and then press ENTER.

b. navigate to the following location and check the entries for "Shell" and "Userinit" on the right pane:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon

"Shell" ="Explorer.exe" (REG_SZ)

'Userinit"="C:\WINDOWS\system32\userinit.exe '.

c. also check if you have the correct permission for this registry key (winlogon)

d. right-click and select permission. Make sure that at least with that you have group administrators, system and installer of confidence with full control and users group read permission.

e. check if you are able to launch explorer.exe in the window running in the Task Manager.

Important: The above method contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs.

For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, follow the steps from the link below:

Hope this information is useful.

  • Iexplore.exe process still running in the Task Manager

I was see multiple iexplore.exe processes in the Task Manager when I'm not in IE, so to trouble shoot it I uninstalled IE, run several different scans/squared (which found nothing) and iexplore.exe is still appear in the Task Manager. I guess that it is some sort of virus since I uninstalled IE and it is always showing to run. No idea how to do the trick of it? I am running XP.

IF IE 8 was present in the control panel > add or remove programs, then when you have uninstalled it from there, you have restored the previous version of Internet Explorer, in other words, IE 7.

The best way to confirm this is to start IE and then click Help > topic.

There is malware that disguises itself as iexplore.exe.  If you see iexplore.exe or Iexplore.exe in msconfig or in the Task Manager after Windows startup, but you did manually start Internet Explorer, you probably don't have a problem.
What antivirus applications you scan with?

If you haven't already done so, I suggest to do the following:

Run a scan virus online with the eSet online scanner (may require a download if you are using a version of Internet Explorer)

Download, install, update and run MalwareBytes AntiMalware (free)

Download, install, update and run SUPERAntiSpyware

You can uninstall all the latter after their use, if you wish.

  • The screen us black until I get to the Windows Welcome screen, where should I start to troubleshoot?

When I turn on my computer, the screen remains black, until it gets to the windows welcome screen 7, then the computer and video works fine.

I don't see the start of the video card or the blue HP screen information at the beginning upward.

Problem is solved.   When I checked the computer with a new video card, I noticed that an HDMI cable was used to connect to my screen.   This allows information to move to the screen until windows load the correct driver for my video card, resulting in a blank screen.

  • How to bring back the old welcome screen?

I understood how to disable the new Welcome screen that happened with the last Illustrator CC 2015, but I can't find a way to get the old welcome screen. His tutorials and information have been very useful.

Unfortunately, you can not. I'm bored, too. Scream, scream and have a shape, maybe they will bring the 'old' but 'new' return to welcome screen stile! Here's the deal, you can go directly on Adobe TV and find that sort of thing. Maybe when people stop to watch videos because they can not find them and are more aware of them, Adobe will get a clue and get another welcome screen!

Everyone listening out there? I teach, especially beginners. It was a fabulous resource for them! Now, they are left with junk that they cannot wait to hide.

  • Startup EXE does not run in the controller for cRIO-9002

    Hi all

I have a compactRIO with controller NI 9002. The controller has the software suite.

    1 2011 Labview real-time

    2 NOR-RIO 4.0

I made simple user LED flashing application target RT using Labview 2011 and build EXE. But EXE will not run after a successful deployment. I tried the cRIO controller using the rest of the basis of knowledge OR troubleshooting.

Kindly help me to solve this problem.

You must disable the optimization to SSE2 option in your build properties that you run on a cRIO 9002, which is an older model that does not support this feature:

  • Explorer.exe is not running after logon

XP Home SP3, Microsoft updates current running.  Also running avast! 6 free 3.54 Sandboxie, Windows Defender, COMODO Firewall (free) Malwarebytes Anti-Malware free, SUPERAntispyware Free Edition, PC Tools ThreatFire.  Firefox 4.0.1 and also installed IE8.

Only three of these programs are running real time: avast!, COMODO, ThreatFire and Sandboxie when running a browser.

Updated definition files scanning shows the system to be clean.  System runs very quickly and smoothly.

Problem: Explorer.exe will not start after login.  Desktop is missing, taskbar, tray system, clock, start button and desktop icons and system stalls.  Check the Task Manager shows explorer.exe has not been loaded.  The first couple of times this happened it, CTRL + ALT + DELETE is the Task Manager, and I chose restart from, even when you are connected, and then explorer.exe should boot and load.

I have not checked yet to see, if and when this condition occurs again, if explorer.exe is going to load by clicking New Task Manager tasks.

Safe mode and running last last known good configuration worked the last time.

What should I look for in the registry?
