SOLUTION: Get Win 7 printer drivers/HP Solution Center for work on Windows 8

Took me some time to understand it, but I managed to do the work.

First of all, the preliminaries:

I have a laptop HP dv9700t running the 64-bit version of Windows 8 Pro RTM (not the preview, but I guess it will work as well on the preview).  My printer is a HP Photosmart C7280.  If you have a different printer, it is possible that something similar to how I solved my problem will help you, especially by running your installation in Windows 7 Compatibility Mode files.

Windows 8 is provided with printer C7280 stock drivers that work by going to control panel > printers and devices > add a printer, but there is only limited to those features.  As such, I wanted to run the HP Setup files have increased functionality.

Unfortunately, when I run the full installer of HP for my printer, there was no button 'Install a printer', or one of the other usual buttons.  There was only one button "quit".

Here's how to let him run and install correctly.

Right click on the HP full installation file, then properties > compatibility > then check the box "run this program in compatibility mode for:", select "Windows 7" in the drop-down list box, then click on 'OK'.

Run the installation file as you would normally in Windows 7.

I tried this two ways... first when you're connected via a USB cable.  It works perfectly without error.

I also tried with the printer connected to the network via WiFi.  A few problems.

The installation program detects my printer very well, and I clicked 'Next' or 'OK' or whatever the prompt was to install the printer.  The installation would hang 'Response of SNMP' (or something similar) and it would list the IP address of my printer.  I waited, waited, waited for an hour, and it would not go beyond that.  Not to worry.

Proceed with the normal installation until you get the message 'Response of SNMP' and the installation fails.

Enter with CTRL-ALT-DEL Task Manager.  You will see an entry in the 'Apps' to the installer of HP... DROP.

Below the "Apps" list, you will see the list of "background processes".  In this list is something along the lines of "HP Network Interface user", or something similar, consuming a significant amount of CPU.  Highlight this entry and click "End task" downstairs.

The "SNMP" window closes and your installer will end then normally and your printer/fax/scanner will be installed correctly.  HP Solution Center works normally, like printing, scanning, etc.

The next person who uses that will give a few comments and also answer a few questions for me so I can update this post with more specific information?

Please let me know what is the exact "SNMP" message when the installation is blocked.  Please let me also know that the exact name of the background process "HP Network User Interface" is, and the name of app Installation HP.

I hope this will help you.

    Hi fabler80957302

Please confirm if you get the error message below

If so, it is a special type of PDF form with Adobe LiveCycle Designer. And mobile applications of Acrobat Reader do not support these forms.

I suggest for you please download the PDF document on your Windows or Mac desktop and open the same with the Acrobat reader DC desktop version.

  • HP 4500 GS10n-z: Solution Center not working not not for Win 7

My Solution Center has just stopped working, I tried all the solutions I found here, including empty the temporary files, unistalling and current features and drivers, replacement hpqscloc complete software installation.  I noticed that a recent update of Microsoft 3132372 raises questions on 10 to win, but this update does not appear on my computer.  I wonder if different update for Windows 7 is the culprit, since when I run HP and Scan Doctor for Windows printing, the printer will scan, but displays an error to the Solution Center.  The weird part is that I don't even show Solution Center on my list of program isntalled EXCEPT when I try to run the full feature software and drivers, then it shows already installed sound.

    Any ideas?

    Rainbow7000,

Finally got everything working. First using System Scan, then unistall4, then analysis system, unistall4, and twice as much for good luck restarting after each process.  Then using CC Cleaner, I uninstalled all HP programs remaining. Reset. Then an analysis of the system again. Restart the registry then using CC Cleaner cleaning.  Reset. Then I emptied the Temp folder.  An analysis over system. Reset.  Delete all files on the HP System. Reset

Finally, printer Install Wizard and voila!  With the printer connected via USB, the rest of the installation of f smooth including wireless setup.  We didn't know re restart and Solution HP now works!

I have the old Flashplayer10X on my system, but I don't care!  I never use IE anyway, so having this obsolete version on my computer shouldn't matter. I'm so happy to have Sokutin Center works again

    Thanks for your help!

  • Can't get my HP Solution Center to work properly.

Load the new L7780 HP Officejet Pro all-in-One software properly on my laptop and I scan from the center of HP solutions on laptop very well.

I loaded the same software on my desktop and can print wireless, but when I open the HP Solution Center I get and error "unexpected internal error has occurred."  Have rebooted and installed with no improvement.  My OS is widows Vista.

    The error message says this?

An unexpected internal error has occurred. Click OK to close the program, and then try the following:
    -Restart the program.
-Restart the PC and then try again.
-Reinstall the software photos & images and try again.

  • Problem with the installation of the solution Center for a HP Photosmart Premium all-in-one printer - C309g

    Hi people,

I searched many threads and found some tips to remedy this, tried and had no chance.

I am running Windows 7.  All updates are underway.  When I bought the printer, I installed the software (on Windows 7 OS) from the disc and everything was fine.  Fast forward a year and Solution Center has stopped working.

Uninstalled all HP software to reinstall.  I could only reinstall HP Update.  I was able to load the basic print and scan drivers, but not following any software, including solutions Center.  Installation stops abruptly after "install updates".

I even downloaded and tried "PS_AIO_06_C309g-m_USW_Full_Win_enu_140_175" and got the same result as the original installation disc.

What can I do with my printer (HP Photosmart Premium all-in-One Printer - C309g)?

    Thank you

  • Satellite A210-128: where can I get Win XP SP2 drivers

Is it possible to get somewere drivers Windows XP for my laptop? Or he will continue to live under the table in the box? It's my mistake while I boat, I have however, that all computers run Windows XP. Now I see - this is false.
But, really, I need for my work laptop XP and only.

    What should I do?

    Hello

I wonder why you didn't check specifications for portable computers and the software that comes with the laptop before buy you.
But nevertheless, at the present time, most computers comes with Vista.
All Microsoft is pushing the new product and especially you have no other choice as to buy and new computer with Vista.

The 210-128 Satellite belongs to the PSAELE series.
For now XP drivers are not available for the A210 series. But if you want you may test only drivers of another series of laptop that supports the same devices and chips.
You can also try to download the XP drivers on the website of chip manufacturing.

or you can wait until Toshiba goes out for the A210 XP drivers.

    Hello

Are you referring to reports on the problems and Solutions Center or any third party Solution Center?

If you are referring to reports on the problems and Solutions Center, I suggest that you realize SFC scan and check if it works to solve the problem.

HP Solution Center has stopped working. I am able to print, but the function in an analysis center solution no longer works.

I use Windows 7. I can scan if I plug in the USB cable, but not using a wireless connection. Works only for printing. I used HP Scan and printing doctor, but that has not solved the problem.

I've seen a number of positions with various suggestions (install Macromedia Flash Player, reinstall the driver, etc.) that did not work. I would like to hear how others have solved this problem or, better yet, how HP addressed.

Perform a level 3 uninstall if you have an HP computer or a level 4 uninstall if you have a computer not HP.

    6. once the uninstall is complete, restart the computer
    7. run the download to reinstall the printer: HP Photosmart full feature software and drivers
