Solution no display of the print options Center

I have a photosmart C309a and if she was well for several years. Recently, I've lost the solution Center printing options on my main pc (it's just to show the scan options).

I can print programs or emails using the menu program or the Explorer using the right menu of the mouse, but do not have the options in the center of the solution. I had been using a wireless network for my PC in a network, but because I couldn't solve printing problems I uninstalled and installed the latest version of the software and am now using a USB to my main PC - network computers use the printer on my main PC rather than directly in network. This has not solved the problem.

I tried to run Hp print & scan doctor and utility Diagnostic equipment, who say that the software and drivers are all to date and working correctly.

I don't know if the fact that the print options do not appear in the Solution Center is a problem or just a function of recent software, although I have these options on a PC in network. Comments or help appreciated.

Hi alad26,

I understand that you have updated the Solution Center is not all the features he had done previously for your Photosmart C309A printer. I will do my best to shed some light on that for you.

With updates of our printing software that these options have been deleted because none of the printers HP product have the same characteristics as your Photosmart done, such as printing on CD. So there is nothing wrong with the Solution Center, these functions have just been deleted.

If you are wanting to the solution center with your options of origin, that can be done. You must have your original software CD because it would have the old version of the HP Solution Center on it that has the features that you are now missing.

Hope this helps, have a nice day!

I can not and never been able to open a file that was previously saved on hard disk by selecting the print option to get in the print dialog box. Firefox displays gooblygook, even if the name of file is an html element, the Notepad of Windows crashes, MS Excel does not recognize the file type. MS Word also displays goobblys when the file has no file extension.

If you use the file printing, then you will get a file that is supposed to be sent to a printer, and this file has any sort of code formatting for this printer.

Open such a file in Firefox or a text editor can only work if you use one printer for text to print the file to, then make sure that such a printer is installed and selected.

  • 20.0.1 updated: right click on the page displays all THE menu options, many (all?) don't work, no 'view page source', not 'open in a new tab '.

After 20.0.1 a few hours ago, click Update right displays all THE menu options, do not work a lot (all?), as 'view page source', 'open in a new tab' etc etc.

To clarify, this happens if you have the active Firebug 1.10.6 addon.
You can fix it by updating to the version of Firebug 1.11.2

    Here's how:
Go to your add-ons Manager, right-click on the Firebug add-on and select 'Find updates'.

    Hope that helps.

  • DesignJet 4500: HP DesignJet 4500 driver ver.7.10.0.0 - unreadable symbols in the printer options window

Hello, I have a problem with HP DesignJet 4500.

With the new driver ver.7.10.0.0 (the most recent in the HP support page), when I get to the printer options - all symbols are unreadable (screenshot 1).

Old print server - I found already installed ver.6.17.0.0 driver 32-bit and 64-bit driver ver.7.10.0.0 (screenshot 2). When installing 6.17.0.0 driver for 32-bit PC and open the window-it works very well, all the symbols are in English (screenshot 3).

So, how do I make the symbols in 7.10.0.0 readable? Or, if I can't fix it, where I can download 6.17.0.0 driver (64-bit)?

    Thank you.

P.S. It's unreadable that symbol in the windows printing options, but 7.10.0.0 prints correctly.

    Hello

Remove the driver completely from the computer (devices and printers, properties of the server), download the driver from the HP website and install it.

If you still have the problem, you may need to remove the printer from the registry.

  • "Printer properties cannot be displayed. The print spooler service is not running. "(even when it works)

When I click with the right button on a particular printer and try to view the properties of it, I get the following message:

Printer properties cannot be displayed.  The print spooler service is not running

It is, it is run as go to-> Services administrative tools in the Control Panel checks.

One of the 'printers', I installed is "send to OneNote 2007".  I can click right on this very well - just not this another printer. I'd be able to do if the print spooler is not running?

Indeed, if I turn off the print spooler, * all * printer in "Printers and faxes" disappear.  So the fact that I'm still see them first place suggests to me that the printer spooler is running.

I posted this on Microsoft.public.windowsxp.general a while ago and someone suggested that I visit this site .  Problem is C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\PRINTERS is empty.  It is empty when the print spooler is running and it is empty when it is not.

Also, I was unable to install KB896423 since I am running SP3.  Try to install he did the following:

Setup has detected that the version of Service Pack for this system is newer than the update you are applying.

There is no need to install this update.

The printer is a "local printer attached to this computer" connected via a "Standard TCP/IP Port".  Personally, I think such a printer should be called "a network printer or a printer attached to another computer", but that is the terminology used by the "Add Printer Wizard".

    Hello terrafrost,.

Thank you for visiting the Microsoft answers community.

What is the model number of the printer that you are using?

Printing a "Standard TCP/IP Port, is used for a printer that is directly connected to a network, not on your local system.

I would try to uninstall your printer and reinstall your printer.

  • On Windows 8, by default, OneNote when I try to use the print option. How do I set printer as default and not in OneNote?

When I try to use the print option. How do I set printer as default and not in OneNote? Also, when I want to print from a web page (on the Web page printing option) it goes to OneNote and not print. I have also pulled up a file saved in OneNote and selected the print option in the Menu. I selected a specific page and is nevertheless not print?

Because your message is off-topic in the comment forum, I moved it to the forum Windows 8 "Performance and Maintenance", where it is more on the subject.

As you watch the start page, type "default printer".  A list appears on the right side of the screen.  Tap 'settings' and 'Change the default printer' will appear on the left.  Tap it.  Your devices folder and printers opens on the desktop.  You will see that "Send to OneNote" will have a green check mark next to it.  Right click on the printer, if you have already installed it, then select "Set as default".  Close the folder.  Therefore, when printing, your printer will be the default device.

If you have not yet installed a printer, make sure you download the latest driver for 8 compatible of Windows to the web site of the manufacturer and install the driver following the instructions of the manufacturer.  Then set the default device.

  • The print options window

I have front ("main.vi"), there are graphs, graphical palette, two stamps, two channel control and button 'print '. After the press 'Print' button, there is a new Panel ("Print option.vi"), the user can put a few print option (in block I use the page layout options). Then he presses Print (in 'Print option.vi') and the vi closed and give cluster 'layout options' to main.vi. In main.vi I put false visible controls of the channel, the ' print' button (because I didn't need them in printing). Then print front with 'Easy print VI Panel or Documentation.vi' my page layout options. After that, I put still real visible controls of the channel, the print"" button.
It's my algorithm to print the front side. So, there are a few questions.
First of all, I want to see the Preview Panel before printing in "Print option.vi". There is the http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/print-preview/m-p/1187669#M513620 solution is wrong, I don't want to use another program to print. In LabVIEW 2010, I can see an excerpt from "File-print preview", but I don't find how to use the programmly option. Is this possible?
And second question. I put the landscape layout options orientation, high 5cm margins, and then print it has no effect. It is printed in the portrait and 1 cm margins. Why?

In fact, there are some kind of alternative. The actual façade you are trying to print is actually the preview!

Another option which is actually quite easy to implement is to recover the image of the façade with a VI server method and display them in a picture control in your dialog box. I have not a ready made print with preview practical right now, but attached chiseled dialog should give you an idea of how it could be done.

  • Printer properties cannot be displayed. The print spooler is not running.

I followed the MS KB "file sharing and printers with different versions of Windows" for instructions on connecting my new Win 7 PC to several domestic XP PC in my network. However, once that I had on the right by clicking on the printer for XP to share, popup message "printer properties cannot be displayed. The coil of the printer does not work. This has happened even when clicking on the properties of the printer. I'm stuck now and need guidance on what to do. Thank you!

Here are the steps of general network troubleshooting. Just cannot apply to your situation, so just take the bits that are. It may seem daunting, but if you follow the steps in the links and suggestions below calmly and consistently, you will have no difficulty to implement your sharing.

Problems sharing files between computers on a network are usually caused by 1) a misconfigured firewall or a firewall neglected (including a dynamic firewall in a virtual private network); or (2) inadvertently run two firewalls such as the firewall of Windows and a third-party firewall. and/or (3) do not have accounts to the same users and passwords on all computers in the workgroup. (4) tries to create actions where the operating system does not.

In Windows 7, go to control panel > everything in Control Panel > network and sharing Center. Click on "change the advanced sharing settings. You don't want to use the residential group unless you have all Windows 7 machines. If you do and you want to use the homegroup, see Windows 7 Help & Support. Otherwise, in sharing advanced:

Discovery of plug in the network
Open the files and printers sharing
Turn on the sharing section Public folder sharing
    Plug the password protected sharing

    A. configure the firewall on all machines to allow traffic to local area network (LAN) as being approved. With the Windows Firewall, turning on window file sharing and printer as the above will take care of that for you. If you are not running a third-party firewall or you have an antivirus/security with its own firewall component program, then you're fine.  With a third-party firewall, I usually set up the allocation of LAN with an IP address range. E.g. would be 192.168.1.0 - 192.168.1.254. Obviously you would substitute your correct subnet. Refer to the safety of any third party program or the user forums for how to correctly configure its firewall. Do not run more than one firewall. DON'T STOP FIREWALLS; CONFIGURE THEM CORRECTLY.

    (B) to facilitate the Organization, put all computers in the same workgroup. This is done from the System applet in Control Panel, the computer name tab.

    C. create the counterpart of the user accounts and passwords on all machines. You do not need to be logged into the same account on all machines and assigned to each user account passwords can be different; accounts/passwords just need to exist and to match on all machines. DO NOT NEGLECT TO CREATE PASSWORDS, EVEN IF ONLY OF SIMPLE. If you want a machine to boot directly to the desktop (a particular user account) for convenience, you can do this:

Start > Search box > type: netplwiz [Enter]
Click continue (or provide an administrator password) when you are prompted by UAC

Uncheck "users must enter a user name and password to use this computer". Select a user account to connect automatically by clicking on the account you want to highlight and press OK. Enter the password for this user account (when it exists) when you are prompted. Leave blank if there is no password (null).

XP - set up Windows to automatically connect (MVP Ramesh) - http://windowsxp.mvps.org/Autologon.htm

    D. Si one or more of the computers on your network are XP Pro or Media Center, turn off Simple file sharing (Folder Options > view tab).

    E. create share as you wish. In Windows 7 I usually share the Desktop of the user and the Public directory.

    F. you have the job of file sharing (and tested by exchanging a file between machines), if you want to share a printer connected locally to one of your computers, share of this machine. Then go to the printer mftr Web site. and download the latest drivers for the correct system. Install them on the target machines. The printer must be collected during the installation procedure. If this isn't the case, install the drivers and then use the Add Printer Wizard. In some cases, printers must be installed as local printers, but it is outside this response. • HP Designjet 111 with 24 "Roll: Arch D is no longer available in the print options

Normally print us PDF drawing (using Adobe Reader) set to Arch C (18 "x 24"), but sometimes we need D Arch (24 "x 36").

Ark D has somehow been removed from our drop-down list of options. When I try to use customize the size of 24 "x 36", I get a pop up window that indicates that the size is too small or too large. I don't see any other way to add Arch D in the list of options.

I tried the update of drivers, but the message says I have the latest. We have been updating for Windows 10 a few months ago and I don't know that it had no effect on these options.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Solution, it turns out that the printer now ready for print Arch C value by default, and in the settings is a checkbox to rotate 90 degrees.  When this element is on the Ark D option disappears from the list of options.  Note: Also noted that under the 'effects' tab / resizing Options, we set to Arch C, I think that's the main problem of the loss of the ability to print Arch D; Choose 'full size', now able to print once more drawings D arc.

  • Number of the printing Option

Everytime I go to print I save option and not print.  How can I fix it?

No, selecting this option will NOT print, but if this box is checked, you get the 'Save' dialog box and no printing... which is what you say was happening.

As I said, most of the people would NEVER box for "Print to file" checked.

Do not mark any reply as a "response" unless it really solved your problem - it confuses people.

What version of Windows you have, including the service pack (click right my computer and select properties if you are not sure)?
