Some colors change from Photoshop CS6 save for web?

I have a picture with great color surface: #fffdfd, when I save for web (jpg) this color is changed to #fefcfd (in JPG format).

I just can't save as jpg with #fffdfd.

(was trying to uncheck convertir convert to sRGB, don't embed color profile - always #fffdfd becomes #fefcfd when save for web)

However, the #fefcfd color when save for web, does not change.

Why some colors and some not? Is this a bug?

Window7 64 bit, Photoshop CS6

Save for devices & Web will remove some color from the file data.

Browsers are not color management. Most of the formats of file on browsers assume they are sRGB. While Photoshop gives you the possibility of incorporation sRGB color space of a document, it also strips data that are not relevant. It is a common phenomenon.

PNG - 24 on the other hand will give you the exact color matching.

In addition, save for W & D, JPG quality questions a lot - the same color quality 10,20,30,40, 50... 100 wil give you reproductions different colours on the output end JPG.

If you are concerned that much on an offset of +/-1 hexadecimal value of RGB color space, do not save for web & devices. Do a "Save as" instead. Then use an image editing / application like ResizeMe resizing to resize the quality of your document. This, in most cases will retain information colourspace but just drop the resolution and quality of the image, giving you a smaller size.

Hi RaphDuBus and thanks again;  I was able to solve the problem, in my view, completely.  The explanation is long, and I just included it in the thread at http://forums.adobe.com/message/5242626.  Gasoline seems to have been in the actual permissions manually (via Get Info) on the folder (the whole folder) to the user/Library/preferences.  I have no explanation of how they may have changed;  they have been changed in the CS6 download / update processes, perhaps because of a certain inconsistency 10.5, or that they had been changed earlier, and for some reason any did not prevent the save for Web working in CS5.5.  More details are in the thread referenced above.  Thank you!

I would add that the second problem related to the error message that appear on Photoshop (a message about not being able to save the preferences file) to quit smoking was also fixed.  It makes sense, both the Photoshop preferences and levels of preferences Web backup are included in the folder that was apparently the issue.

  • How can I change channel 32 bit & save for Web?

Should I convert the image file original high resolution somehow to be able to save for web?

STIL 16bits alters the quality of the image.

I think I found my answer on the exchange of the battery:

"jpeg is 8-bit/channel, if you do not have the choice if you need jpeg output. By carefully working in Photoshop, you can get the best compromise for a particular use. »

I don't have the choice if I need this type of output file format, what I'm doing.

  • CS6 save for Web image size limit (retina)

I have been designing of many these days, sites especially mobile: iphone Retina (640w).  Most of the time, these designs can be long in the tooth with the height of these documents - more than 8000 pixels sometimes.  I noticed that 8000 pixels is the threshold limit for export "save for web".  Nothing more of 8000 pixels will be downgraded in quality on the features of the retina by reducing the image.  Jpg will be always the right height and width, but seen on an iphone, you can easily see the degradation.   Images and text are blurry.  It is no good trying to show a customer what their site on an iphone will look like.

So my question is, is there a work around?  A preference to be changed?  Am I missing something to get the full quality of my design comp to preserve the quality of retina display?

Conroy, it is incorrect for the cases I have provided.  Save for the web will save dimensions width and height appropriate for retina ios devices.  as paul said, SFW will save up to 30 000 pixels.  the problem was that "progressive" was not checked for extreme cases to appear correctly on the iphone.

both models have been exported using SFW:

    progressive:

    http://www.justinfreiler.com/progressive.jpg

    not progressive:

    http://www.justinfreiler.com/non_progressive.jpg

the two look identical on the desktop.

you will notice the difference when viewing these links on your iphone.

The default file for this command type is GIF. I never use GIF, I always use JPEG. This means that I have to change every time which is a nuisance. Is there a way to change the default value of GIF to jpeg?

Launch of PSE by running 'as administrator' and set your options to SFW.  Then, these options will be kept (and you don't have to run 'as administrator').

  • Why save for Web and devices is grayed out?

I have Photoshop CS5 on Mac OS X Lion mountain. PS works fine, until today. On some images, I work with, file > save for Web and devices is grayed out. In addition, to save money, the options are extremely limited. It is obvious that I inadvertently clicked on something that caused this, but I just can't understand that.

I took a screenshot of Photoshop with a test image (test.psd), whose resolution is 72px, RGB, 32 bit, appearance save for Web and devices greyed out. And a screenshot of the Save as dialog box.

Is the first screenshot to http://eastbrookwind.com/screen-shot.jpg

Is the second screenshot to http://eastbrookwind.com/save_as.jpg

I am confused and appreciate much help!

Right. You work in 32 bits per channel. Change your bit depth.

    Help me please.

    Hello

    1. were you able to see the front dialog box?

    2. did you of recent changes to the computer?

This happens because your screen resolution is less than the required minimum of 1024 x 768.

You can try to change the resolution of the monitor and check.

For more information, see the link:

  • Transfer the Software Photoshop CS6 extended for Windows Edition student from a Windows PC to a Mac

I bought Photoshop CS6 extended for Windows Edition for my PC online student year last of Curry of PC World. I was told, at the time of purchase, that I would be able to transfer this software from my PC to a Macbook. I've now bought the Macbook and would like to transfer the software on my old Windows PC on my new Macbook. Please could I have assistance for that purpose. thank you!

You don't mention who told you you can transfer the software, but I suspect it wasn't someone from Adobe.  Versions are platform-specific, so there is little chance of the installation of the version of Windows on a Mac without the use of a Windows emulator any.  Since it is CS6, you have the possibility to request an exchange of platform.  See the following...

You can exchange languages/platforms for a newer version product if you follow the instructions on the following link:

What you do here are called "soft proofing" or simulate what it should look like on other PCs on the Preview on the left.

Internet Standard RGB demonstrated what it should look like any screen of srgb there with no color management.

Document profile simulates a screen of color management. Most PC owners do not know or who care.

  • Printing from Photoshop CS6 on 5520 and B110 - something wrong

There is something wrong with the way that my printer HP - 5520 and B110 - print from Photoshop CS6.

It's like he's still the impression of 'high quality' rather than 'rough', with several passages for each line.  It's the same on the 5520 and B110.

I use the Mavericks with the 4.2.4 drivers.

I know it's HP and Photoshop as if I take the same file and print from Illustrator CS6 it works OK and prints quickly.  Also, if I print the same Photoshop file on my Epson printer, it prints as quickly.

    Help?

    Hello imacken.

I understand your concerns. Since we are a forum based community, we try to answer as soon as possible. I'm sorry that nobody has answered this post.

If I understand you correctly, you declare that whenever you print a file using the program Photoshop CS6, you will notice that it takes a while to print using your HP printers?

In addition, you can change the settings on your computer of the Mavericks. Please follow this document from HP on the Advanced color management. You should be able to change the type of quality by reference to this document.

How these printers are connected? USB or wireless.

Once I have this information, I can help you further.

  • Photoshop CS4 Settings "save for Web".

I have two questions - my logic/explanation can be a little hard to follow, so please check screenshots:

    1. when 'save for web', in the "presets" menu drop-down menu, I created a couple of presets and saved in the default folder name

    [C:\Documents and Settings\Shandy Elliott\Application Data\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS4\Optimized Settings]

and I deleted those I want to use - never.

    1.jpg

I even navigate in Explorer in the above path and make sure that no default presets are located in this folder (with Photoshop not running). Photoshop allows re-charging the defaults when I re - open Photoshop or whenever I have "save for web". Is there another place/file in Explorer, I need to delete the default presets, or is only a function of Photoshop to again fill the predefined default settings (which I think is boring if yes)?

    ___________________________________________________________

    2. When you save a .jpg file, there are two ways (at least in my case)-

    a. FILE/SAVE AS / .jpg (then set jpeg options)

    b. "save for web".

I want to do is be able to use 'save for web', create a specific preset for quality absolute maximum .jpg (JPEG - 100 in the screenshot - that simulate the same result as if I performed step 2 and used "quality 12 for jpeg options" [relatively]) and for Photoshop to DO NOT put dashes between words. I know that I can uncheck the Unix box in 'Compatibility file name' in change output parameters, but which seems to affect all presets and not just a simple "Preset". I guess it's just a global setting not be changed - sometimes I wish software has been a bit more customizable.

    2.jpg

The reason why I want to be able to do that (in addition to the savings in step 2) in some cases, I would benefit from the extra allows parameters 'save for web' [to know be able to save a .jpg .psd in several different size simply by changing these settings].

    3.jpg

I'm doing this instead of initially saving a .psd as an 800 x 800 .jpg, then open this 800 x 800 .jpg, resize like, say, 600 x 600, and then save again - which I am basically destruction subsequent .jpg because I re - compress an already compressed image. Record directly from of a .psd and have the ability to resize just the result, for me, seem to be my best option.

    To conclude:

    1. How can I keep specific 'save for web' presets while eliminating the predefined default settings?

    2. How can I set a specific "save for web" pre-programmed to not put dashes between words while allowing dashes for all the other presets?

    Thoughts?

First rename presets in "C:\Documents and Settings\Shandy Elliott\Application Data\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS4\Optimized Settings" of *.irs to * .ir$ or something like that. " Then same procedure in "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS4\Presets\Optimized Settings"

This will hide the unwanted presets.

You can try to remove too - I quite like rename that in order to remove.

  • Printing from Photoshop CS6

When I print from Photoshop CS6 photos are lightweight and resemble nothing as they should.  If I import the photo in the Pages it prints perfectly.  Why this is happening and how to fix?  I have a MacBook Pro

Let us look at the dialog box print in Photoshop. It may be defined differently from the Pages, so check the quality printing and color management.

I check my paper for the paper type settings, I use and opt for better quality. Anything less gives you a faded image.

Then in the color management, I put it to "Printer manages colors." I had better results, let the printer manage, and that's normally what your other applications use.
