Some files in my USB SanDisk 16 GB USB key are not detected and when I connect to another PC, all files are detected

Original title: some files in my USB are not detected and the rest of the files show find when I connect to my pc, when I connect to another pc the files seems to find.

Hello world

I have a SanDisk USB 16 G with important files, when I connect to my pc windows 7, some files are discovered, I am able to read other files show as empty files and my pc don't its not able to open them.

When I connect the same USB for my lap top with windows 8 all the files where to find and I can open with a problem.

Can some body please help me solve this problem?

Hi Martin,

This problem can be caused if the program for the particular file could not be installed on your computer.

1. What is the file format or the extension of the files that you do not read or recognize in Windows 7?

2. what exactly happens when you try to open empty files?

3. have you made any recent hardware or exchange of software on your computer before the show?

You need to check the files that are not open in Windows 7 and trying to install the software for files that are not opening and control.

Let us know the status of the issue. If you need help, please after return. We will be happy to help you.

I have referred to as the previous posts for this problem and remove the VID_0781 by REG_EDIT, also try to uninstall the device from the hardware in the computer and re - install the device. I also did the replacement of usbstor.inf in c:\windows\inf to another subfolder.

    from c:\windows\.

The result is intermittent it's Ok this time and not okay at other times. It's really wasting a lot of time to try this or that, and the result is intermittent.

Can anyone or Sandisk people leave a good and permanent solution to this problem?

    Hi all:

I want to update this solution for this problem of Sandisk support.

This solution may be different from one case to another, but if you have installed Samsung KIES in PC, then most likely it is the solution.

If you kill the KiesTrayAgent.exe, the Sandisk can be detected smoothly whenever you plug it into my laptop.

    Hello

I just got my new HP desktop HP PAVILION CORE I5 motherboard MS 7613 and im trying to install windows 7 without success, because in the BIOS the usb memory key does not START options. Don't see these settings in the bios to boot:

Floppy boot priority group - not installed

    Group - HP DVD-RAM GH60L CD-Rom boot priority

Group ST3100052AS HARD drive boot priority

Network boot priority group - not installed

More than that, I tried testing with two different usb sticks in different USB ports and the system could not start when trying to install windows 7. The two sticks were properly formatted and I have done some testing old NetBook of the mine and windows 7 have been successfully installed from two flash drives.

One of my usb stick http://www.amazon.co.uk/PNY-Transformer-Attache-Flash-Drive/dp/B009J0HM94

Second removable disk is named pro usb drive

Also two usb keys are seen in the bios on the USB PORTS SETTINGS

Any direction to help me to windows on my machine is very appreciated.

    Thank you, Bobby

Check in the BIOS for Secure Boot settting_it must be disabled before the CMU machine can boot from any source in addition to the hard drive. Also activate the Boot legacy. Save & Exit.

When starting with the USB key, press ESC immediately after turning on. This should bring up the boot F9 option where you use the arrow key to move to the low to highlight/select USB Flash. Press on enter.

    Hi all

I bought this dell laptop inspiron 1525 in the year 2008 with mentioned configuration:

    Core 2 duo processor

    1 GB OF RAM

Due to some problems in my windows vista, I decided to install a new windows vista in my laptop. I run the dell support live cd at the start of my laptop and created the partitions on my system. But while the new installation OS on the cd i found that optical drive of my system does not work very well. so, I decided to install the new OS of USB. I went to the BIOS and selected the USB key in the boot sequence. but when I tried to install the new OS while pressing the F12 key, USB key is not listed in the start option.

could someone help me to install the new OS in my machine? It is very urgent that my machine is down for 1 week.

Please try attached BIOS changes screenshot than everything be useful to me.

    Thank you

    Gurpreet

    Hi Gurpreet,

    Thank you for your response.

My apologies if I seem repetitive, but when you go to the Option of boot sequence in the system configuration screen, do you think that the USB storage device listed? And do you see a number in front of it?

Go to the option for embedded devices and check if the USB ports are enabled or disabled. If disabled, change the option and enable the USB Ports.

If this step does not help, go to the Maintenance option in the system configuration screen and press enter on 'Load Defaults'. On the side right, highlight 'Continue' in green, press Enter and then save & exit.

Please keep us informed of the results.

  • Your bootable USB key could not be created

"Your bootable USB key could not be created.

    Hey guys,.

I Googled what to do about this error message and all I got was to ensure that the ISO is disassembled. I did, and yet I still get the same exact error message. I'm trying to get Windows 7 Home Premium on a 2012-13 inch Mac Book Pro. I also use a flashdrive 16 GB for the ISO image. Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

  • "Your bootable USB key could not be created there is not enough space available on the disk.

I am trying to install a partition of Windows 7 with an ISO on a flash drive with Boot Camp Assistant. Everytime I try it however, I get the error "your bootable USB key could not be created there is not enough space available on the disk. The flash drive that I use for this is 64 GB, so I doubt that the issue has to do with not enough available space. I have already tried the obvious, like reformat the flash drive and retry the write. Is there something I could hurt or do differently to make it work?

  • USB keys do not work in my VISTA PC, but working in the XP computer.

My PC is only a few months and underwarranty. VISTA is OEM original and authentic. All updates and installed SP2.

But I have several problems with VISTA.

One of them is the following:-

USB keys do not work in this PC. Initially, they are recognized, but as soon as I start the data transfer it stops and does not recognize the keys more. Same USB keys work correctly on other XP computers.

An external hard drive works perfectly on the same USB port. If the port is fine.

    Hello PG_eu,

First of all if still under warranty, contact the manufacturer to execute tests for your USB slots. Have you tried to see if other devices work on the USB plug? The manufacturer of your may be able to replace your computer if needed.

Then, I'd go for the Device Manager to see if you have errors. Go to Device Manager and see if you have a yellow fringe! showing that there are errors with your USB devices. Open the Device Manager in Windows Vista via the management utility of the computer, the Control Panel, or from the command prompt by typing in devmgmt.msc.

You can go to the different tabs and see if the devices work properly, should be cancelled or update your drivers.
You can also go into the event viewer and see if you have errors on your hardware devices.

    I hope this helps.

  • USB ports do not detection devices

    Hello

My USB ports are sensors not when I their connection. I hear the noise, which indicates a device has been connected, but when my laptop is trying to install the driver, it gives me an error Code 39.

I see an icon in Device Manager yellow triangle-shaped when a device has been plugged in. I tried to uninstall and reinstall my driver and running fixit (said mass storage device USB has a driver problem and can't fix), but no luck.

I'm running Windows 7 Home Basic Edition and tried to insert a USB Hard Seagate Drive, Kingston and a Sandisk USB key (they all work fine on other computers).

    Help, please!

    Hello Marilou,

    Thank you for your response.

What is the brand and model of your laptop?

I appreciate your efforts to resolve the issue.

I also appreciate the fact that you ran Microsoft fixit.

However, due to USB devices, I suggest you to try the following methods and check if it helps.

    Method 1:
Uninstall and reinstall the USB controllers and check. Please follow these steps:

    a. press Windows + R keys, type devmgmt.msc in the run window and press ENTER.
    (b) in Device Manager, expand 'USB Bus controllers'.
    c. a device under "In Bus USB controllers" right click and click on Uninstall.
    d. perform the same step for other devices. Once completed, restart the computer.

All USB controllers will reinstall automatically.

If this does not help, use method 2.

    Method 2:
Turn off the "selective suspend" feature of the USB hub driver and check the issue. Please follow these steps:

    a. press Windows + R keys, type regedit into the run window and press ENTER.
    b. look for, and then click the following key in the registry:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\USB

    (c) in the "Edit" menu, point to 'New' and then click 'DWORD'.
    d. Type "DisableSelectiveSuspend" and press ENTER.
    e. in the "Edit" menu, click on 'change'.
    f. type '1', and then click ok.

Note: This setting affects all USB host controller drivers in the system.

For Windows update number, I suggest you try using the steps described in this article and check.
    Reference:
Error 0 x 80070005 in Windows Update when you try to install updates
    http://Support2.Microsoft.com/kb/968003

    Important notes:
Serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click on the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/back-up-registry

The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

    I hope this information helps.

    Thank you

  • Usb keys do not work on HP CM1415FNW

I have a printer HP CM1415FNW. I need to scan and transfer of files on my usb key. In fact, the printer may read less than 8GB, over her keys cannot read.

    Is there a solution?

According to this Manual on the walk up to the USB function, the printer does not support USB flash drives, over 2 GB, so it's likely that the 8 GB working.  You could try to do an update of the firmware and see if that gets a job 16 GB, but more probably it won't help.  If you need help with the update of the firmware, I would like to know what operating system using the your and I'll connect you to the latest version.

  • USB key do not properly install

A few weeks ago from the beginning no matter what usb (external hard drive or Flash) drive I connected to my laptop AFTER starting the laptop computer was up to show up in my computer.  They appear in management of the disks, but without file system.  Readers are very good.  All other computers that I plug them recognizes them accordingly.  If I shutdown my laptop, connect readers and then start the laptop they mount very well and are properly recognized as NTFS file systems.  But if I unplug them when the computer is turned on, and then try to connect their return she says they need to format (even once, the file system under disk management will show them in RAW format).

I searched the internet intensively to find a solution to this problem without success... Only solution at this point restart the computer every time... Quite tired of having to reboot every time I need to reconnect an external.

Oh boy, I thought someone was going to solve this :))

Happened to me a few months after the resizing partitions and I had to use 3rd party applications to solve this problem.

  • Cannot delete files and music always there but not display upward when I connect to the computer?

    Hi all

Recently, I had a lot of problems with the music does not or don't play not I decided to delete all my e260 music and start again.  That's where the real problem started.

For some reason I can't delete three of the albums on my player.  Each of the albums have what appear to be corrupted in them files. My computer does not recognize the file type and file extension is given so I don't know what they are.  Each file "appears" to 4 GB in size but that may not be appropriate for my e260 is obviously only 4 GB in size!

Whenever I try to delete them I get an error message reading "cannot delete file: cannot read the source file or disc»

I tried to update the firmware, reset e260 to factory default settings and made 'restore' thingy (where you hold registration and plug it into the computer, etc.) and these files are still there.

After reading this thing of disk checking on this forum, I did this.  I was then able to remove two of the albums, but when I tried to delete the third album renamed 'a' and the damaged file shows 0 bytes in size, but I still can not remove.  However, I can move it to the folder music to any other folder.  I just can not remove!  When I do, I get an error message saying "cannot delete f: cannot find the file specified. '.  Be sure to only specify the path and the correct name.

After all that I started my e260, and now I find that 2 other albums are always on it, even if they do not display any where when I connect it to the computer.  I can see and read these albums on the drive, and they seem well, they do not appear to be there when I plug it into the computer and look for them in windows Explorer.  The music folder is not hidden also.  These two albums are not part 3 albums that I could not remove, they are actually part of the new substance started sort of all these problems with the music does not and is not only now that they are the display upwards and play but are not appear when connected to the computer!

I know it's probably not a lot of information but can someone tell me how to fix this?  If not, can I just format the * bleep * thing or I'll then have an e260 dead?

    See you soon,.

    PKFFW

PS: Sorry for the long windedness of this post.

Format will not remove the firmware, which is the operating system of the Sansa. It removes only the content that you have added. It will go back to what it was when it was new out of the box.

MTP does not matter if you have never used it. The ghost album can be just a list remains in your database file. Nevertheless, we must get rid of this corrupt file, so Format is probably your best option.

For what it's worth, to connect with the PSG, your computer needs Windows Media Player 10 or 11 is installed. XP comes with WMP 9, so he will not see the Sansa in MTP mode. unless you have updated.
