Some Fn keys not working only not on the Satellite R10-101

After running XPmedic to speed up my computer the Fn F2, F3, F4, F6 & F7 keys do not work. In particular, I would like to be able to Hibernate with Fn F4. The keys were functioning normally. In particular what parts of the software Toshiba do you think I need to reinstall?

I recommend reinstall first the common Module, change of display device utility and the Hotkey utilities for display devices.

See you soon

  • Satellite R10-101: touch screen does not work in tablet mode

    Hello

    I just bought a Satellite R10-101 laptop / tablet.

The machine didn't come with a stylus, so I'm not sure if the touchscreen works or not.

When the machine is in tablet mode touch screen is unresponsive to a contact with a finger. I tried a pointing device of a Windows CE handheld that has a touch screen, but it does not work on the touch screen of the R10.

The touchscreen should be enabled or that I have to get a Toshiba stylus?

The computer is running Windows XP Tablet Edition. Will I get the same functionally if I update to Windows 7. Material of the R10 is compatible with Win 7?

Thank you for any help or advice.

    Hello

The display panel works as a touch sensitive digitizer screen.
You need the stylus to use the touch screen in tablet mode.

I think you can order the stylus lack of authorized partner Toshiba in your country or google for part numbers: P000407550 or P000445420

  • Multimedia keys not working only not on the Satellite A200 - 14 d

    Hello!

I have problem with my multimedia keys. They don't work after installing WXP and all drivers. Only key work is WWW browser. I wanted to put DVD/CD key to start winamp, but it is impossible. I can put this control controls and panel\Toshiba, but it still doesn't work. Also in the case of default CD/DVD settings key does nothing.

I tried also to play, stop, next and prev keys in winamp hotkeys (options\preferences\global hotkeys winamp), but I can put only 1 key. When I am pressing the play button in the shortcut field keyboard winamp, it says "0 x 1770001", but after I save it turns into '0 x 1000000 '. Also when I am pressing the Stop button, it says 'E', and after save it also evolves into '0 x 1000000 '. And analog: prev button - '0 x 1740001', by pressing the next key - ""(only space), but after save this settings it also evolves into '0 x 1000000'. "."

So only the first shortcut key works - for all the multimedia keys. Can you give me some tips to solve this problem?
    PS. [Sorry for my English:]

    Hello

All the multimedia keys are designed to work with Microsoft Media Player and not for use with other media players. Install a few plugins for Winamp. Please see this section on Winamp on Toshiba laptops.

    Good bye

  • I installed Windows 7 64 bit and then some programs will not install the 64 - bit while telling me that I have a 32 bit OS. How can I make sure I have load a 64-bit version only when there is a choice?

I have create a new PC and installed Windows & Pro 64-bit. While some offer programs install both 32-bit and 64-bit as a single installation and the installation of the program checks it should install. A few programs installed 32-bit when I said to use the 64-bit. I received a message that I had a 32 bit OS and that it could not install the 64-bit version. How can I ensure that the 64-bit version is always installed when it is available. I have a program that I need it's 32-bit however.

I also installed Office 2010 and want to know how to check if it installed 32-bit or 64-bit.
All this is because I'm about to build a new PC for my wife and want to avoid these problems right at the front with it.
    Thank you
    Doug

If you buy a commercial version of win7 you are provided with the installation dvd of bit versions and a unique activation key. You cannot install both versions.

Most of the programs will install without problem in a 64-bit version of victory, there is very little that will not be installed on Windows 64-bit.

You install programs as usual, you don't need to change any settings or install to anywhere other than their default locations. -C' IE you do not manually select the x 86 folder or any other folder.

If the program you are installing has the ability to install a specific version of bit, and it does not work, then the problem is that options program installers, you must contact the program support

A retail version of Office 2010 also comes with two versions of ILO.

Having a 64-bit version of victory does NOT mean that you need to install 64-bit Office, in fact MS recommends that stick you with 32-bit Office (reason being compatibility with various plug0ins Office)

And of course the 32-bit version of win only supports 4 GB of memory

  • FN + F8 doesn't work is not for the Satellite L650

I just reinstall the system to windows 7 ultimate 64 bit and already install the wlan driver and package.

"In the Device Manager,"broadcom network adapter wlan"card works very well, but he can't find any available wireless network since ' fn + f8" is missing or does not.

Someone at - not how to solve this problem?

    Hello

    Other FN keys work correctly?
As far as I know that you will install VAP and Support of Flash Card Utility to get the FN keys to work!
    Please check this!

In addition, the WLan driver must be installed in order to get the FN + F8 key combination.
    Usually, that's all you need

  • values of the Spooky object! Help me im lost and stupid and then some... (not for the faint of heart)

    LS,

This includes the code and some traces of output.

I tried this for 2 days and it me stupifies.

    I'll elaborate:

There is a game object, is an object of dictionary containing a screen/name of the index tile_x_y tile

So I can look it up using x and y coords.

Contains the object lost things, but in this particular case: x, y, width, height, xtile, ytile (explicit I guess) & xmove(1), ymove (-1.0.1 according to the)

    direction.)

So, now that these objects move around the screen (Yes it's just a game) and check if they hit the limits of the screen and if they try to pass on the tiles that are busy/no

    traversable.

It goes very well for most but sometimes objects, or for some objects (no idea why and it changes when you restart), halfway to check limits, internal object x and y

values go ballistic and I find myself with a reference to the Dictionary object error because tile 30 280 just does not exist.

What happens is the following (in pseudocode, the actual code is shown below):

    For each object

    Testbounds (Object)

    end for

    Testbounds

    If diry = - 1 (high)

    If (checkbounds (up) == possible)

    change ob.x and ob.y //move coord

    on the other

    If (not possible at all)

move to the edge of where it can go on the same tiles

    change ob.x, ob.y coord

    on the other

move a bit in the other possible meanings

    change ob.x, ob.y

    end if

    end if

    end if

    ...

    ... make for y dir = 1, x = 1, x =-1

    ..

convert new ob.x and ob.y to put the coords / / = divide x and y values by tilesize

.. Search tile_x_y and see what it is

BOOOM!     This is where the error occurs because half the x checkbounds and there, or value gets to large, by a factor of 10 if I read the traced output

    But why?

theres no manipulation on the object in the testbounds function which could cause what I can say.

But it's far enough because it happens

Note: if I change the height value object and the width to a value less as divide by 4, that doesn't happen? then only the graphics overlap the not traversable

graphic on-screen mc because effective width and height are 4 times bigger. Sorta, it spoils everything.

So here is the plotted output (that's a lot, but I was sick of not finding the bug)

I first cut out the part where he's going, enter the code that his execution at this time

Below I have will all stick out of traces and more still of the surrounding code.

In addition, given that you've read this far, thank you very much, you have my respect and grattitude.

    I solved it...

    A little

It seems that something is wrong in the calculation... sometimes.

Calculation, I discovered that the real end result is exactly the same as the previous x & values y

If the whole line can be deleted. Solve the problem and save time cpu.

Question remains how this error is possible.

    I'll repost ultra format short.

    Kind regards

  • WiFi doesn't work is not for the Satellite A215-S7437

I just reinstalled windows 7 thin on my Toshiba Satellite A215-S7437 computer laptop PSAFGU - 00L 002 and the wifi does not work.

I tried a bunch of drivers on your website and they either do not work or are not compatible.

I even tried engineering driver to install a driver flash as you guys suggested someone else on these forums and.

Please help as I am in desperate need of wifi on my laptop.

    Hello

According to the data sheet for laptop, the Satellite A215-S7437 supports Realtek 802. 11b / g wireless LAN

Please visit this page to get the WLan drivers:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

You will find different Realtek Wlan drivers.
I have not quite what Realtek chip you have exactly, but this isn't a big problem to discover this m.

Check in the Device Manager: it is useful HowTO

  • Peripheral Bluetooth appears only not on the Satellite P300-11W

    Hello

I just bought the Satellite P300-11W (Win Vista Prem) and tried for a weekend to set up the bluetooth device.

I installed the BT-monitor for several times.
I can't find my internal bluetooth device in Device Manager. Therefore, I can't use bluetooth.
Who else has this problem? What can I do?

    Thank you.

    Hello

In my opinion, your laptop supports BT
Check the labels at the bottom of the unit.
If your laptop model supports the internal BT module while there should be a label of BT.

If you want to use the BT, he should be allowed first.
    Have you enabled the BT?

Please check if the Fn + F8 key combination allows the BT and if a BT icon appears in the taskbar.

  • Interactive InDesign Fade in/out buttons work only once in the SWF file

I have an animation sequence with a release button with fade effect to scroll on a chart image overlays. I used a trick of forum of ceating a rectangle empty, the box and the picture, stating the Group fade, and then I assign to the out button. This all works fine except when you click on the sequence of keys and the content that the Fade In button work even more, you can call the fade out as many times as you want. Definition of the animation loop or play more than once does not work. I thought it was a question of order or a layer group or maybe I need some kind of Reset button? Ideas for a software fix or work around?

The only problem is that we are talking about CS6. There is no 'Animation' and ' Options: Reverse ' buttons in CS6.

  • CPU works only 30-40% on Satellite A200

On my Toshiba Satellite A200-10w psaece I was running like a lot of antivirus programs, music player, web browser, photo programs as well as the transformer works only 30-40%.

Someone knows why? It's a solution?

I have all the updated drivers, include the bios.

    Thank you

Are you sure you knew what you're talking about?
I think you don t know how a CPU Intel Core 2 Duo T7200(2.0GHz) work.

The fact is that this processor supports Enhanced Intel SpeedStep technology and this is the main reason why you CPU doesn t ALWAYS better performance running.

Maybe you should check the Intel page for more details and for more information on Enhanced Intel SpeedStep Technology, if this feature is not known to you!

  • Gamepad - resource conflict do not accept the satellite A110

Satellite A110 do not ACCEPT the JOY STICK. CONFLICT OF RESOURCE WITH THE MOTHER. BOARD OF DIRECTORS

    Hello

I guess there is a resource conflict because the game port is not available on the device.
So the joystick device tries to use the resources that are used or reserved for any other device.

I wanted to use a joystick on my no Toshiba laptop, but it has not been possible.
It was the same question as on your device. But I was able to use it on the desktop.
I think that support doesn t use laptop a lot because of miniaturization and mobility Office PC port.
