  using bridge CC (10 x 64 Windows), some of my files mp4 doen't show thumbnails (half)... while other mp4.files.

  All mp4 files are correctly opened by default video application (VLC) on double click. (Even if I can't put the default application for mp4 in the preferences).

  I have purged the cache all files with no result.

  Any ideas?

  There is nothing to do with the size of the file:

  19 MB - thumb

  41 MB - no thumb

  123 MB - thumb

  Installation of Quicktime solved the problem.

  Now all thumgnails all video files are displayed correctly in Bridge.

  I'm trying to convert to Lightroom for my photos on my Mac and when I downloaded the example for tutorials .dng files, I noticed that they do not appear in my files to the Mac Finder thumbnails. Clearly it is somewhat a disadvantage when there are file photos.

  .Dng files I downloaded all appear identical graphic icons that resemble an opening of the camera.

  Is it possible to get these files will appear as thumbnails on my Mac please?

  AHA, this is what is happening. I downloaded the practice files. They are the new format dng compressed and scaled-down (like smart Lightroom previews) that Adobe just introduced with LR 5. Raw Apple libraries like also all non-Adobe software can not read those, unfortunately, so you will not be able to preview.

  I wanted to come back here and to answer my own question, as I found the solution in a very short time. I went on Canon's site and downloaded a codec RAW update.  After installation, I was able to view CR2 (RAW) files on the newer computer.  I found the update through various research, after that I reduced the problem of the relationship between Canon's Digital Photo Professional and Windows Photo Gallery.  Maybe when I was using the Acer laptop, I had already downloaded the drivers updated to the DPP and he did not know or just do not do.  I do not know.  The thing is, while searching for an answer to this question, I found others have had the same problem and need a solution.  The short answer: you need to update the codec for Canon Digital Photo Professional RAW.  Here is a link to the download.

  The Organizer is only show a grey white square as the thumbnail and not the actual photo.  However, once I click on the thumbnail, the picture appears and is veiwable.  It is a problem that has recently started.  All my other photos, in other albums, are viewable as thumbnails in the Organizer.

  I use Bridge CS6 in a Win 7 64 bit environment. A few image subfolders contain sparse image files that don't generate thumbnails. They were captured in the same way as other image files in the sequence. Sometimes, if I have one of these files open in Photoshop (CS6) and problem make a montage, then re - save the file, the thumbnail appears, but appears not to be the case every time. How can I rectify this? Thank you very much in advance for any ideas. (I tried keywording this question to see if it had been requested, but no luck.)

  Have you tried selecting the thumbnail, then do a right click and "Purge the cache for the selection", which will require a new thumbnail create

• Display names of files UNDER each photo thumbnail

  Anyone know how to display the name of the file BELOW each thumbnail in the organizer of 12 items, and NOT just on the right side of the screen? I see the date and the coast under each thumbnail, but not the file name.

  Click on the menu display (see image below) and make sure that the file names is enabled.

  You may need to move the zoom slider slightly to the right to increase the size of the thumbnails if you can not immeduately see all of the information displayed.
