  Thanks for posting in the Microsoft Communities. The problem description, I understand that you are not able to access the Internet. Provide the following information:

  ·         Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

  ·         You get the error message?

  ·         You use a third-party security software?

  ·         The issue is limited to particular Web site?

  Follow these methods.

  Method 1: Temporarily disable the security software.

  Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

  Method 2: Follow these steps:

  Step 1: Start the computer in safe mode with network and check if the problem persists.

  Step 2: If the problem does not persist in safe mode with networking, perform a clean bootto see if there is a software conflict as the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

  Note: After completing the steps in the clean boot troubleshooting, follow the section How to configure Windows to use a Normal startup state from the link to start the computer to a Normal startupmode.

  After the clean boot used to resolve the problem, you can follow these steps to configure Windows XP to start normally.

  (a) click Start, run.

  (b) type msconfigand click OK.

  (c) the System Configuration Utility dialog box appears.

  (d) click the general tab, click Normal startup - load all services and device drivers and then click OK.

  (e) when you are prompted, click restart to restart the computer.

  Try the following steps:

  1. Drag from the right edge of the screen, tap search.
  
  
  2. If you are using a mouse, point to the lower-right corner of the screen, click on search.
  
  
  3. Press or click settings, type Windows Update in the search box, and then press or click on install optional updates.
  
  
  4. Follow the prompts to install all recommended, and optional updates.
  
  
  5. Try Netflix.
  
  
  6. You may need a video driver that is compatible with Windows 8.

  Method 1.
  a. navigate to the file HOSTS in [C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc] rename the HOSTS for HOSTS.old file and restart the computer.
  (b) if that does not solve the problem of amazon.com, restore the HOSTS name (without the extension).
   
   
  Method 2.
  Try to clear the DNS Cache.
  a. Click Start and type cmd into the search bar and press ENTER.
  b. in the command prompt type
  ipconfig/flushdns
  and press ENTER.
  c. close the command prompt, and then delete all the temporary files and check out them.
  i. click on start and type folder in the search bar and then press ENTER.
  II. delete all files in the folder and restart the computer and check.

  It seems that some of your plugins (Shockwave Flash 10.1 r102) might be buggy or obsolete. To check for updates, please visit the plugincheck page. If this does not resolve the problem, try to start Firefox with the disabled modules and see if it helps at all. If so, delete the Shockwave Flash plugin and maybe reinstall or uninstall Firefox and do a new clean install.

  Install the latest video card drivers. You can log on to the computer for the same manufacturer site. Also, check the latest Windows updates. Check if all related drivers are available in the optional updates.

  Note that some video card drivers do not allow allows you to change the settings.

  Given that you have included YouTube in the allow list and now you want to block, you must first remove the list of allowed sites and then include it in the blocked Web sites. Here is the procedure to help you:

  1. connect to https://fss.live.com using your Parent account.
  2. click on change settings under the user name of your child.
  3. Select filtering Web lists on the Panel of the menu on the left.
  4. search for *.youtube.com/*, click on the checkbox next to it.
  5. click on Save.
  6. Enter YouTube.com on the ' http:// ' and then click on the block.
  7. click on Save.
