  • Looking for some useful tips for a website idea, I have

    Hello

Since last year, my company has a contract for a manufacturer of equipment tech maintain a benchmarking project of price, features user, specifications, etc. of their products against their competitors. It is quite a thorough comparison and contains more than 100 products. It is up to date with new versions of the product and will continue to keep informed on new products. In any case, the contract is almost up, and I think that the project could be more lucrative if I created a Web site with all the information I gathered last year. My problem is that I have never created a site for profit. I created a personal website and my business site by using a combination of CS5 DW, FW and Flash. I know some html, php, mySQL and flash and am quite comfortable with the CS5 software in general.

As I mentioned, I am new to try to make money on a Web site, but here are two possible ways, I have however to do so:

    1. just throw all the information on the websites, and provide access to all users for free and hope to gain advertising revenue of the manufacturers who offer their products on my site.

    or

2 offer a sample of the basic information on all products, but require a subscription for full access (maybe $199 / year).

My target market will be composed of the manufacturers themselves, professional computing and dealers of these products.

IM also wondering if I should do based on Flash and very attractive or simply in html.

I guess I'm looking for advice on which path to choose and advice to do this effort with success.

    Thanks in advance!

    -Dave

I'll make sure to read the contract and every partner of the fine print really, really carefully before doing so. But back to your question - it is more a question of marketing, and I would say hiring a good marketer (or become one) to make the most of this opportunity.

And how to find a good marketing agent?

I would suggest using Seth Godin (http://sethgodin.typepad.com/) as your guide/model. If the person you want to hire knows and follows the good advice of marketing of Seth, you would probably do very well. If they do not know who Seth Godin is and are obsessed with the rankings SEO and explosions by email, I'd be very worried (this is not to say email and SEO rankings explosions are 'bad', but should not be the only options in your marketing approach).

    Good luck!

  • using glow in Photoshop touch for android?

Hello, I am very new Ps touch. Can someone explain how to use the preheat feature? Whenever I do, I get the message "this filter needs transparent pixels. Don't know what to do, please help.

    Hello

the best way to understand what a transparent pixel is maybe to use the tool to clear and remove a few pixels.

You get even if you create a document painting vacuum something in this regard.

You can then apply the glow effect, you probably encounter this problem if you began by importing an image as it fills the canvas complete with pixels.

    Thank you

  • Why Photoshop Touch for Android permission want to disable my keylock?

Yesterday, I was warned by my Android tablet that there is a manual update available for Photoshop Touch. I usually install these updates immediately, but this one gave me a break. Among the new permissions the app asked was this:

    TURN OFF THE KEY LOCK

Allows the application to disable the locking of the keyboard and any associated password security. A legitimate example is the phone to turn off the keypad lock when you receive a phone call coming, then activating the keypad lock when the call is completed.

It makes me nervous to say the least. Under normal circumstances, I would never setup an app that asked this authorization. However, since it is an application, I used for a while of a large company like Adobe, I am prepared to consider. But I'd like an explanation - why authorization is required?

DISABLE the locking of the KEYBOARD was introduced for a feature that doesn't version PS Touch 1.3.

Permission is not currently used by PS Touch.

  • Architecture lighting plugin for photoshop?

I've been shooting a lot of interiors latley and I saw a cool site and I was wondering what effects they used to complete the look. The site is www.atticfire.com

Does anyone have a good suggestion for a grip of lighting in tip for photoshop for less than $1000?

josh phoenix - some things to say about these images 'outside of houses '.

Its possible that a tripod was used, and they were shot two times of the day, one with the lights on, one with them offshore. I say this because the "images" before have details in the shadows of negligible. It would take real talent and ability to illustrate light sources properly - and there is no evidence of this ability in the images that result, which are quite easy. The 'after' the sources of light, doors, windows are casting shadows very naturalistic. The images after have also been (pretty bad in my opinion) retouched, giving them a false appearance. Software 3D may have been used to map the image, tap light project, plans but it is a complex process, and I think its more likely that they are cheaters.

Of course theres no simple 2D plug-ins that can do. 3D software can however

  • Need a virtual keyboard for Photoshop keyboard shortcuts use multi-touch Monitor

    Hello

I have three monitors. two are vertical and sits on the desk tilted up slightly. The desktop monitor is 10-touch.
I use it for music and for Corel Painter but especially useless creation for the Photoshop job.

So my question is: I want to make use of the multi touch screen when working on images.
What is the best keyboard or the virtual Manager shortcut key that can help my workflow with Photoshop and LightRoom.

The top on the Surface Pro 3 pen button is blue tooth her can be used via eventghost and ben is also blue tooth so it must be associated with you machine support Bluetooth as a stylus device.  So there must be a support of the device installed in windows.  I don't know if Windows Plug-and-play or blue tooth compatible would install support on a surface not machine for the high need for relative position information display that is calibrated with a windows tablet pen holder.

  • Can we use flex extension designed for Photoshop CS5 to Photoshop Touch as well?

    Hello..!!

I learned about the Photoshop Touch application and when I started to search on its SDK, I found that it uses the same SDK under Photoshop CS5. -What is my correct information? Also, if this is the case, then if I want to design an extension flex to Photoshop Touch, then the extension for Photoshop CS5 will be enough? Or, I have to design a separate from CS5? Please guide me...

    Thank you!

No, Touch doesn't have any support for plugins.

Touch is not related to the Photoshop code base.

Touch is something written to the limited environment available on shelves.

  • Some performance useful tips in Java using the blackberry for the graphics classes.

    BB Storm JDE 4.7.0

I did a lot of recent graphics involving polygons, transformations on the peaks and summits. I found a lot of useful tips that may be of interest to you.

    1. for storage of the summits, I used a vector I could use addElement to add points in real time. However, later, I went to aVector and byteVector to manage the peaks and the offsets of the RIM.

    2. I used drawFilledPath, etc. in the RIM Graphics class to draw and fill polygons.

    3. originally I used ints as vertices but I found that when I turned a polygon around 360 degrees in increments of 10 degrees and the time wherever it has been done, error totalled so that the polygon shape had changed quite substantially. I started using the Fixed32 and VecMath classes. VecMath classes you create affine transformation matrices and operations using homogeneous coords. It also uses the Fixed32. Thus, using VecMath, Fixed32 and aVector greatly improved accuracy, efficiency and cleanliness of my design.

Fixed32 also had math at comma fixed trig functions of rotation too.

I hope it's useful to someone.

  • Photoshop Touch universal application for the Continuum for phones on Windows 10

A few days ago I bought a new 950 Lumia from Microsoft with Windows Mobile 10 which have the peculiarity of 'Continuum for phones' very useful which allow you to use Universal Windows App on a big screen and see them with the same interface they have when they are running on the desktop environment, but the app is still running on your phone.

With Microsoft display Dock (or others of another manufactuer), you can even plug in you USB mass storage devices.

For my work I only need Word, a file browser, a Web browser and an app with levels just like Photoshop Touch of Sophie photo editing.

I already have all the universal App I need, but I'm still missing something like Photoshop Touch and it is not PhotoshopTouch as a universal application on Windows Store (at least with levels).

If Adobe decides to make Photoshop Touch (or something similar) as a universal Windows application, I use only my phone to do anything and it connects on a large screen, mouse and keyboard when I arrive in my office, without need to bring the laptop with me and with the utility to continue my work on the road on my phone because everything is already there with the Continuum without need for multiple devices and a cloud platform to synchronize files on multiple devices.

Y at - there someone here who want a Photoshop Touch Universal App for Windows 10 just like me?

Well, I'd like to get a Surface Pro 4, then I could use Photoshop CC with it.

Photoshop Touch itself was abandoned, but there are already some applications that allow to fill some of the gaps he left behind (like Photoshop Fix and Photoshop Mix). The problem here, is that they are Android and iOS only for now. (I think not that patch has been released for Android yet.)

  • Adobe photoshop touch for iPad 1?

I am a user of the iPad 1 and I really want to edit photos on iPad I waited and I see the adobe photoshop touch app, this is for iPad 2 only

Specify Photoshop Touch for iPad - iPad 2 only... so not to touch the solution for you...

What kind of things you are trying to accomplish with your iPad 1?

If you are looking for basic adjustments, sharpening, cropping, etc., and some effects minors & frames, then you can always try Photoshop Express... In other software, you could do much worse than programs like Nik Snapseed or Filterstorm Pro... I use both of these apps but PST now offers me options that none of them have-, more continuity with the native OS Photoshop itself...

None of these other programs offer a "layers" option so if that is your need then I see a new iPad in your future...

Even if you could make it run PST I think your iPad 1 processor and ram would stifle enough hard as soon as you tried to superimpose several layers...

Hope that helps - if not the news you are looking for...

This plan gives you an idea of why your initial synchronization has been long - most of your readings are one-piece readings and you have read 53 724 blocks. If you estimate 1 centisecond by read (which could be on a reasonable charge system) then it is 537 seconds. to 5 milliseconds per read, it's still 268 seconds or 4 minutes and 30 seconds.

A quick break down of some (the worst case) potential time - only you can say whether or not some of these readings will be always/often/never being cached in the file or at the SAN level.

Line 11 - physical reads 6 400 done - it's a tree bitmap then the readings are in the order of physical table with no. rereads. Call 5ms by read-online 32 seconds. L

    | * 11 |            TABLE ACCESS BY INDEX ROWID | DSCLR                       |      1.   5079.   158K |   533 (1) | 00:00:08 |  91395 | 00:00:01.27 |    6460.   6400 |       |       |          |

The hash join takes us from 6 400 to 11 788 because it joins, lines 21 to 25 (nested loop) in which most of the work is the random access table with some automatic caching: 26 seconds. Do a search here rather than indexed 22 000 access? Which would be faster, which would charge less.

    | * 25.             TABLE ACCESS BY INDEX ROWID | OCRN                        |  22050.      1.    21.     1 (0) | 00:00:01 |  21059 | 00:01:04.74 |   15634 |   5280.       |       |          |

Three nested loops that introduce more readings:

11788 9-> 26386:14 600 of the predicate view pushed which some lies but a very large index and a table of random access 73 seconds

    8 26386-> 33783:7 400 index line 30 - big clue about 37 seconds Access hides

    33783 7-> 53691:19 900 31 table access - large table line, not much caching, 100 seconds.

In each case, you can ask if an analysis would take less time than all of these random reads.

NOTE - all I'm pointing our here where you potentially use a lot of time so that you can ask whether or not you should do little of the query in this way, or if there is an alternative, or if the work you're doing is absolutely necessary. If you want to optimize the query you should consider the intent of the query and think your way through a reasonable join order to see if you can imagine an effective way to get the same data. I have written a few articles and presentation on an approach that begins by drawing - here is a link to an article I wrote for a group of SQL Server: https://www.simple-talk.com/sql/performance/designing-efficient-sql-a-visual-approach/
