  Hey guys, I've been setting up my new router Cisco X 2000 wireless recently and I have that works well for my laptop/desktop computers and even the PS3, but for some reason when you try to use the wireless on some of the other computers in my house it does not work unless you use a wireless guest account.

  Can someone point me in the right direction? I can't imagine what could be the cause.

  Oh and also, I use the Version of the Firmware: v2.0.01 if this is useful.

  connected with windows AD.

• Aspire E 15 cannot connect to wifi

  My laptop suddenly cannot connect to WiFi (error "Unable to connect to this network").  I run the Acer care center, and it says that my system is up to date (including drivers).  I used the health check to identify the problem, but "Troubleshooting couldn't identify the problem.

  The wireless network card is Qualcomm Aheros QCA9377. I went to http://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers and there are 3 Atheros drivers listed.  I don't know if I should install a new driver and install since there are 3 of your choice.

• Ad Hoc network. even if the network is active and is connected to the internet my devices cannot connect and then the network shuts down.

  I'm living in a college dorm and only have access to the internet via a hard line to my computer. So I wanted to give my other accessibility of consumer electronics set up an Ad-Hoc network and share the internet connection. When I originally set up the network it works fine, but after the devices go to sleep or I leave the room it stops working. I had problems to keep the internet connection to share continually, which I fixed it. I then had a DHCP problem with the hard line that has been resolved through troubleshooting function.   I bought the Aspire E5-571 yesterday and I tried to connect to wifi with no luck what so ever. It is running windows 8.1 x64bit. I've updated the network adapter atheros a.285 provided on the acer driver downloads section. but still no luck. WiFi connections are displayed but I can't communicate with them, I have infinity of bt using the bt hub 4. I go as far as to type in the access code for the router but says that it cannot connect. my other devices can connect (iPhone, portable under win7). the only way to connect is to sit on my staircase using an ethernet cable.   I found a solution!

  running all the updates and not having anything work, made me think of getting a new network card. It is clear to see that the problem lies in the qualcomm atheros so after watching youtube videos, I thought that it would be difficult for everyone to open their laptop and reinstall the network adapter. siimply so quite, I use a plug usb adapter you can get on amazon/ebay/or a store with an it Department for a simple tenner. Although this has not resolved the problem with the qualcomm's atheros card, I am able to connect to wifi, so I am very happy. Thanks for the reply.

  I just bought a S1002 an Acer (windows 8.1) last night and connected to the wifi at home. No problem.   I use my phone to take a picture, then blow up the images to read the tiny letters usually.

  I guess you have already forced the tablet to forget the network, rebooted and then retried connecting? It is sometimes difficult to get them to really forget a wrong entered password.

  This is a generic error and cannot stop here (as long as the database and the database listener are running).

  Do you think I should update the profile options with a SQL update to the base table? (It's only a game env so I did not "mind.) I wonder if the system that gets the same present when connecting.

  I recommend to update the options for profile directly, instead use an API.

  I use the 2.4 Ghz network and none of my wireless devices are able to communicate with each other...  I could not connect to a wireless printer to my laptop wireless (through the router) and thought it was unusual.  I tried ping does not work either.  I then plugged a cable ethernet to the laptop and could ping the printer wireless without a problem.   I tried other devices (wired and wireless connections) and it seems that no wireless device can ping any other wireless device.  If, however, one of the devices is connected, it works fine...  All wireless devices to connect to the router and internet without problem... It's just when they try to communicate with each other.  I have experimented with the desktop using the ethernet adapter, then the wireless adapter... same results.  My wireless using my previous router devices could communicate with each other.  It's almost as if this device has insulated AP running if this so-called it doesn't support that.

  I have an ea6900 and it works fine for me. Sounds almost like you are connected to the guest network which would be sort of this way. Did you do a power reset? It has never worked? Try to remove the power and back to see if it clears up it.

  before this error for months, I use my laptop and desktop computer to connect to xbox live without problem. I have the xbox plugged into the ethernet port on the pc and the pc over wifi with the shared connection that is naturally connected wireless to the router.

  The other day I connected the pc to the modem directly to test something and when I got together it all back but discovered that the xbox is no longer 'sees' the pc. have two PCs, I was able to reproduce the result into jumping once more directly into the modem then going back to the router. I guess once the modem for pc connection Jack, some setting has been changed I don't know and none of the solutions I found were applied to this oddity.
