Sometimes when I click on links, you get a yellow background. Is this normal?

Any Web site I navigate, it happens randomly. I click on a link and its background yellow! for example, when I'm on google.de and I want to use the General version (the link below on the right). I have to click several times to google.com. I use noscrypt with google.com. white list.

Such a problem can be caused by an installed extension that marks some (possibly nofollow) links.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

  • Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
  • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe
