Sony F5 "rushes" gel & lost

I'm a cameraman English shooting a series with actor Richard E Grant in the States on my Sony F5.

4 times in the last 7 days, the camera froze all recording. No buttons work including buttons on the OLED viewfinder and the camera would NOT STOP recording. It resulted in 4 lost and great professional embarrassment.

I tried to remove the map and still the camera continues to record, I turn off the camera and the thing still remains, I remove the battery and everything I did just disappeared. Terrible! No prompt telling me to restore the data, or the clip when I turn back again. Our worst nightmare in a professional... LOST "RUSHES".

As you can imagine I have now s * t me every time I throw the camera upward on one other thing I know will be longer minutes, terrified that, at the end of a long time, maintenance of the camera freezes and I have to tell the Director, the famous actor and the contributor that we shot just isn't here.

I managed to speak with someone from Sony who was terse and unnecessary. I almost hung up if evil was his atitude. He said that my warranty and support was valid in the EU because I bought the machine to the United Kingdom. He suggested that either I send the unit to the United Kingdom at my own expense or pay to have it fixed in the United States, once again at my expense.
When I took my breath and found my compsure I said Sony had over 18 grand of my money in their bank accounts over the past months, and I was expecting a little more help in a moment of crisis. They told me their was nothing else he could do.

Then, I did point out to him that I could buy a 250 quid i - pad from Apple and get support around the world. My view valid and fair hosted by a shield of indifference. He then threw punch at little cost by suggesting that perhaps I wasn't using Sony batteries and that could be the root of the prolem. When I bought the camera, I bought 5 of the Olivine included Sony and have always used on the camera. So that is not the issue.

I was angry and I'm angry now, furious f * g, in fact. And I expect to still be upset in the coming days. We have 7 days left to shoot, and I know at some point it will happen again and, quite possibly, after a one-hour interview. It's a terrible thought. And I think that it is difficult to explain how people like this Sony boyfriend * feels when, in a room full of people, some of them famous and successful, when the Director says cut, you can not cut!
And is the immediate consequence of not being able to cut lose some gold tv you just captured. I want to vomit just thinking.

As professionals using professional equipment and pay money for this type of professional gear proffesional, I think we should get technical and professional support to the top. I travel all over the world for work, and if my Sony camera packages to New York City, I wouldn't have to ship the thing back to the United Kingdom to repair just because it's where I bought.

I would like to shake therefore for a phone number that we can call anytime for help and advice with our equipment. This forum is very good but when the Ariane hit the fan and there is a serious problem, I want to call and talk with a man who can and wants to help.

During this time any help or advice would extremely appreciate of legions of camera brothers and sisters there.

Someone at - it experiened of similar issues with this version of firmware or in extreme conditions? I spent 3 weeks in Egypt recently in super hot conditions without any problem of camera. It was on an old version of firmware.

    Such things can be difficult to locate. Can be a number of causes of software corrupt to overheating or failing hardware.

    Somethings to try:

    1. Are there reports of errors in the event log that coincide with the gel, which can give clues?
    2. Try a scan for malware with free malwarebytes. (Download, install, update and run a full scan).
    3. Run a SFC/scannow to check some critical files of the OS.
    4. Run a disk error check
    5. Update your drivers for your system, esp the video, sound and if there are any blue-ray player. Check with the Sony for your PC since the last site available that they support.
    6. Do in a safe mode start or a clean boot (as a test)? Don't forget to return to normal operation after the test.
    7. See if Sony provides a way to check the operating temperature of the PC to see if its possibly overheating or a fan is malfunctioning.     However, I guess Sony experts will be suggested some or all these. If they have not, then give them a try.

    Yes, when you insert a card formatted in another device, this device does not recognize the photos he took. Your best bet is to get a card reader, a USB device that plugs into your computer, you can plug the card in.     The version of Windows 8 single language is available in limited markets and only comes pre-installed on new computers. You cannot purchase or download this separately.

    Sony should have a recovery on this computer partition and allows you to restore the system to factory condition.

The Windows Media Player library database can usually recover automatically from the database.
