• Two annoying when problems filming

  Hello everyone. I just bought Sony DSC-W800 to shoot short films (1 minute max) as I am experiment some ideas and can't really buy cameras of spendy. From the outset I found two things extremely annoyings the filming of a video:

  1 - the camera auto focus

  2 - the camera auto adjust the brightness of each time that a new light entered the scene (for example as kindling a desk lamp)

  is there a way to disable all the controls on the camera for videos auto? Especially auto focus and auto brightness.

  You can't turn them off; You must move on, and unfortunately, the W800 offers no alternatives.

  With other devices, you could switch to MF (focus manual) and M (manual exposure), but the W800 does not offer these options.

• Support of Sony BDP-S360 current FW bit BD

  I just updated my firmware to 11.4.011 which was published on 10/02/2011 and almost every disc I put in the drive I am presented with an "Invalid" message on the player and the 'unknown' on the screen.

  I was confuse up-to-date firmware would take care of that, but it didn't. I followed all the steps to resolve this problem on Sony.com, does not
  as well as have called support and we went through these same steps, so I took a few hours to test a hand full of comics and searched the net for each disk release date. I also noticed that the BD that does not play will access the USB key I inserted into the EXT port on the back of the unity of those who do not play, and there are MANY
  do not attempt to access the USB drive into the port of the POST and this is verified by the activity LED on the USB. I bought this unit at Sony Style and paid $300.00 plus tax and it seems that Sony
  is not add codes used on many BD for the firmware, and given that the F/W is not recognizing these codes do not play the disc.
  Sony should step up to the plate and add all these codes to the database of the FW. My PS3 gets updates every month and will play any BD you throw at it, but Sony is not only updating my stand alone. I'd like a refund on my player because it did not work it's just left sony dropped the ball.

  Sony took my money for 3 S360 (two were Christmas gifts for my father and another for my son) that do not work as they are intended or advertised, I see it as flight when I did not what I paid for.

  I too flashed my firmware to 11.4.011 and now the player does play blurays a lot more. I just bought the new box of Star Wars, and none of them will play. We get the error 'invalid error. Quite disturbing that a name like Sony transformed now into a bad reputation. My Panasonic player which is $ 100.00 cheaper them play beautifully. Come on Sony, fix it or lose the great name you've had for so long.

• Ultra Sony App and TOSLINK Digital Dolby 5.1

  On a whole new XBR75x940D Sony 4 k TV...

  Does anyone know what App Ultra Sony will put on its Dolby Digital 5.1 (like the Netflix app) for watching movies through the application on the TV?

  I use a TOSLINK optical output to my receiver and shows only 2 channels PCM for the ULTRA application. The receiver indicates Dolby Digital 5.1 channels or Netflix.  I tried Auto 1, Auto 2, and PCM with no luck in getting the DD 5.1.

  I don't understand how the application made by Sony to stream that content of film 4 k is not off DD 5.1, when have 3rd party applications. To spend $25 for a 4K movie and not hear the rear speakers is absurd.

• Change in Date of Expiration of SWF movie? (lost project files)

  Hello, big fan of Captivate and now use Captivate 3.
  
  Use us it for our customer demonstrations and training tutorials.
  
  One of my presentations took about 12 hours to 'film' - I saved this project with an expiry date of the film, as it is a sales presentation and I don't want to keep the old demos around people.
  
  In any case... a careless click told delete the source files in Captivate. I have still my movies out... is there a way I can open movies and push my day of expiration, or I'm ' up a certain Creek without a paddle?'. "

  If all you need is to buy extra time for the movie, consider simply changing the time system of the computer running the demo. There is nothing that I know in the file which would avoid this. This could then buy you some time to recreate this source file.

  You can also nail the development team to create a Captivate content decompiler. Something that sucks in a Captivate created. EXE or. SWF file and spit on a functional. CP file. You can do this by clicking here.

• Burner drive CD/DVD Supermulti A60 does not work

  For 10 days, my CD/DVD SuperMulti my A60 drive does not respond. It is impossible to play CD, DVD (comercials, staff, data, music or film) with the reader.

  If the reader can be Exchange, why a new look. • I am trying to remove security obsolete updates__

  I have a laptop with a small disk hard due to the fact that it's used a lot I have xp security updates from 2007-2008-2009 and I think I'm for 2010 so, how do I know which ones of these security updates are is most needed to keep running my xp.  I need to know to eliminate those that I do not need and do more than place on my laptop once more.  Given all this gibberish on my laptop makes it slower than molasas.  I need help ASAP

• Xperia Z3 double in france/Switzerland - travelling question

  I have a little problem with my T61 battery.  I usually use my system as you would for a desktop PC, which means that the battery has cycled only 19 times since I got it back in 2007.  Yesterday, the battery was perfectly fine to my knowledge.  Today, I wake up and see the light flashing orange battery.  Opening the program Power Manager tells me that my battery status is "poor".

  When I click on the button "Battery maintenance", the system stops.  No prompt "Windows is shutting down", it's as if someone pulled the plug without battery inside.

  I am using video clips high definition AVCHD from my new Sony CyberShot camera and showing the film on a Samsung 50 "720 p plasma.  If I burn a project WLMM created (Save Movie-> burn a DVD) and burn it in DVD maker, the quality is absolutely terrible on the plasma. It looks like an old VHS tape.  So, I guess the resolution 480 I saved is the problem.

  So, if I save the project with high-definition (720 p - 1280 x 720) in WLMM and try to extract this file in Windows DVD maker, I get the error "0 files have been added.  1 file could not be added.  The \xxxxx\xxxxx\xxxxx.wlmp file is not a supported file type, and it cannot be imported. "How is it possible that Windows DVD maker cannot burn a file created by its sister product Windows Live Movie Maker?  Am I missing something here, trying to extract a file to DVD Maker WLMM, or is it not possible?  Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

  . WLMP is only the Live Movie Maker file... what happens if you save
  the Movie Maker project in the format video .wmv and then try to import
  in DVD Maker?

• STR-DN840: I made a mistake; should I return it?

  Wow, not a good day as a buyer of Sony of long date. I don't know whether or not I made a mistake and hope that some here on the forum can advise you.

  • Audio remote network: allows you to control network and features DLNA streaming services only.
  • TV SideView (in lieu of Media Remote App): allows a complete remote control of the functions of the receiver.  Pairing instructions are on Page 64 of the STRDN840 owner's manual .
