How to open Sony Raw files in LR5 - a7 and a7RII cameras?

I'm running the last LR5 5.7.1 version but could not open the raw files of Sony cameras, a7 and a7RII.

    Help, please.

Sony A7 needs to import fine in Lightroom 5.7.1. Exactly what happens? What is the error message Word for Word unpublished full accurate?

Sony A7R II requires Lightroom 6.1.1/Lightroom CC 2015.1.1 or later version. You'd have to buy one of them; or alternatively, use the free Adobe DNG Converter to convert these RAW to DNG format, which can be imported into LR.

  • I just bought 6 of Lightroom. It does not recognize the RX10II sony raw files.

I just bought 6 of Lightroom. It does not recognize the RX10II sony raw files.  (RAW ARW file type).   I checked the web site of Adobe, it says version 6.1.1 LR. reads the ARW files.    6.1.1 seems to be only available in CC.  Is this correct?  My purchase was a waste of money?

    Advice please.

Lightroom 6.1.1 isn't Lightroom CC. Lightroom 6.1.1 is a stand-alone version and not required Lightroom CC. This is a free update to the version you have now. Download the last 6.3 maintenance of Lightroom Lightroom

  • Photoshop and Camera Raw or not with editing Sony RAW files?

I still read a lot of comments and forums that Photoshop and Camera RAW are not good to convert and edit files Sony RAW (ARW). Is there a reason for this? Or is it just not biased opinions?

I received recommendations for another program that is supposed to do a better job than the two, but still hesitant to use, I like to use what I already know...

So, what's your response to that?

    TIA

    Hi rfe777,

The Applications CC with Lightroom and Photoshop CC are good software to work with Sony's RAW files.

And also, they provide a good result when working in Camera Raw.

    Kind regards

  • Sony raw export/rendering errors

I'm new to the first, who decided to try it on a project that uses sony since a F65 raw files as avid delayed supporting the format in the new version of MC.

I put in place a tool for editing, using the hardware natively was simple. Reading is not all that smooth, sometimes falls executives, but is generally ok, even at full resolution.

The problems occur when I try to make or export. I have a green tint to the picture with many horizontal bands. I tried a bunch of different export settings, but what I would like is ideally prores HQ 1920 x 1080.

I'm on a 2013 15 "macbook pro with the GPU of the iris. PP CC 7.2.1 running. My project has the value "Mercury Playback Software Only".

Initially I think that maybe that's a problem with my GPU is not enough, but as I am new to the first, I thought that it is possible that I'm doing something wrong in my workflow.premiere error.jpg

Sorry, my fault for not including my os.

Yes, I did just try the 10.9.4 update last night. I have not tried to return to 10.9.2, as I've ever had on my machine, but I can try this option.

    Thank you

Does anyone else have problems with sony raw? or had good luck with it? I'm about to start transcoding but liked the idea of working in native mode.

  • Sony raw uncompressed.

LR 5.7.1 displays one! on each picture and says he cannot change a Sony A7II in gross umcompressed images.  Help

According to this post Sony A7sii RAW uncompressed still not read by LIGHTROOM update Photos

You must be at least 6.2 Lightroom. You can upgrade to LR6, or use the free Adobe DNG converter to convert raw files to DNG, which can be read by LR5. A third option is to subscribe to the plan of creative photography of cloud, which gives you the latest versions of Lightroom and Photoshop.

  • What DNG do need me for sony raw DRW

    had a sony RX100

now I need to change the DRWs

    then at 5 PSE

    Thank you all

Just use the DNG Converter later from here:

    http://www.Adobe.com/downloads/updates/

You need convert the ARW in DNG, a folder at a time, and these DNG files is opened in the old software.  Take care to set the compatibility version if something old enough to be compatible with the Camera Raw plugin that comes with PSE 5, ACR 4.6 or older.

  • Does Lightroom 6 support a6000 Sony raw images?

Lightroom 6 does support raw images from Sony a6000?

LR version 5.4 and newer supports the raw files of the a6000.

In your other thread you already said what is wrong - your destination to the right of the Import Panel is not what you intend, or if it is, LR is not allowed to write files to it.

The error "cannot be read" means that LR has attempted to copy the files from the camera memory card into the destination folder then LR tried to import this destination folder and the files does not can be read because the first step, the copy failed.

Updating to a newer version of LR LR 5.4 beyond will help the situation, you must always specify the correct destination, a folder that is writable.

Support for this camera is added in Camera raw version 8.7.1 which is compatible with Photoshop CS6 and later.

Your Options are either upgrade to Phooshop CC/CS6 or Free DNG Converter allows to convert .raw .dng files.

This way you can import to bridge and can work on it in Photoshop.

  • Sony RAW to Lightroom 5 file conversion

I use Lightroom 5 (LR5) for editing of my picture on a PC for a year now & been taken with Nikon, just recently bought a Sony A7II & LR5 will be not to read RAW files, when I try he says: 'files are not recognized by the raw in Lightroom 5', please check for update of Lightroom so I checked and I have the current version, no update available. I learned previously he'd read and there should not be a problem, well it won't. From what I read it looks like I need to convert these RAW files to DNG format, thanks to a plug-in. When I went to ' community help & Support Adobe " I found what I was looking for (I think) a plug-in for LR5, however when you open the link at the top it says: 'Camera Raw plug-in for CS6, CC or CC 2014 Adobe applications does not mention anything about LR5, but he did on the previous search page, so I'm a little confused. Joint is the link: install plug in Camera Raw

What's it for LR5, 'CameraRaw_8_7_1.zip '? And if so why didn't he tell about LR5, anyone knows? I do not want to download something and have it ruin my LR5 program. Here, any help would be greatly appreciated... jp

The link in your message is in Camera Raw, which is for Photoshop. As I say, it's irrelevant to the Lightroom camera support.
