  2. Then go to add/remove programs, scroll down to "Mozilla Firefox" and delete it, choosing to keep your bookmarks, customizations, etc. (don't tick the box).

  4. Finally, run the installation file downloaded previously on the desktop.

  Your bookmarks, etc., customizations are stored in a different location and will become available to you even once you complete the installation.

  1. Press CTRL + SHIFT + B to open the Bookmarks Manager.
  2. Click on the link to import and backup and then click on HTML Export and save the file somewhere.

  You can use this file at any time to restore your bookmarks if that proved necessary. Simply reverse the procedure and choose "Import HTML" instead.

  NB. If you use a download accelerator, turn it off before trying to download Firefox. These utilities are a common cause of corrupt files, in which case you get the error message you mentioned.

  I had to reformat my hard drive on my Studio 1749 and reinstall it from the disk operating system (which seems to have only the standard drivers on that).  Then, I went to the page of Support for drivers and installed the wireless lan driver and video driver.  But when I try to adjust the screen resolution, the only option for display is generic pnp monitor on standard vga adapter.  How can I get that back at the higher resolution and it supports?

When you say that it says you need Flash 10, is there information more than that? Are there any other numbers? We had 10.0 etc and now it is 10.1. Maybe they do not support vs 10.1.102.64.

  Clearly Flash Player works fine with your browsers and youtube, so there is no problem there.

  I use IE6 and youtube works very well :-) I think I have fewer problems with IE6 as well as being able to view what I want, even the BBC :-)
