Sort photo album

Is there a program I can download that will take existing photos on my laptop and remove those who have several copies in different folders throughout the computer?

Well let me expkain a little more.  I got many cameras, flash drives, etc. with photos and music on them, and Ive them loaded on my laptop.  Lots of pictures and songs were duplicated, and I just don't have time to browse all the.  Also, even when I start not goin between them, if theyre not on the screen at the same time so I begin to question whether or not they are duplicated...

Auslogics Duplicate File Finder helps you to find duplicate files that are likely to be scattered all over your hard drive. The program can compare files based on size, date, content and name. You can select several folders (with Sub-folders) or an entire drive to analyse, specify the methods used to determine the files double and then view the results list and delete files that you no longer need.

  • Question: Sort photos by date within the album.

    Hello

I have a silly question: is it possible to sort photos by date within Albums? I know that if I choose 'photos' mode they are arranged by date, but when I chose pictures to create a new album, they are not sorted by date.

What version of Photos do you use?

In Photos 1.3, you can sort photos by date in an album.

Select the album in the sidebar, ctrl-click, click "Sort" and select "keep sorted by...» ».

To bring up the sidebar enter the key combination command-option-S ⌥⌘S

  • Using pictures of Yosemite 1.0.1 I created a 400 photo album. I custom sort them. When I copy a USB to share with friends my custom sort is lost. Is it possible to maintain the current order of photo on a USB?

Using pictures of Yosemite 1.0.1 I created a 400 photo album. I custom sort them. When I copy a USB to share with friends my custom sort is lost. Is it possible to maintain the current order of photo on a USB?

Of course, not as the sorting, the viewer sees is defined by them not by you - given the same USB you can use the finder to display in alphabetical order, last updated order etc. size - files have no command - the viewer defines the order

You can select Photos and export using a file for sequential access to export name so if the Viewer uses an alpha sort they correspond to your order desired - you can facilitate this, but they must define their queue viewer correctly for them to see it as you wish

  • Sort photos in a Photo album date in version 11

In version 10, I could create an album, add photos, right-click on the name of the album and select "Sort by date of the photo Album", or something like that. It was very convenient when I had more than one source of photos for a certain event, such as a trip. It would change the "order of the album", which makes it very convenient for creating albums photos or other projects where I wanted to in chronological order. It was an oversight by Adobe, or I'm missing somewhere? I don't want to see 'Oldest first' to the media discovers 1st before recording the album. Looks like an unnecessary step.

Have you tried to change the order of sorting for the album? You can choose newest, oldest, importing annealing in Bell or album (custom) order.

Or is your problem like this?

  • How to sort photos?

I am trying to sort my photos in App Photo in one of my libraries and the sort function is grayed out. Do not allow me to re - sort my photos. Any reason, why and how can I change this?

You cannot sort the album 'All the Photos' predefined or moments.  But any album you create yourself.

Rather than offer sorting for predefined albums options Apple has provided several library items are sorted differently.

    • "All Photos" will show you the photos sorted by the date of their importation, growing, so the most recent imports there will always be at the bottom of the album.
    • 'Moments', 'Collections', 'Years' will be sorted by the date of capture, growing.
    • Your own albums and smart albums have several sorting options.

I created my own "MyAllPhotos" album, which all shows all the photos, that I have not hidden:

If you see a greyed sort option in a menu for a predefined album, greyed out here tells you how the album is sorted.

  • Photo albums, do not sync on iOS 10

They show in the pictures under different dates tab, but not in the albums section in the appropriate album titles the they are synced with.

Ive never had this problem until the update to iOS 10 today.

Help, please! Given these photos sorted into albums is a necessity for me!

  • Sorting photos of Mac

Returning from a trip abroad with 3 other members of the family, I imported shots of all 4 cameras in Photos.

They are NOT like an album separate for each camera (as in the days of 'old'), but only by day of the month.

BUT NOT within the day: many times 2 of my photos from iPhoto, dismantled the seconds, find themselves separated by 10-20 + pictures of the other cameras.  If there is a lot of pictures in each day (as there is in my favorites), it is incredibly long to identify similar delete.

QUESTION: Can I re - sort pictures of travel by the camera used?  Can if not this, I sort by time-of-day better?

We cannot see you, but generally, this is caused by the settings of different times on different cameras

You cannot change the sorting - Photos is only by date/time with the most recent pictures down

You can make a smart album for each camera (menu, file == > new smart album - criteria camera is [select from the drop-down list] and if one or more adjustments of seed for correct settings, you can choose for your travel photos and use the image menu == > set time control to correct)

  • iCloud SORT ORDER album.

How to preserve "sorting" of a photo album, when I make a shared album iCloud?  All my work sort of creatively, is lost when the online album sharing.  Maybe I should use DropBox instead?

    Thank you.

    Rog Mason

A shared album is essentially still a shared photo stream, even if Apple has changed the name of 'shared Album.

If you want to have a shared album sorted in a specific order, you add photos to the album individually.  Thea bum will always be sorted at the time wherever you add photos. If you share photos in an album at the same time, the sort order of your album will be lost. Add photos to the album one at a time, in exactly the order you want.

  • I want to reset iPad photos so it clones my iMac Photo Album via a cable. Get weird iPad 1/2 albums I don't want. How?

Something weird is going on my iPad 2 aerial, with the remains and partial albums. I have always used a direct connection cable USB-lightning to synchronize. My iMac photo album is perfectly formed, sorted, etc. I want to have pictures of my iPad to wipe all the photos, and then clone that I have on my pictures to the iMac. No muss, no fuss.

Then go ahead, I want both of them to sync.

I've tried enabling iPad iTunes > Photos > synchronize Photos (both TOGETHER and SELECTED (with all selected).) I end up getting half of the albums, they aren't right key group, bad photo, etc.

I already copied all the pictures I want from my iPad to my iMac, so I'm fine with losing everything that my iPad Photos has, as long as it takes all my iMac photos and on the copy material.

    Best way to do this?

Latest versions of iOS and El Capitan.

Bonus question. iPad Photos wants to import many (many) photos to Photos of the iMac. These images already exist. If I select all import them, is smart enough to go, synchronization "is a dup so I don't bother. Or I'm going w / duplicates ruin my iMac Photos? Having several hundred pictures showing whenever I have connect my iPad and then view it on my iMac annoys Photos app.

    Thank you very much!

I'm sure that you know--he put the photos in iTunes and then sync them to iPad - not sure from Photos - Mac directly, works

That said, I think I know that photos are stored with a specific tag, and if you import the same image twice, it will be stored again with another tag creates a duplicate

If possible try with just an image and see what happens

Also, if you don't want pictures opens automatically as soon as the connection of the iPad - there is a box at the top left which you can uncheck

  • Photo album not in the right order

When I discovered an album photos are not in the order of time, even if it's the sort sequence that I selected. They are mostly in order of time, but there are pictures (often several in a row) that are out of sequence. However, when I view the same images in the album "All Photos" the sequence is correct.

    I tried:

    (1) fix the library

    (2) remove all photos of Photo, defining the location the same in all of them original, and then re - import in Photo

    None of these permits.

Am I missing something or is there a bug in the way that the kind of app Photo photos in albums? It seems strange that in the album 'All the Photos' photos are sorted in their good time sequence, but not in an album that contains a subset of all the photos.

    Help!

Since there were no response, I would like to add that I searched this site and found several positions reported this same problem, however, I was unable to find fixes.

I would like to add another question: does anyone know what date field (p.. ex - Date, update date fields EXIF) is used to sort photos by date?

  • Photos app: all photo album has not all photos

Recently, I have synced my ipad, phone and computing in the cloud.  "All Photos" album includes not pictures visible at the opening to the top of the icon 'photos' at the top of the page. You're like this on all the devices.

Can you tell me how to move the missing files to the "All Photos" album?

First off you should move to El Captain since it includes new features and bug fixes

as for the pictures - it's all photos and you can add or remove things - you don't give out any details at all but best guess is that it you are missing photos because you are looking in the wrong place - all the Photos is sorted by date imported photos

  • Sorting photos

If I'm going to Revel Premium I'll be able to sort my photos as I want to display them and not be forced to accept the date order?

    Thanks in advance

    Ian

the interface is the same for users who are free and those who are (premium). The mechanism of the main screen of photos is currently by date.

You hope to rearrange the photos manually in an album to tell a story, or you're looking for a type of mechanism to sort by albums and tagging libraries?  Fortunately, I'll take your feedback and request to the team for review.

  • How to copy an organizer 'photo album' to a digital photo frame, photo enforcement "album?

I like to keep the order of the photo I put in place in an organizer 'photo album.  When I copy the photos to photo album on a USB key, the order is the order of file name.  Is there a way to keep the order "photo album"?

Order of the album is limited to the catalogue of the Organizer. The order of sorting out the catalog may decide where you view album. You can create an album, choose your album order, rename your files by selecting all files and pressing Ctrl + N and Sift. The files will be named according to your order of the albums.

This name change will help you display your files in the same order, outside as well as inside the Organizer.

    Thank you

  • Import Album Aperture in Photo Album

I forgot how to import an Aperture album in a photo album. I exported the album but this is a library.

My goal is to import albums with key words, original, etc. in a photo album.

Drag the Aperture exported with your book on the Photos icon in the Dock library.  Photos will create a new library of Photos in the Aperture library.

You can not import the Aperture library into an existing photo library, only to migrate to a separate photo library.

See this page to switch between photo libraries: https://help.apple.com/photos/mac/1.2/?lang=en#/pht6d60b524
