Satellite U200 - sound does not work after the installation of Win8.1
Hello guys,.
I have some old Satellite U200-165. I installed windows 8.1 Enterprise assessment successfully after that I changed the hard drive SSD, but the sound does not work. Windows showing that his work perfectly, but it does not come out.
An advise please.
Satellite U200 is a pretty old and not supported for Win8 or Win8.1 machine. I think that we have no report on this forum how this old piece of equipment works with Win8.
If the sound card is properly installed, have you checked all the sound settings?
I presume that the same problem is with a headset, right? -
Satellite P200 accidents + message: graphic card driver does not work properly
Hello
hope that this issue has not been covered before, but I've owned a Satellite P200 for 3 years now, and this week, it crashes all the time.
When it started going down he gave me a few messages in the sense of "your graphics card/driver does not work properly and windows will be arrested to avoid damage.
It has progressed to the point where now when I turn it on, I have vertical lines running down the screen and the screen flashes on and outside. Within 20 seconds, it restores the BSOD - 'there was a problem and windows will be arrested. Error Page_Fault_In_Non_Paged_Area"then stops.
I ran a system restore but the problem remains.
I have a feeling that my graphics card is toast. Is this good? Are there any other options to try? Thanks in advance for any answers.
Matt
Hello
Sounds like the GPU problem.
But try the graphics card driver update.
Use the most recent driver for your graphics card.In addition, clean the fans of portable computers.
Dust and debris could prevent the cooling fans to turn with the best speed and this could lead to a higher temperature which would lead to overheating.
Use a jet of compressed air. I also use it and it helps to get rid of dust and debris. If this is not enough, then a problem of graphics chip would be possible.

Satellite Pro L300 - sound is not working properly
Hi all!
Last week, I bought my Toshiba Satellite Pro L300.
I have had no operating system with the laptop, but I had my own XP, so I changed the SATA drives in compatibility mode and installed windows XP Pro.
(By the way this is a Vista laptop officially)
I installed all the drivers, but I have a problem with the sound. It has a bad quality, but this isn't the biggest problem.
If I start listening to music, the sound stops every 3-4 seconds for a fraction of a second. It's as if the processor worked (like the computer was loading, and the processor is a bit overloaded) I usually have this experience if I run many programs simultaneously on my old computer, it slows down and the music stops for a second. But on the new laptop, I run winamp, I have dp nothing but listen to the music, and I get this problem. Can anyone help? Is it because of XP? Or the driver does not work properly? Or I have a big problem and should go back to the store?
Please write!Hello
Did you notice HARD drive activity when this happens?
Maybe some anti-virus works in the background.Maybe you can order original Toshiba recovery DVD for your laptop model. Check it out under the https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx
Using WXP only? I ask this question because I believe that you can only get to this Vista laptop.

Satellite L755-1ED - sound is not working properly
Hello
I am currently the owner of a Toshiba Satellite L755 1ED and the sound does not work as it should for a few weeks. When I try to play an audio file or a video, its offline or online, works well for the first few minutes, and then suddenly disappears. I use Windows 7, and when that happens, his is still known for the system as you can see in the volume control, but any noise is coming from the speakers. However:
-If I pause the video and then repeat it in like 30 seconds, sound usually comes back. Also if I go to Sound Settings in + material and Sound + in the + control panel + and then try to check if it works, it's usually after the first or second attempt.
-If I use headphones always works perfectly.I have already installed the latest updates of my sound card and I don't know where the problem is maybe. Some help would be welcome.
Thank you very much and sorry for my English (is not my native language).Post edited by: BleuHiver

Very interesting article. Speakers a little internal switch port that helps mobile to recognise that the earphones are connected and when you connect headphones, internal speakers will be disabled and the sound comes through the speakers only.On some machines, it is possible to manually switch between external and internal contacts
When you open Control Panel is Realter HD audio manager available or maybe Smart audio?

Satellite L775 - mouse pad does not work properly
I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite L775. I run Win 7 Home Premium. My mouse pad does not work properly. I also have a Logitech Anywhere MX wireless mouse. I tried the mouse pad to work properly with the key FN and F9, but it does not work. And you really have no idea if that turns or out of the mousepad anyway, subj for another time I guess.
What does not work, but I have to do is to go to Control Panel then mouse option load that and just scroll the tabs without changing what each time and then close and the touch pad works. But only for this session. If I have my laptop nearby, or turn it off, I have to start throughout the whole process.
What's past and how to fix this?
Thank you very much.
> What's past and how to fix this?
After reading your ad, I still don t know what is your problem.

How to understand this? What does not work properly? What happen exactly when you start your laptop? -
Satellite Pro M10 - infrared does not work properly
Hello
I have a Satellite Pro M10 and my infrared does not work. I downloaded the zip file with the drivers from this site. Then, I uninstalled and reinstalled, but it always happens in the Device Manager under "unknown - SMC IrCC - Fast Port infrared (IR Module: HP). (with an exclamation point). When I look at the properties it says under device status:
This device does not work properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)
Click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter for this device.
However, under Driver Details is said:
C:\windows\system32\DRIVERS\smcirda.sysI extracted the zip file in my home directory of c:\downloads\infrared.
whatever I do, it does not now. It worked when I bought it, but I have too many things on the system for a new installation. Which brings me to another question. Is it possible to re - install windows without losing all your data, etc.? I did it with other systems (95,98) Windows. But it seems that the Toshiba recovery disc means any wiping. Thanks in advance for any help.
ChrisHello
If your HARD disk contains two partitions and you have saved the data on a second you can reinstall the operating system on the first partition using recovery DVDs.

Tecra M10 - Sound does not work on Windows XP SP3
TECRA M10 sound does not work with Win XP SP3
1. the drivers from the toshiba web site.
2 chipset drivers and audio drivers were reinstalled no luck,.
3. no mute FN + Esc
4. feature eat that all drivers okHello
If I understand your right all devices listed correctly in the Device Manager and you don t have yellow exclamation points?
Normally, for high definition sound cards, you need two patches from Microsoft:
KB835221 and KB888111.
Normally, these patches are integrated into SP3 but it works only if you install the audio driver after SP3. So, if you have an older version of XP without SP3, you must update to SP3, all first and then install the display driver. So in your case, you must delete the current sound driver and restart the laptop. Then use CCleaner to clean the registry and system files. Reboot the laptop. Then download and install the driver of his newest Realtek Hompage.
Good bye

Re: Sound does not work on Tecra M10
Hi all
I have a Tecra M10 with XP and all the drivers installed, but sound does not work.
I checked the Device Manager and everything is fine, no red cross or whatever it is on the driver realtek audio.
Everything on the sound properties. I even uninstalled and downloaded the audio driver from the toshiba site again but still no sound and no mistake.
Can someone help out here?Thank you.
Hello!
The sound is turned off on your laptop? With the FN + ESC key combination you can enable/disable it.
Check it!In addition to the high definition audio devices you need two patches from Microsoft to go looking for the proper functioning. Have you installed the two?
Here are the links to the Microsoft Knowledge Base where you can download both:
