Sound lost when it is connected to HP 22bw

I connect my Dell laptop to my newly purchased 22BW monitor. The sound doesn't appear when I use the HDMI cable, but works fine when I disconnect it. I can't use the VGA or DVI connections because my laptop doesn't have these ports, so I can't say if I'd have the same problem. I have loaded my 22BW software CD because I don't have an external CD drive. Can someone help me here before I have to spend money to invest in a portable CD player to load the software that may or may not get back my sound? Thank you.

I went into control PANEL, click on SOUND and found my problem: my laptop sound device has been set default to my external HP monitor that has no embedded speakers.

I changed the setting and here it is!

  • Sound lost when I installed a NVIDIA GEFORCE 8400GS card

I installed a graphics card and lost sound. When I try to open the volume control I get a message that says: "There are no active mixer devices" the card supplied with the HD audio software and I installed it without thinking. I use not the HD audio. I want to just restore the mixer and audio original. Any help?

    Hello:

If your graphics card is equipped with an HDMI output port, all you have to do is go into your BIOS and look for the audio setting on board.

Will be set to Auto.  Change it to " Enabled". Save the setting at this point, and again when you exit the BIOS.

Now your integrated audio system needs to be restored, and you can also audio HDMI when you connect an HDMI cable to your TV.

  • sound on laptop lost when it is connected to the docking station

laptop connected to the docking station and audio comes through the audio connection [headphones] on docking station.  No sound on computer

    Hello

    ·         If it works well before? If so, remember to do recent changes on the computer before this problem?

When you connect the laptop to the docking station, the default audio output device will automatically change to the docking station. Similarly, in the case of plug in the headphones on laptop. I suggest you to check if the audio device by default from computer speakers is properly defined. Follow these steps:

    a. click the Start button, select Control Panel, click hardware and soundand then click sound.

    b. click the read tab make sure that the correct default audio device is selected. (For most users, the default audio device is pregnant.)

    c. If your default device is not set to the right audio device, on the read tab, select the appropriate device, click Properties, click the Advanced tab and make sure that the default Format is set to the value you expect. When you are finished, click OK.

    d. on the read tab, select the playback device, click set upand make sure that the configurations are set correctly.

If the sound settings are set correctly and that your speakers are already set as default device, go to "Check if an audio driver is installed" now.

    e. Select the audio device you want as audio device by default, and then click set as default.

    f. click OK to save your settings.

  • Device connect and disconnect sounds play when NOTHING is connected!

    Hello

I am running Windows Vista x 32 on my Dell Inspiron 1525. The problem is that the device connect sound, immediately followed by the device disconnect sound, playing intermittently even when not a single device is connected. I have already extracted 1 million solutions online, and here's what we can exclude:

    • Still, she does when no devices are connected, so it is not a loose USB device.
    • Does it by chance; I can't predict when the sounds will play, and there is no evidence in the event viewer I can link to this problem.
    • My laptop does not have Bluetooth, so it's not just trying to pick up a network.
    • I've updated all the drivers I can think and who has been recommended by others. They are all to date. I have also each service pack installed.
    • It is a customized, sound scheme so that these sounds are ONLY related to the device plug or unplug, respectively. I even went through all the sounds in the profile just to make sure I didn't accidentally double up.

The only other thing relevant I can offer is that I actually just sitting there waiting for the sounds to play while looking at the Device Manager. I got all the closed lists, and when sound plays, the "network adapters" list opens. Yet once, I checked to make sure that all of these drivers are up to date, but it still plays. Please help, I'm going crazy! Thank you in advance!

BTW, even if I can put up a good show to know what I'm doing with a computer, I'm not that well versed in techno-parler, please dumb down your solutions. Thank you. :-)

    Hello

That description makes it sound like the issue is a network adapter that is enabled - right click either the
Interface NETWORK (wired) or peripheral card WiFi and turn OFF - which ever you use and see if the noise persists?
I look in Device Manager is a good idea.

Is it a PC or a laptop - card integrated or add-on/in? If a PC off ALL power and remove and reinstall
all cards and cables on both ends (in fact, remove and replace - do not just tight). Not much, you can
do this with a laptop, unless WiFi is external but for PC or laptop, you can turn off the edge
WiFi (if she has that) and use an external device.

I hope this helps. Rob - bicycle - Mark Twain said it is good.

  • Satellite Pro A300: Bluetooth headphones sound decreases when it is connected

    Hello

I have a pair of headphones Creative SE2300 Bluetooth that I use with my Satellite Pro A300 and its built-in bluetooth.

They connect well and work as they should (including the A2DP and AVRCP) except that the sound cuts every 20 seconds or more for anything from a fraction of a second for a couple. Abandonment of sound is completely intermittent no apparent reason for it.

Now earphones Creative also came with a transmitter to connect to any helmet and the connection to it works perfectly with no decline in the sound. I also connected the earphones to my phone and it used to listen to music, and once again the connection is flawless.

So why the connection to my laptop is so bad?

I have improved the battery Bluetooth to the last v7.00.16 (T) and my headphones are fully charged.

Any help will be very appreciated!

You have any other Bluetooth connections configured for example data synchronization?

    Hello

I have two guests of computer virtual on my laptop.

  • Re: Want to HP dv7 - no sound on the TV when it is connected via a HDMI cable

    Hello.

I would also like to ask for help because I'm faced with the same question.

what I'm trying to get a sound with HDMI, it will not work...

    Delfim João

    Hi @Delfim ,

Thank you to visit the Support Forums HP and welcome and thank you for all the information about what you tried. I looked in your question about your computer laptop dv7 HP ENVY and the problems of sound with an HDMI cable connected.

    Try this fix.

    1. a click right icon "speaker" (right)
    2. Select playback device
    3. click right speakers
    4 activate and as default
    5. click apply/OK

This is a general document on the resolution of the problems with the HDMI connection.

With the HDMI cable you have restarted the laptop?

    Have you tried another cable?

    Hope it will be useful.

    Thank you.

    Hello

I had the same problem recently with the urge of 23 I use at work, so I plugged the headphones in the speaker to the back of the computer. The music now plays only through the headphones.

When the computer is seen from behind, the speaker on your desire output jack is probably close to the lower right. It looks like your headphone output, but it has a small icon that looks a bit like this:

  • Value of cluster lost when you leave the structure of the case

    Hi all

I'm having a problem with a particular VI I'm working. (FYI it's in Labview 8.0)

The VI is set to run a current source, voltmeter and thermometer, then recording and graph the data in various ways that can be selected by the user.

Everything seems to work fine except a particular graphic method. When I try to graph current compared to the tension, the current value is lost estates. In a case the current and voltage are combined to form a cluster, and then leave the case structure to be later appended to a table of cluster.

However, the value of the cluster is lost when the chart is set for the voltage vs. Any other method and it works correctly.

I can't understand why this is happening as it does not make much sense than other methods of work charts, but this one isn't when it is coded the same exact other than having the different variables.

I have attached the VI with added indicators showing that the value of cluster is lost once he leaves the box structure. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you very much and I apologize for my extremely messy VI.

    -Nathan Cernetic

You really need to boil this down to something we can run and reproduce the problem.

Have you tried to break a few relevant connections and rewire? Something is possibly corrupt.

Besides being a mess, your VI has quite a few glaring errors.

Let's take a look at the structures at the top right:

    • 90% of the code is the same in all the structures of three cases, so all that needs to be inside the structure is the small part where you built the table 2D. All the rest is outside of the case.
    • The structure of the sequence has no useful function.
    • Why do you need to reverse the table with each iteration of the small loop FOR? Once before the loop would be sufficient. Right?
    • Why you use table built inside the small loop FOR, but no autoindex on the edge of the loop? All you ever get is an array containing exactly one element, no matter how the loop runs. Seems unnecessary! (see below for an alternative image).
    • You wouldn't even need to reverse if you want to use "built the table" instead of "insert into the table at position 0" in the central part.

Other: You constantly hammer all nodes of your property. The only need that will be called when things change. Again, you have far too many cases. For example, in the structure of the case where you are having problems, the same nodes of property exist in all cases. A single instance of the property node belong outside the case and only the string inside each case constants. Whenever the code is the same in all cases a case structure, which code belongs to the outside!
