Sound no longer works on my 4-1030US Ultrabook desire

When I restarted my laptop, the sound icon at the bottom right corner says she is silent, but whenever I press the convenience store comes out and it says could not find a solution. Try the following.

Download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

When finished, restart the computer and let Windows load completely.  Open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select playback devices.  'Speakers and headphones' left click once to highlight, and then click the Set Default button - check if you now audio.

If you have still no sound, open windows control panel, open administrative tools, and then open Services.  Verify that the following services are all showing that status = started and the Startup Type = Automatic

Audio service

Multimedia class Scheduler

Windows Audio

Windows Audio endpoint Builder

If you need to make a change to one of the above, just right-click the service and select Properties, and then in the drop-down list box next to "Startup Type", select automatic and click on apply to save the changes.  Then click on the Start button.

    It stopped working about 10 days ago.  Initially, there was no sound, but I could the volume up and down with the Quick Launch button and the mute button would go from red to blue when they are affected.  I checked to make sure that nothing was cut, and everything seemed to go well.

    I googled the problem and he said to do a restore system back before it stopped working.  I tried several times and it went through the process, but then when it restarts it said that it did not work and that none of the parameters have worked.

    Then a few hours ago, I noticed the button mute is now red and won't change to blue the volume slider does not touch is.

    Then I saw a post here that says to go to the recovery of the system and reinstall the sound led (IDT High Definition CODEC) and I did, and he said that this was the case, but it does not solve the problem.

    I'm lost and would like to help if someone has any ideas?  Please?

    I got help from a friend, and his advice worked.  I thought I would post this for others having problems

    Well, I guess you can try that it wouldn't hurt. Assuming you are using Windows, that is.
    Go to run and type services.msc when the box appears scroll down to Windows Audio and double-click. Make sure that the service is started.

    You need to install device drivers for example chipset motherboard, graphics card, map its etc go;
    (1) cd is included with your PC
    (2) the site of PC makers, so a large OEM Dell, HP or laptop - specific to your model, for example
    (3) the sites of manufacturers of equipment if a generic PC

    I've just updated to 10.9 OSX.

    Sounds in the timeline no longer work. Not at all.

    When I try to play a DVD in windows media player it is all stops sounds work including system sounds and sound in itunes. When I restart my computer the sound starts to work again, but when I try to play the DVD again once I get the same problem.

    (2) is what happens with all DVDs?
    (3) is the issue limited only with Windows Media Player?

  • Random sound no longer works

    Got windows 7 for a while. The sound just stopped working randomly. I can see her on the volume bar, but it is simply not get out my speakers.

    I uninstalled and reinstalled soundmax drivers, but still no sound.  I checked for similar problems, but other issues seem to happen just as people upgrade to windows 7.  My sound worked fine on windows 7 and it just seems to stop working out of no where. I don't know what it could be.   I have Windows 7 Home premium.

    To better help, please give the make and model of your PC. Please also relay the exact model of the audio device installed.  In addition, you can check that the last device audio driver compatible Windows 7 provided by the manufacturer of your audio device is installed.

    You can also check that the speakers are set as a default playback device. To do this, right click on the speaker icon in the taskbar, and then click playback devices. Then click the pregnant, do a right click and then click on set as default device and then click OK.

  • Satellite L50D-B - 13 c - sound no longer works

    I have problems with the sound on my laptop.

    He worked at first, but whenever I moved the laptop, or my hand caught the HDMI slot on the right, it should stop and after a while again.

    Now, it is stopped completely, and I can't get it to work.

    If HDMI sound problems, you should check if the HDMI was chosen as default device in Control Panel-> sound-> the Read tab.

    After you have connected the TV to laptop, an extra device (HDMI, digital, output etc.) should appear in this tab.

  • Pavilion DV6-2010sf: HP Pavilion DV6 Sound no longer works after Windows upgrade Windows 7 10

    After upgrade to Windows 7, no noise, even with icons on the screen at the bottom left and keyboard sound ON display.

    ATI driver high definition Audio Device was running OK.

    Audio CODEC IDT High definition driver was NOT working and unable to do so.

    I ran Windows Update but who has installed a new version of the drivers and Audio CODEC IDT High definition driver now works OK, still no sound even with icons indicating it is under tension.

    The HPSupportSolutionsFramework of the HP utility that is supposed to help can be downloaded: 10 seconds after download starts, it will stop ith error notification (and no explanation).

    I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question about your HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook and no sound after a updated Windows 10. I uninstall that I listed in the audio, video and game controllers first and reboot the laptop. Then download the driver Audio IDT high definition (HD).

    You can try:

    1. a click right icon "speaker" (right)
    2. Select playback device
    3. click right speakers
    4 activate and as default
    5. click apply/OK

    I assume that your custom e-mail notification sounds are found on your storage card.

    I think that once the update, the storage for the Sony Email and calendar application permissions to deny by default, so if you store your sounds of notification on the storage card, they do not work. Here's how I got mine work.

    Go to settings / applications / calendar.  Click Permissions, and then leave the permissions of storage
