Sound - speakers

If I move dock station to another location, I don't get sound from speakers to computer.  To try to solve the problem, I made worse by accidentally a removal of the audio device drivers.  Help me to reinstall all required drivers and know how to turn on laptop speakers somehow they will switch off.

First of all, please tell the forum what version, edition and service pack level of Windows® you are using.

Second, please tell us the manufacturer and model of your laptop.

This is critical information that we would need to answer your question correctly.

However, the general answer for questions like that is:

Go to the web page of support from the manufacturer of your laptop for your model.
There you should find the drivers and, perhaps, other software you will be
need to solve this problem.

  • IDT Audio Codec time Sound speakers but not with headphones on ENVY DV7 series laptop

I bought my laptop not more than two months ago. Its perfectly played through my helmet literally the day before yesterday.

Only two changes have occurred since then, first of all I accidentally plugged my headphones into the external microphone jack, then I updated the 'Music' for Windows 8 PC application.

After my sound stopped working. I restored my PC to a restore point dated before its no longer works in my helmet, however resonates once again that in my speakers (when my headphones are disconnected). When I plug my headphones, sound no longer plays in my speakers but no sound from my headphones either.

    Hello

    Try the following.

First of all, download and reinstall the Chipset driver at the following link.

    Chipset Driver - Windows 8

    When reinstalling, restart the laptop.

When windows has reloaded, download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

IDT Audio Installer - Windows 8.

One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

When you're done, shut down the laptop, unplug the AC adapter and then remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the default values (sometimes it's f9, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

Allow Windows to fully - charge it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete.  Then open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select playback devices.  'Speakers and headphones' left click once to highlight, and then click the Set Default button - check if you now audio with headphones.

Go to the dashboard-> Realtek HD audio manager
In the upper right corner, there is a small yellow folder called "connector settings.
Here, you can re-enable the setting "enable popup dialog box, when the unit is plugged.

So now, when you plug an external speaker or headphones, it appears and you can select the option "helmet" (instead of "line-in"), and then the sound only through the headphones/ext.speaker.

  • No sound - speakers appear "not connected", cannot uninstall "Audio Digital S/PDIF" device

Two weeks ago, I used to upgrade my pc version SlimDrivers drivers Win7 Pro.  He installed a "device high definition Digital Audio (S/PDIF) audio" and apparently disabled my speakers hd audio device existing"on where no sound.

Since I disabled and uninstalled the "Audio S/PDIF digital" (although it seems always in 'his'), located the original speakers of "see the disconnected / disabled devices" and tried to update the drivers for these "speakers" (he pointed out as existing for this device later and correct drivers).  I rebooted several times after uninstalling attempts.

My speakers (good Canyon market those with power USB and standard 3.5 mm stereo jack plug) work on my other laptop.  I also connected standard headphones to the defective pc, but they don't work no more - nor on the connections front or rear jack output (pale green).

I tried a system restore to before the updates driver and looked in the BIOS for a disabled person options - no luck.

The 'stakeholders' always appear as "not connected" with a red arrow pointing down.  Furthermore, I can not test, set them as default device or set them as default communications device.  In "High definition Audio Device Properties", I can open only the driver Details, but no updated drivers, Roll Back drivers, disable or uninstall.

The "Audio Digital (S/PDIF)" appears as disabled with a black arrow pointing down.

Are there any good-hearted boffin out there that could help?

You are welcome.  I'm glad it worked.

  • Public static sound speakers G500s

Yesterday, I bought a G500s, and now I want to connect it with my (speaker with battery) Ion tailgater
but when I connect it with the tailgater I have a static noise, and if I want to load the tailgater (and leave only it connected to the laptop) a high pitched noise high is in the speaker. This never happened before (and still can't) with other laptops or mp3 players.
    Can someone help me?

    Hello

This maybe because the G500s have a combo Jack that supports a type of diff of 3.5 mm jack

It includes more ring Conector Combo micro support and taken listener.

You may have seen something like that, then you don't have to buy one right away, if you know someone who has this kind of separator, it might be better to first try

    Hope this helps

  • No sound from the rear speakers 5.1 surround

original title: 5.1 surround sound does not work properly on windows 7.

5.1 Klipsch surround sound does not work with windows 7.  WM player and library itunes only play on two rear speakers.  System works fine on excerpts from concerts to youtube.  Worked well previously on XP.  Have seen a lot of forums with people having the same problem but no solution.  Anyone? Thank you.

    Hi K Johnston,

    Please contact Microsoft Community.

I understand from the description of the issue that you are having problems with setting up 5.1 surround sound speakers. Let me know if this isn't the issue.

    (1) have you tried setting your speakers upwards through the speaker configuration window?

Method 1: If this isn't the case, I suggest the steps to configure your speakers and check if you are able to select the surround speakers in the speaker configuration window.
    Set up your speakers
To set up your speakers for the best sound, follow these steps:

    (a) Open Audio devices and sound themes by clicking the Start button, click Control Panel, hardware and sound, and then clicking sound.
    (b) click on the playback tab, select speakers, and then click Configure.
    (c) under Audio channels, select which speakers are present in your speaker configuration, and then click Test. You should hear a tone play in each speaker. Click next and follow the instructions to continue the Setup process.

Method 2: If you have no option to select the option of surround speakers in the speaker configuration window, then it seems that you don't have compatible drivers for surround speakers set up on the Windows 7 computer. So, I suggest you to contact the manufacturer to obtain compatible drivers for the surround speakers.

I hope it helps. If you have problems in the future, please let us know. We will be happy to help you.
  • Connected my Bose bluetooth speakers but no sound after disconnecting.

Recently, I connected my Bose Soundlink Mini bluetooth speakers to my Mac to play a sound for my Audition track. Once the connection I had to fix my settings of audio for hearing (forgot what settings). But now, after disconnecting my Bose speakers and using my Mac to depend on sound speakers, no sound plays the hearing. The play button is lit green, but there is no noise or anything not moving time, nothing. In addition, it is said "Playing (Resampling depending on the device sampling rate: 44100 Hz). And whenever I run Adobe hearing, a box appears after hearing of the charges and demand "audio hardware from your system parameters have changed. You want to review the preferences of audio of the hearing? "I click 'Yes' and help out but nothing has changed, and no sound is played. What should I do?

In hearing preferences, ensure that it is always connected to your audio device, as it seems that it is not. The fact that nothing is moving is significant; This only happens when you have a disconnect.

  • No sound after upgrade to security 2016-004.

I installed Security Update 2016-004 this morning after updates. Everything was fine, including resetting.

After the system came back, I noticed that the speaker in the title bar icon was gray and no sound speakers. However, the headphone sound output.

System Preferences says "Digital output" that apparently my MBP 17 "end 2011 on Yosemite 10.10.5 has not.

    Can someone please help?

    Thank you!

    Fernando

    Try a reboot.

Make a backup using Time Machine or a cloning program, to ensure that data files can be recovered. Two backups are better than one.

Try to set up another admin user account to see if the same problem persists. If back to my Mac is enabled in system preferences, the guest account will not work. The intention is to see if it is specific to an account or a system wide problem. This account can be deleted later.

Isolate a problem by using a different user account

If the problem is still there, try to start safe mode using your usual account.  Disconnect all devices except those necessary for the test. Shut down the computer and then put it up after a 10 second wait. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the SHIFT key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. Startup is considerably slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a check for directory and disables all start-up and connection, among other things. When you restart normally, the initial restart may be slower than normal. If the system is operating normally, there may be 3rd party applications that pose a problem. Try to delete/disable the third-party applications after a reboot using the UN-Installer. For each disable/remove, you need to restart if you do them all at once.

  • No. 5.1 surround sound HDMI

Problem - I don't get that ' "two-channel stereo sound during playback of a DVD (with Dolby) on my computer.  The computer is connected to an audio receiver that is set up for a surround sound.  Audio and video signals are transmitted from the PC via the HDMI 8.Lorsque on the video/tuner card.

    Computer - Compaq SR7510F

Vidéo/Tuner - ATI All in Wonder HD

Connected to Onkyo TX-SR604 through a video/Tuner card HDMI cable.  The Onkyo receiver is connected for 5.1 surround sound speakers.  Video signals are transmitted via the receiver to a flat screen monitor

    Sound - onboard Realtek

According to the specifications for the SR5710F it is supposed to support its 6 speakers.  However the HDMI audio driver only allows me to select "stereo".  It is a select "surround" box, but the box is "grayed out".

When I play the same DVD using a stand-alone DVD by Phillips drive, connected to the Onkyo receiver with the same HDMI cable, I get Dolby on the receiver.  This means that it is not a problem with the receiver, it must have something to do with 1) onboard Realtek sound driver 2) HDMI, or 3) the HDMI connection on the video/tuner card.

I checked on the Web from Realtek site and they list a newer driver for Vista (32 bit), but when I use the Device Manager to update the driver, it is said that it is the most recent.  I don't know that the driver is the problem, so I'm hesitant to try for the heck of it.

I tried the latest drivers Catalyst 9.1 for ATI All in Wonder card, but that didn't help either.

    Any idea?

    Telefunken,

Thanks for the suggestion.  It worked!  There is absolutely no sense to me, nor it does not seem logical to select SPDIF, but I can't argue with success.

I didn't need to buy Arcsoft Media Theater.  I was able to select SPDIF with ATI Catalyst and Microsofts Media Center.  I could get Dolby

In my current setup, I updated ATI Catalyst 9.3 version graphics card and loaded the audio driver Realtek HDMI ATI R2.18.  Also in the BIOS, I put the Audio on 'Auto '.  I chose the HDMI, not the Realtek driver driver in Control Panel.  I chose Dolby and DTS bothy under the driver settings.

Now I think I'll enjoy a Quantum of Solace from this nagging problem is resolved.

  • Satellite U200 - no sound with Win 7

    Hi all

I've recently updated my wifes u200 to Windows 7, but for the life of me I can't work.

Device Manager displays sound like work. If I click on the icon in the tray sound system, it shows the moving bars of top down, as they should, but no sound speakers. The speakers or the headphones no sound.
In addition, the small toggle on the side switch does not work.

I tried both the drivers W7 standard drivers for Vista, but nothing works. Any help much appreciated.

    Hello

Have you checked if the 'secret' has not been activated?
You should check this in Control Panel-> sound settings.

You must also remove the sound card in Device Manager and should reboot the device.
Windows 7 will restart and will ask and recognize the sound card automatically.
Then you can test the sound.
