SOUNDMAX DRIVERS - post Win7 upgrade (M52 8215-D1G)

Hello

I've recently updated the copy of Windows on my IBM ThinkCentre M52 8215 of Windows XP Pro (with which he delivered) to Windows 7 Pro by using the procedure of custom Setup, following the instructions. More pleasantly, the entire process was surprisingly smooth and simple, and when it loads Win7 for the first time, everything installed and worked perfectly... except for the noise.

In the 'Sound' of the Device Manager sub-section, it lists only "high definition Audio Device" which seems to be a generic Microsoft driver. and no mention of "SoundMAX Integrated Digital HD Audio. I want to emphasize that, before the upgrade to Windows 7, I ran the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor, which precisely confirmed that "SoundMAX Integrated Digital HD Audio", as well as other drivers of key devices, was 'Compatible' with Windows 7. Unfortunately, IBM/Lenovo seem not to offer all the Windows 7 for SoundMAX drivers and tried in vain to install both the drivers Windows XP original and those published for Windows Vista - only to be met with an error message saying that the software was not compatible (Vista installation finished without error process drivers, but does not solve the problem either, or seem to have changed anything).

After trying every possible solution and driver SoundMAX I could locate under the Sun, I wiped the computer again and made an another custom installation of Windows 7, as I suspected that my desperate experiences had left behind all kinds of things on my system newly re-formatted. I did not attempt any installation driver SoundMAX since.

During this time, since the loading of Windows 7, I had a camera appear as "Unknown device" in section "Other devices" in Device Manager, with the formidable small yellow triangle next to him. It is not clear if this is indeed the audio device that is not recognized by Windows 7, or another device that is not installed properly (although all known and peripheral devices are correctly listed in Device Manager), they are has personal information listed in the Properties window.

If someone could point me to a copy of the necessary drivers SoundMAX for Windows 7, or help in some way, I would be very grateful: it's very frustrating to have no noise, especially when everything seems to work perfectly.

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: I just noticed that by plugging the headphones into the headphone jack, by those I mean (this is correct for the front and back made headphones), but this still does not work on the speakers. No idea why this might be the case?

  • Tecra A10 - Win7 upgrade Vista Business edition

    Dear Forum

I'm curious, if you please, on a Tecra A10, which, at the time of purchase, had installed Windows Vista business.
At the latest date the owner upgraded to Windows 7 (for free I think but I'm not sure).

Windows 7 installation has become corrupted and need a new facility, but a backup has not been made.

Please someone knows if the owner has a way of re - download Windows 7 free of charge, taking into account the existing Windows 7 installation is legal.

    Yours with thanks in advance
    Ian

I put t know what previous owner did somehow but if possible install clean version of Win7 and not Vista Win7 upgrade. I did it on several machines Vista and now all the machines work perfectly with the clean version of Win7 32 bit.

  • Some problems of Vista Win7 upgrade

    Hello!
My OS Equium A100-338 has been upgraded from Windows Vista to Windows 7.
Since what the Toshiba Movie Factory and the Ulead MovieWriter disappeard and now she also does not recognize SD cards. I checked toshiba Web site and I couldn't find the answer...
I have just the recovery for windows vista CD and I don't know what to do to recover the software (?), and how to solve the problem of SD card.
I'm just a user and do not understand the ins and outs of computers...
Is anyone out there that can help?

    Thank you so much!

    Silvia

I agree with Akuma. There must be a compatibility issue and if these apps n t work it is the price you pay for Win7 upgrade. These additional requests from Toshiba are not downloadable, so what you can do is to use Windows Movie maker or other applications.

What you can do, is to buy more recent Ulead Movie Maker/Writer designed for Win7.

I checked the Toshiba download page, and there is no driver for the SD card reader. This means that you can try to use the Vista driver or Win7 update is the only driver.
    Check please the two options.

From Toshiba Web site does not support... I hope someone knows! thnx already

  • Two new drivers posted on the Site of Toshiba U.S.

The first game is the added package Windows 7 32 bit and the other is the Windows XP 32 Alps Touchpad driver.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Windows 7 drivers posted more because Windows 7 will go on sale in the United States of tomorrow, October 22.

It will be interesting to see if the Fn keys work now.

I played yesterday with a NB205 with Wndows 7 Best Buy. The utility of flash card was linked to the Fn keys while working.

    Hello:

You need this driver for the 6007:

This package provides the HP 3D Driveguard software (HP ProtectSmart hard drive Protection) for the laptop models running a supported operating system. HP 3D Driveguard protects the drive hard by parking the heads if cell phone accidentally falls, or is suddenly struck by another object.

  • Can I install Win7 upgrade on another computer after upgrade Win8 on my computer?

Initially, my computer came with Vista installed. Three years ago, I bought an upgrade to Win7 and installed. A few months ago, I bought and installed an upgrade of Win8 on the same computer. I have another computer running Vista, and I was wondering if I could use the Win7 upgrade license to upgrade this computer. Technically, the upgrade of Win8 could meet the requirements with the Vista license on the original computer. I run Win7 on the other computer without having to buy a new license. Is this possible? The upgrade disks are details of Microsoft.

Yes, it is possible. Because the machine was originally license with a qualification license (Vista), he would take the place of this license, thus freeing the Windows 7 Upgrade to serve elsewhere. So, Yes, you can transfer it to other Vista machine.

  • Can I use a Win7 upgrade version to do a clean install?

    Hello world

I have Vista 64 bit on a desktop computer and want to upgrade to Win7 64-bit, the arrival of my version of the software upgrade.  It seems that the experts agree most do a clean install is the way to go.  My question is, if I backup my computer and reformat, I'll be able to install the new operating system on the Win7 upgrade disk or if it will not have recognized that Vista was still there and not install?  In this case, do I need to buy a full version of Win7 instead... even if I replace a Vista license with the clean install?

Any idea would be appreciated.  Thank you.

Yes, you can perform a clean installation with the Windows 7 upgrade version. Just start on the Windows Vista desktop, insert the Windows 7 DVD click "install now". When the menu appears, select custom (advanced option) to a clean install procedure.

I bought the version upgrade of windows 7 on CD, not the product key that you buy online.
    Any help would be appreciated.

Also, is it possible to return to the Home edition?

    > I noticed that my network card was not available, also my NVIDIA graphics card has not been installed, a bunch of other institutions. I would have to install them manually?

Of course, you must install the missing drivers.
It seems that you have installed the Win 7 OS clean and in this case all the Toshiba tool and utilities must be installed also.

The laptop seems to belong to Toshiba Australian series:

I guess you didn't create a floppy disk for recovery in the past? Right?
Well, in this case you must order the disk Toshiba ASP in Australia,

It is always helpful if you post the full product name or product number. You can find it by removing the battery and looking for the label that says p/n. display the string alphanumeric full here in your thread.

Have you looked into the system of operating systems section in guides stickied for that information?
