  • Alert for the ability of logical space available for guests.

    Hello

    I request assistance here. I activated a control host for LogicalDisk available capacity rule. The rule is the calculation of space based on the percent of available capacity. I want to put at the level of the GB instead of %.  As a result, if there is the 10 GB available on drive C alert must trigger.  Rule condition is as below. I just tried to multiply Host.LogicalDiskCapacityAvailable.fatal by 1024. But it did not work. I think it won't work because I guessed.

    #capacityAvailable #.<>

    any idea on defined this to draw attention to the No. of GB free space available would be geat.

    Thanks in advance.

    OK, it's a good thing to do, since % is not always the most important to watch.  for example, you must always 50 GB of free disk space on a data store, regardless of % in use.

    ALWAYS COPY A RULE, AND THEN CHANGE IT *.

    First, you must determine what you want to compare, and what threshold you want to compare to.  Unfortunately, this particular rule is not written very clearly as an example.

    The current rule uses a scope of VMWVirtualMachineLogicalDisk:

    The fatal rule condition is currently:

    try {}

    vmStateObjs = #vmState a $scope.virtualMachine #;

    tmpList0 = vmStateObjs?. values(vmStateObjs?. topologyObjects[0]);

    If (tmpList0 == null | tmpList0.size () == 0) {}

    Returns false;

    }

    vmState = tmpList0.get (0)?. GetValue;

    qObjs = #capacityAvailable a $scope.hostLogicalDisk #;

    tmpList = qObjs?. values(qObjs?. topologyObjects[0]);

    If (tmpList == null | tmpList.size () == 0) {}

    Returns false;

    }

    availbility = tmpList.get (0)?. GetValue?. getAvg();

    If ((vmState==null) |) (availbility == null) | ((! vmState?. equalsIgnoreCase ("poweredOn")))

    Returns false;

    @rulette_data ["VmState"] = vmState;

    @rulette_data ['Availbility'] = availbility;

    If (availbility<=registry("VMW:vmLogicalDrive.fatal")) return="">

    otherwise return false;

    } catch (System.Exception e) {return false ;}

    availbility is stored as 0-100 (%) of the total space on the logical drive.

    To create a rule that compares to the truly free disc, we need a different query

    to retrieve the "spaceAvailable", which is stored in megabytes.

    So, for our new rule, we will need:

    qObjs = #spaceAvailable a $scope.hostLogicalDisk #;

    tmpList = qObjs?. values(qObjs?. topologyObjects[0]);

    If (tmpList == null | tmpList.size () == 0) {}

    Returns false;

    }

    spaceAvailable = tmpList.get (0)?. GetValue?. getAvg();

    SpaceAvailable return;

    Now, we can change the comparisons in the criticism and Fatal to alert

    on the comparison of spaceAvailable to a new registry variable called

    Host.LogicalDiskCapacityAvailable.fatal which is set to a value of 10240,,

    et Host.LogicalDiskCapacityAvailable.critical which can be set to something like 20480.

    Both are in megabytes to match the scale of spaceAvailable.

    The new fatal rule would then be something like:

    try {}

    vmStateObjs = #vmState a $scope.virtualMachine #;

    tmpList0 = vmStateObjs?. values(vmStateObjs?. topologyObjects[0]);

    If (tmpList0 == null | tmpList0.size () == 0) {}

    Returns false;

    }

    vmState = tmpList0.get (0)?. GetValue;

    qObjs = #spaceAvailable a $scope.hostLogicalDisk #;

    tmpList = qObjs?. values(qObjs?. topologyObjects[0]);

    If (tmpList == null | tmpList.size () == 0) {}

    Returns false;

    }

    spaceAvailable = tmpList.get (0)?. GetValue?. getAvg();

    If ((vmState==null) |) (spaceAvailable == null) | ((! vmState?. equalsIgnoreCase ("poweredOn")))

    Returns false;

    @rulette_data ["VmState"] = vmState;

    @rulette_data ["spaceAvailable'] = spaceAvailable;

    If (spaceAvailable<=registry("Host.LogicalDiskCapacityAvailable.fatal")) return="">

    otherwise return false;

    } catch (System.Exception e) {return false ;}

    Notice that @rulette_data values defined in the Fatal plan.

    and then can be used in the critical level without recalculation them.

    The critical condition would then be:

    try {}

    vmState = @rulette_data ["VmState"];

    spaceAvailable = @rulette_data ["spaceAvailable"];

    If ((vmState==null) |) (spaceAvailable == null) | ((! vmState?. equalsIgnoreCase ("poweredOn"))) return false;

    If (spaceAvailable<=registry("Host.LogicalDiskCapacityAvailable.critical")) return="" true;="" return="">

    otherwise return false;

    } catch (System.Exception e) {return false ;}

    You can watch the behavior tab, you want to prevent "fly."

    If the available space goes above and below a threshold on a regular basis.

    You can to your rule set to something like a fire after 2 consecutive failures, wait for 30 min between.

    Title: Error 0x8007045D new Code

    I, m, try to copy a file .mkv of 17 GB of my hard computers driving outside hard disk, the error message display of the computer's peripheral IO error 0x8007045D? What should I do? I tried the solution required to the http://support.microsoft.com/kb/952272 account, but could not solve it? I use Windows 7 Home Basic Edition, OS, 4 GB of RAM to 64-bit. There is enough space available in the drive in which I am trying to trnsfer the .mkv file, almost more than 200 GB.

    Hello

    -Did you do changes on the computer before this problem?

    Step 1: I suggest to start the computer in safe mode and then try to transfer the file and check if it helps.
    Start your computer in safe mode
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode
    If the issue is not persistent, then follow the article to find the cause of the same thing.

    Step 2: Clean Boot Mode
    I suggest to maintain the computer in clean boot mode and check if the problem still persists. A clean boot to check if startup item or services to third-party application is causing this issue.
    You can read the following article to configure the computer to boot:

  • Want a graphic 'Filesystem space available' for the last 31 days, 7 days and 24 hours on 24

    Using control of cloud EM 12.1.0.4.0.

    For a given host, we are able to get the desired cards as (host > surveillance > CPU detail), which gives us the use of the GPU, CPU etc. load graph. For these cards see you current, last 24 hours, last 7 days and 31 days.

    We need similar graphic for "Filesystem space available (MB or free %)" or the disc.

    I can see the data is present in MS for example (Home > surveillance > the metric), under there are file systems:

    - File system space available (%)

    - Space of available filesystem (MB)

    - File size (MB) system

    But these data are in table form.

    and you can pass the data for these positions... BUT I need to have table smilar to chariot of CPU load with the files above, system information

    Please help with steps, or direct me to documentation.

    Thanks a lot for any input.

    On the page where you see the metric data in a table, select a row (for example a mount point) and you should see the table of the metric for that point inside mounting.

    Below a screenshot shows the graph for a mount point.

    Could you help me solve this problem?

    Thanks in advance

    * Note * I found the solution... Before I used the system of virtualization and Citrix (XENSERVER) there was little different. That's why I'm stuck on a few easy steps... Well, the problem was that I use 61GB HDD, 5.5 GB of memory. When I create the VM I "ve used the maximum size of HARD drive and left no space for the SWAP file. I used 58 GB, and you have to assume + memory size, this means, 58 GB + 5.5 GB...   So who is right for which I didn't have enough space. Hopefully someone will find it useful. See you soon,.

  • Installation of the Photoshot 13 elements. error message: "this is a problem when extracting the files. Check the amount of space available on your computer and the rights to write to the destination folder. I have 1.38 TB of free space and total control

    I try to install photoshop elements 13, that I bought and downloaded from Amazon. When I try to install it I get the following error message: "this is a problem when extracting the files. Check the amount of space available on your computer and the rights to write to the destination folder. I administrar 1.38 TB of free space and total control.

    Charles please do not remove the installation files in the Program Files directory.  I recommend to extract the installation to your downloads folder or your desktop files.  Once installation files are extracted, you can then run the installation program to install Photoshop elements 13.

  • Not enough space available on the disk without title

    Every time when I trie to install any creative cloud application, I get an error "not enough space available on the disk untitles-(30). There is no disc titled untitled and there is enough free space (50 GB).

    It happens on my Mac Mini and Mac Book Pro. The only similarity I can find, is that they have both a Kingston custom 60GB SSD.

    Does anyone have a solution to this problem, I already tried to change the location of installing a HARD drive.

    You're right, this isn't a problem downloading.

    It's a lack of space in / tmp (or/private/tmp). It is a silent place to stash huge to download files, but moving on... It's an easy fix.

    If you're set up with an SSD a popular board 'longevity' is the tmp in RAM or elsewhere to save some wear and tear.

    In expression, type "df - kh", if you see/private/tmp anywhere under "mounted on ' and the 'result' is not large (several concerts I assume), there is your problem.

    The most popular advice ramdisk (can not find the link right now) is to place a startup item to do this job and name "RamFS" or/System/Library/StartupItems/RamFS. Move it out or chmod 000 it temporarily, restart and install. You can replace the StartupItem subsequently (and restart).

  • Load data into Essbase with EAS (no space available on the device)

    Hello

    I exported all Essbase database data in a text file with EAS. The size of the file is 1.6 GB autour

    I want to load it into the same database on another server with EAS. And each time around 55%, EE gives me the error "No space" available on the device [ServerB]

    Here is the configuration:
    -Essbase server: 11.1.1.3 on a linux server has (enough space left for Essbase)
    -Server EAS: 11.1.1.3 on a linux server B (enough space for the data file)
    -EAS Client: 11.1.1.3 on my computer (Windows)
    -Data file: on my computer too

    Error messages tells me that there is no space left on the service Regional Server.

    Do you know where EE server temporarily load the data file before sending it to Essbase? So, I can increase my file system.

    Thanks for your help.

    Why don't you just copy the export more to the essbase server, personally I would not even try to send this amount of data over a network through the Regional service.

  • MacOS Sierra of misreporting of space available?

    After the upgrade to Sierra I noticed that the free space on my hard drive went to 63GB, according to Finder. However, when I try to copy a file 43 GB hard disk, I get the error message that there is not enough space. I tried to restart, but to no avail.

    If I go to 'about this Mac', I see that I have 25 GB of free space and 38 GB of data "purgeable". (Which adds up to the 63 GB of free space that pays Finder).

    I waited for purgeable data would be purged if I need space, but that didn't happen.

    Everyone knows this?

    (PS. I do not use iCloud for storage, in the case where what matters)

    Under on this Mac/storage/management, you have a few options to manage disk space. You can try to see if managing these aspects addressed the problem, you can also empty the trash and see if it is included in the total. But even with 63 GB of data and the need to copy a file 43 GB leaves your system with about 20 GB, which is not much for the system to work out of. Consider the external storage and free up your system drive.

    FWIW Mine shows correctly on both ends.

  • Disk space available inconsistancy - how can I fix it?

    Hello

    My iMac (27 inch, mid 2011) incorrectly displays available disk space or is corrupt.

    Most data show than others (I know it's music and video).  This could show in this way that others use the iMac as well?

    I have

    people with disabilities and activate spot which is used for more information on the use of space.

    used the built in disk utilities.

    Run fsck in the command line.

    None of this solves the problem.

    It started when I moved the iMac to a synology Server data.

    I think / hope it was the cache or temporary files which would disappear.  No luck at this point.

    I am considering a reconstruction which may include installation of a disk a lot more.

    Or I create a mirror image of the OS and applications and hover over the data.

    This would allow to format me the drive in the unit and the copy of the OS and the application of return

    Maybe reinstalling the operating system will not solve the problem (seems unlikely to me).

    I'm looking for suggestions for this problem that could be easier and take less time!

  • Free space available on hard drive

    Recently, I noticed that my new MacBook Pro has been low on available storage space.  It has a drive 250 GB of merger with a score of 75Gb for Windows.  When I looked at the drive in disk utility, I found a free extra partition of 58 labeled GBs 'space '.  I have no idea how the extra partition came to be.

    I tried to delete the partition with no luck.  I get this error message:

    How can I delete the 'Free space' partition and add space on the Macintosh HD partition?  In addition, the partition "Untitled" is Windows on Bootcamp.

    Just a little more information, I tried to make the road together a partition via Boot Camp.  Even through Boot Camp the total size that the reader would be after the removal of Windows using Boot Camp still wouldn't understand not what is shown as a Partition 'free space '.
