(Space key) Apple wireless keyboard is repairable?

My old wireless (Bluetooth) keyboard of 5 years was apparently a defective key space bar. The problem is not with the elastic key mechanism, but with the actual connection of keys hidden in the body of the keyboard. I heard that it is NOT repairable. Is this true?

The keyboard had other less critical problems as well. He loved, from time to time, is not to get paired with my iMac, so I had to switch to a reserve USB keyboard. However, when the offender has been almost left that she paired and reconnected himself by himself.

Should I throw in and buy the new keyboard of magic? -I don't like the connection of the USB cable.

Sorry, but your question has nothing to do with Apple networks. I suggest that you resubmit your message in the screen area of the Apple Support communities in order to get a potential solution.

  • Can not get the new pair Apple wireless keyboard

I followed the 'how' document, but it does not work - I guess that these statements applied to the previous generation apple wireless keyboard, but not the new series aluminum.

When I "add new connection" (Express or Custom mode) a dialog box opens asking me to enter a PIN code on the keypad and press ENTER. I enter the serial number given, but I get an error message that authentication "was wrong." I've heard that I need to enter a PIN of 0000 for the keyboard to work, but the Toshiba Bluetooth stack doesn't seem to let me pick my own PIN - he always chooses for me.

I uninstalled the Toshiba stack and tried XP SP2 stack - it works with the new apple keyboard runs it a PIN of 0000. Unfortunately, the battery of XP SP2 is not other profiles that I need so I can't really use it.

    Has anyone figured this out?

If you have entered the PIN code according to in the keyboard Bluetooth (not the PC keyboard!) and 'Link level security' has been activated - is that correct?

I assume that you mean the keyboard built into the 'smart cover' - it must be in contact with the iPad.

  • Sudden loss of alphanumeric keys on wireless keyboard

I have two computers of FitPC3 Win7Pro.  I have an IOGEAR GKM681R wireless keyboard to use with a.  It worked fine for a few months and then the alphanumeric keys suddenly stopped working.  All the other keys on the device, the scroll and trackball worked well, but I couldn't type.  More funny thing is, I can type during installation of boot, but lose the ability after the boot of Win7.  Connect the keyboard to the other FitPC and it works very well.  It took the computer repair, but they couldn't fix it.  Have tried to replace all the drivers that I can find.  Not all of a sudden, imagine what went wrong.  Ideas?  I need this type of apparatus for radiocommunications wireless mobile ham.

  • How can I use the hotkeys digital w / Apple wireless keyboard?

    Hello world

I bought a keyboard, Apple Magic for my Late-2013 MacPro running Adobe Premiere.  Newer versions of first and OS X.

The wireless keyboard is shorter than the extended keyboard and so does not have the numeric keypad on the right, but also of the other keys like 'Home' and 'Page Up'.

I found ways to replace by 'Home' and 'Page Up' using combinations such as FN-(left arrow) Fine.

But how to get back the possibility of type "+ 24" in the Source or program monitor to move the 24 images?  Alternatively, a more useful tool for the editor, go directly to a specific image by typing the timecode?

First does not recognize these shortcuts from the digital keys that are in the top row, on the letters.

I really miss this feature.  Before I give up on my wireless keyboard, I wanted to see if someone knows how to make these critical shortcuts for me.

    Thank you!

    Joe

    End of 2013 Mac Pro

    OS X 10.11.4

    64 GB OF RAM

    Premiere Pro 2015.2 release, 9.2.0 Build (41)

Here's an update: I called Apple, and the solution is another piece of material: Belkin YourType wireless keyboard.  It's another Bluetooth keyboard which adds the keys I've been missing.

So basically, if you want to use the first (or most other change programmes, I guess) with a wireless keyboard - you need two.

  • Very important question! Why my Apple wireless keyboard better and much stronger than my midi keyboard?

    I have a Yamaha psr-330 midi keyboard

I have an Akai mpk261midi keyboard

I have an Alesis v61 midi keyboard

they all sound the same in Logic Pro X, I can barely hear the sound of the piano, the pressure sensitivity is out of whack, I basically just plug and play midi keyboards and use software instruments without changing anything in Logic Pro X... why does my little Apple Wireless (bluetooth, remember) clearer keyboard better, more responsive and much stronger than any general midi keyboard? its embarrassing to say the least!

I have the volume to the maximum one time and even raised the gain on the software instrument "Piano Steinway tail" and still barely, I could hear a noise...

Please help me I have no other solution... IV ' e tasted its best thanks to a computer keyboard dang, how is this possible?

How can I get my midi keyboards sound as good as my computer wireless keyboard?

  • Apple wireless keyboards are secure?

A recent report says that several wireless keyboards easily to interception by hackers and criminals, allowing them to track every keystroke. Apple keyboards send encrypted to the recipient computer signals?

    To my knowledge, no.

However, the risk is rather minimal, because the effective range of Bluetooth devices is about 30 feet (10 meters). I certainly wouldn't worry about this kind of risk.

  • Apple TV does not recognize the Apple wireless keyboard

My Apple TV (4th generation) does not recognize the wireless Apple keyboard I want to make a pairing.  All my other devices (Mac, iPhone and iPad) recognize the keyboard.  This should be done automatically on the Apple TV, but it's not.  The Apple TV has acknowledged the Apple TV remote and paired with her.  Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Ken Templin

I paired a non-Apple clone keyboard and it was somewhat capricious. You go to the remote controls and devices-> Bluetooth, enable matching on the keyboard, and it should appear in 'other devices '. You select and enter the number to validate. It requires no tvOS 9.2.

  • Two Apple wireless keyboards

    Hello

    1. can I combine and use two different keyboards wireless (bluetooth) of Apple on a Macbook Pro from Apple at the same time?

    2. If one of the keyboards is UK layout and the other TO (so the Y & Z are reversed, and there is a right of the 0 ess - EFF), and I also have a blank document open and selected in Microsoft Word

    • When I pick up and use the keyboard to UK layout and type the first letters from left to right on the keyboard, and the last few numbers, then the one on the left right, I see QWERTY and 67890 - (the last character is a minus)
    • When I use the German keyboard layout... etc... see QWERTZ and 67890ss (the last character is the ess - EFF and note the Z not Y)

Basically I want two wireless keyboards paired, with different updates page, and according to the work that I do, I want to take the appropriate keyboard and without any reconfiguration have work as expected and the characters embossed on the keyboard appear in my Microsoft Word document.

    Thanks for reading.

Not with the settings from Apple.  Software that converts keystrokes in letters (keyboard layout file) apply to all internal and attached keyboards.

You might be able to use the carbine app to do what you want, but I have no idea what would be the code.  You can check with people who do that.

  • How do I pair an Apple wireless keyboard in bootcamp on windows 10

MY keyboard Apple Wireless for some reason not paired the Bluetooth connection in boot camp Windows 10 running. When I click to pair it again it ask a keyguard code. Where can I get this "pass code" of? I have never seen it before.

OS x generates a password and displays on the screen. Try '0000' or '000000' as code access (without the quotes).
