Speaker/headphone/audio jack problem

I recently had a problem with my headphones. The computer recognizes that I plugged but continues to use the external speakers and there is no noise coming through the headphones. I tried more than a pair of headphones and it still does not work. Computer restart worked once, but not anymore.

  • Reference Dell place 8 7840 headphone / Audio Jack problem

My place 7840 arrived last week and I really like this thing. Today, I finally plugged headphones into the phone 1/8 "plug and immediately heard a rehearsal 'click' sound, strong enough and not affected by volume or muting. Quickly, I rebooted the Tablet, then tried again in Airplane Mode. The same problem. Checked my sound settings. Everything was normal (Bluetooth audio works fine). Tried another set of headphones - same problem.

Everyone fell on this? My helmet is defective?

    Thanks in advance.

UPDATE! I found the problem. Problem solved.

I use the Dell Folio, which came in the form of a Pack, and he made sure the headphones were enough to play sounds and 'feel' as it has been connected - connection but it wasn't quite the case. Making felt a little loose, so I gave the helmet a good shot and he well engaged. No more rattling! I am back to enjoy my place of 8.

    Hope this helps someone else.

  • HP m7160n the front audio jack problem

I am running Vista Home on my PC Media Center m7160n.  I used to be able to plug my headphones into the front audio jack and it would reduce the rear speaker output.  Now it doesn't!  I entered the sound properties and is set to turn off the rear socket, when the system detects a card into the front socket.  The helmet still works, but I need the speakers off when using the headset.  I hope this is enough information.

    Hi MrBassMan26,

It's weird and looks like the jack-detect is not working properly. This problem just started happening? It happened after installing anything, even a Windows Update?

If it just started happening, you can try to perform a restore of windows to an earlier point when it was operating normally. Or you could try to re - install the driver audio or even install a updated audio driver. Who should take care of it, and if not you may need to make some configuration changes in one of the sound properties (Windows or Realtek).

I see that you have Vista, you accidentally upgraded to Vista XP?

    Try to install audio driver for Vista from Realtek: http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsCheck.aspx?Langid=1 & PNid = 24 & PFid = 24 & Level = 4 & Conn = 3 & DownTypeID = 3 & GetDown = false

Inspition 15 3000 Series notebook PC

Inspiron 15 3000 series may refer to the model Inspiron 15 3542. If your model is the 3542, it has an audio jack headphone single (combo) that accepts a type of smart phone to the headset. The type has a unique segmented 4 taken (TAKEN) that combines the two headphone and headset plugs into a single outlet.

Your laptop also ordinary (without microphone) helmet allows a standard taken 3 segmented (TRS).

Do not take offense, but I can't understand what you're asking. You have a Plantronics usb headset that plugs into a port usb, but makes you uncomfortable with the only one taken audio input of your laptop? Perhaps you could phrase that in a different way.

  • How to set up a USB Microphone and a headphone audio jack at the same time on Windows 7?

I recently bought a CAD u37 USB microphone for use in various records and a commentator game on Youtube when I came across a problem. When I plugged the microphone all other sounds immediately extinguished and I couldn't hear the game. I tried to unplug and re - plug in the headphones and the microphone, even play with no helmet without result.

I did some research and found out it's because the microphone is automatically configured for audio input and output and the card sound/headset, not having a configuration. I've recently considered buying a $5 female jack audio converter USB to work around this problem.
Will this work, or just be a waste of money? Are there simpler solutions like a flick of a switch of audio control panel configuration? Are there any programs that will allow me to configure the audio and input output? Is it still possible? Thank you!

    Hi Ben,

I suggest you try to connect USB female to the converter audio jack, this should help to solve the problem with simultaneous USB microphone and audio input jack using headphones.

Whenever I start my laptop, I must follow the following process:

Every time that you start the audio is disabled? It's a weird symptom. Make sure the Windows Audio Service is being started. Click Start > search and type "services.msc" (without the quotation marks), and then click the best result. The Services window appears. Scroll down the page until you find "Windows Audio" to the bottom of the list. Check that it is enabled, the value automatic and running. If it is not, double-click on it and change the type of startup to automatic, and then click Start, apply, then OK.

If the Windows Audio Service is all right then I was running on the native Windows audio driver for a while for testing purposes. To install the native driver, remove the driver IDT. Open Device Manager and right-click on the IDT that you did, but this time, check the option to delete the files, and then click ok. When you restart, Windows either will install its own native driver or an IDT driver if there was other versions on the hard drive. Then go back to Device Manager and search for a driver IDT. Keep the uninstall (& delete the files) & reboot up to what the driver name becomes "high definition Audio Device".

If no problem when you run the native driver, there's something wrong with the driver IDT and you need to download a new copy of it or a different version of it (previous version).

If the same problem even with the native driver, there is something wrong in Windows or in the audio material. There is no specific diagnosis for this tool. The best way to diagnose is to reinstall Windows or restore the original factory settings. Who will set Windows and if the problem persists then it is the material.

  • Audio Jack problems

    Hello

I just bought my new laptop (Quad HP Envy 17 t-j100 edition) and I have a few questions for my audio port.

I have only 1 taken from headphone-out/microphone-in the drop-down list. Is it possible to record stereo signals using this port? When I go to the recording devices tab is displayed: "Table of internal Microphone", "Helmet Mic" and "Stereo Mix". What is the 'Stereo Mix'? How can I use it?

    Please help me.

    Hey Norbi93,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that you have questions about the audio ports on your laptop and the stereo mix option in your audio properties.

Stereo Mix supports computer reading record. For example, using a program like Audactiy you can record audio from a YouTube video. The selection of properties simply displays the unit is on and available. In addition to customizing options of quality, there is no much to do in this area.

If you want to know how to record sounds, you need a sound recording software. I can't tell you what software is best for you, then I would say using Google looking for a sound recording software that will work for what you are trying to do. Once you have found and installed, this program support team would be better equipped to answer questions on how to actually record the sound.

I hope that answers your questions!

  • HDMI port using puts to headphone/speaker output audio muted

I just bought a 15R special edition 7520. I put the laptop in an office situation (use Ext. keyboard + mouse + monitor 1920 x 1080 HD). Of course, I want to use the HDMI output to post a link to the HD monitor, as I did for many years with my XPS 1640 laptop with HDMI HD output. I was surprised to see that the HDMI out put it faces to the speaker/headphone audio is cut. I have searched through all the menus embedded, but could not find an arrangement to allow audio to be issued even if the HDMI is in use.

Am I missing something here? I assumed that this notebook would be operated the same as the XPS 1640, in applications where the operator uses a HD monitor in an office (no built in onstage) situation or a situation where you desire to feed your own audio system directly from the laptop. BTW, I also have a desktop computer DELL ZINO HD with HDMI output, which does not have the same way the 15R. This hung isalso system live HDMI to an HD monitor with no inhibition of the local sound.

Am I the only one who, as has been thisd prob? Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you... Paul...

  • Problem with headphones in collaboration with audio jack laptop Lenovo touch G510s?

The speakers on the laptop itself work, but when I plug it into any pair a headset or headphones (I tried 5 well known pairs) and it's the same problem each time. The right ear piece works and the left does not. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the driver, nothing helps.

I think it's a hardware problem and it has a warranty until May 30, 2015, but I don't have the time or money to send it offshore to lenovo of difficulty (expensive to send from the military base).

Is there a simple solution like an audio jack usb or something that I can use to be able to use a headset?

You can get a good cheap sound card USB off Amazon and use instead.

I just noticed in the title of this thread you wrote there is no noise of the taking. In this case, repositioning just decision-making may be insufficient, and the plug should be replaced. As I said, this could involve replacement of the motherboard.

  • None of my audio jacks do not work. Front and back (office)

Recently, I connected my desktop computer for an amp with an attachment to a rope to get sounds. It's a beefy amp and I don't have all the sound cards in addition to that on the motherboard. After that I connected and discovered, he did not. No audio jacks working now and I reinstalled Realtek HD Audio Manager twice and no solution. How can I fix this to get the worksheets?

    Hi MitchellCochran,

    1. have you disconnected the amplifier on the computer and still there is no sound on the computer?

    2. you receive a message on the audio device works is not on the computer?

    Method 1

Check and make sure that the correct audio device is set as default.

    (a) click the Start button and then click Control Panel. In the search box, type sound, and then click sound.

    (b) click on the read tab, and then look for audio devices. These appear as icons of the speaker and are labeled as speaker, track of the names of the devices.

If you have multiple devices, the default device has a check mark next to it and is labeled as default value.

    (c) if the wrong audio device is listed as default audio device, click the correct audio device, click set as defaultand then click OK.

Change the audio device may require that restart you your computer.

    Method 2

If fails it above step then check out the link below and run the troubleshooter of audio playback, check if it helps.

  • HP Mini 210 Netbook headphone Audio Combi Socket Port

NetBook HP Mini 210 has a SINGLE taken 4-pole (PLUG) 3.5 mm headphones Audio Combo.  All the headsets have TWO 3.5 mm 3-pole (TRS) care; One for headphones and a separate for the Microphone.

OK, after a few tries, the solution is now obvious!

The pinout of the connector 4-pole Combo does not follow the AV cable (standard), where the body of the plug is on the ground

It's more like the Canon AV Cable camcorder where the Ring2 is the Foundation and the body is the Mic (video on the Canon cable). Below specified connections to work perfectly:

4 pole socket Headphone jack. MIC Jack

    Trick trick (left Audio)

    1 ring (right Audio)

    Ring 2                                   Body                               Body

    Body                                                                             Tip + Ring

Make sure that you use a 4-pole plug bodied plastic because the body is the Mic (Live) connection and could cause interference if touched

I hope this help those who meet this problem.
