Specified HARD disk failure help needed ASAP

I am an owner of T430

I have hitachi 500 GB toshiba and mini 16 GB ssd Windows 7

Now, while I was working on an assignment I got a Microsoft Warning that my hard drive has failed and I have to run a back up (which I do now)

Never had this problem and I am using computer for awhile now and this is my first time see the warning window.

Is it possible to see if it is a "problem"? is it caused by viruses? and is it covered by my warranty?

Let me know if you had an experience like that.

* edit: I just ran lenovo solution Center scan hardware and passed everything except my mini ssd. with a code WHD00D001-UI4W8F

so it seems that my hard drive works fine, I had a few problems with lack of my mini ssd hardware scan before

You must get the mSATA traded again.

  • Inspiron s 660: hard disk failure. Need advice please.

Long story short my sister gave me a s Inspiron 660 she received as a gift a few years back (legitimate).  She said that was no longer working and I could.  I suspected a faulty hard drive and after several diagnostic tests later confirmed the WD Blue crashed the original; complete failure. Now, here's where I need advice:

    1. when it has received, it came not with a physical disk from the Windows 8.0 operating system.  It was pre-installed and then upgraded through its work of departmental to 8.1 it.

    2. I can't access the code of Windows because it is in the BIOS.

    3. I have a hard drive to work with Windows 7 installed and tried hooking laptop to see if he should realize that he was a long shot at best.  As you have probably concluded he was not recognized.

    4. I thought wiping one of my hard drives and do a clean install of Windows 10.

Question: With a new hard drive (or possibly an SSD) would work #4 or I still have problems with the BIOS and Windows embedded product code?

Question: What do you suggest I should try?  It's a nice little system and everything is clean and stable.  I have someone who needs a system, but can't afford it, and I thought I'd give something that would meet its needs.

    Thank you.

Re: 4. I thought wiping one of my hard drives and do a clean install of Windows 10.

Yes, it should work, but to do this, you must either buy an OEM copy of W-10, which has its own product key.

  • HP Pavilion 400-434 Office: intelligent control of hard disk: failure

    Hello

It all started when the computer would go blank right after startup, the HP logo would come upward, then 'auto repair preparation", more... Just empty. After reading the forums online, I did all the possible troubleshooting steps and at the end I did the SMART test... the result was:

    Verification of the processor: past

Intelligent control of hard disk: failure

    Failure ID: RGD7MK-7HV7RC-9XJ16K-60BB03

After obtaining these results, when I turn on the computer, it gives me a blue screen saying: drive SMART 1 error (301) and told me to test once again, that I did and got the same result as above.

Here is some info from the computer:

    Hi there @Brugalgirl

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! It's a good place to find the help you need, other users, the HP experts and other members of the support staff. I understand that your computer does not start successfully, and you found a Smart Drive 301 error code. I'm happy to help you with this.

I checked the ID of the failure, you've posted and verifies that the error. Unfortunately, this means that your hard drive needs to be replaced.  In view of the fact that the system does not boot, it is likely that the hard drive is completely unreadable, but depending on what you have on this subject, it may be worth your while to check with a local computer service shop and see if they can help to recover data from your hard drive.

If your system is relatively new and may be covered by the warranty, or if you wish to fix with HP for the guarantee system, you can call in hotline to make these arrangements. In this case, please use the following http://www.hp.com/contacthp and create a folder for your question and contact HP. If you do not live in the United States / Canada, please click on the link below to get contact information for your region.

Otherwise you can look at a replacement hard drive yourself. If you have a set of recovery media, then you already have a factory image HP, which allows you to put in place a new hard drive with your original operating system. If is no longer, you have a set or did not have a set of recovery media, so you can see if there are not yet available for your model.

I got lightroom 5.5 on a computer with a hard disk failure. How do I install it on my new computer without access to the old computer?

You can download Lightroom 5.7.1 (the final version of Lightroom 5) from the following Web site: keeping up-to-date for Lightroom

Lightroom 5.7.1 is a solid version, and you are entitled to it. You will need your serial number to activate the installation.

I'm on a mac. I have 2 different versions of mac operating systems running on 2 different hard disks, because of needs of customers with software compatibility. If I update a cc adobe programs in a single operating system hard drive system, it will affect older versions of programs cc in the other system of operating system hard drive?

If, as you say, they are completely separate installations on separate hard disks, each with there own version of PS for example, there should be no way that they could interfere with each other! I assume you are using a form any of Boot Manager to load a specific version of Mac OS x?

I did something similar at the start in a similar situation with client compatibility and not had a problem with either interfere with others!

However, you share the programs somehow between different OS, so that would be another matter.

  • E4N79EA #UUG: hard disk failure

Disk hard diagnosis fails with error GU077V-6R7899-MFGJXG-60SV03 code.  What is the restore/repair for this?

    Dear customer,

Whenever the hard drive test short DST fails indicating that the hard drive has failed and which needs to be replaced to solve the problem

This problem could be due to an Application or a driver conflict, virus issues, corruptions of files due to incompatible applications, incorrect judgments, update failures due to conflicts, mounted sudden power so portable, sudden falls etc...

HP will offer a replacement HDD if the laptop warranty is Active, otherwise you can buy a SATA hard drive in a nearby retail store

Please make sure that you get at least equal as long as the original one in order to use recovery disks. If you need you can buy a bigger, but not smaller hard drive capacity. For example, if you have a 500 GB hard drive you can improve it to 750 GB hard drive, but not 320 GB hard drive

Please try the troubleshooting below indicated once the steps:

Step 01. Remove the battery and unplug the power adapter AC.

Step 02. Press and hold the power button for more than 30 seconds

Step 03. Plug the AC power adapter / (leave the battery for now)

Step 04. Press the power button and check if the unit is operating normally

If the steps listed above is not enough, then you can try reinstalling the hard disk on your laptop

If the problem persists again please Contact HP if your HP laptop is under warranty, HP could replace the hard drive and provide recovery media to restore the operating system to factory after the replacement (if you have not yet created recovery disks/USB support)

Note: Back up all personal data on an external drive if possible. Otherwise, you can connect the faulty HDD through SATA USB adapter with another PC or a PC even after replacing the drive HARD and reinstall the operating system and try to copy / retrieve files. • G71-340US Notebook: hard disk failure

Had a test of memory, smart disk passed, test drive does not register any completion %, after 5 minutes I get hard drive test failed - disk 1 (303) fast, hard disk complete 1 (305). Error log lists 0601 & 0303. Any ideas other than the new hard drive?

    Hello

NOP, it looks like a proper failure and you need to get a new HARD drive

  • On the Satellite C - Windows HARD disk failure has detected a HARD disk problem

Since 2 days have been making repeated dialog "Windows detected a hard disk problem", warning of potential failures of the disc so back up, what I did. Disk in question is a Toshiba MK-5065GSXN.

As a non-tech user, my instinct is that a new laptop is a better choice than to call Toshiba support for a laptop warranty (2 years) out of.

On the other hand there may be a simple software fix. The opinion or advice welcome

    Hello

The message says that something is wrong with the HARD drive.
It might be possible that your HARD drive will die sooner or later so his need to backup data on another HARD drive, disk or flash memory.

Finally, I must say you n don't need to buy a new laptop just because your HARD drive starts to hurt work in such cases purchase a new HARD drive and replace it
HARD drive is not very expensive and the replacement of the HARD disk is very easy in your user manual

PS: what model of laptop you have exactly?

  • HP Probook s 4545: defective HARD disk factory replacement needs and so new OS.

My HP Probook s 4545 was shipped with a HARD drive failure, the system could not book and therefore enter the diagnostics screen black and white, the after he failed the HARD drive tests, it looks like no operating system found etc.. I went to my local reps of HP and they said that the HARD necessary replacement disk and I need to install a new OS. With the HARD drive replaced, I have to install a new OS, however, I was given a CD of the OS (for w7 and w8, the pc has been displayed as w8, but came as w7) on the purchase, but it did not come with a CD key. I don't want to have the windows prompt activate coming on my screen so often, so I was wondering if I could somehow source a CD key for my CD of the OS. The normal response would be to purchase a new authentic copy, however, it was not my fault as it was, as stated, a faulty HARD drive.

No - the info is in the BIOS, not on the old hdd.

  • error of hard disk failure, disk hard test result 0301, whatever that means?

    HP Envy 17 17-1190 ca,.
    Windows 7 64 bit
Failure of HARD drive in windows error.
    Error reads:
Windows detected a hard disk problem
    Back up files etc...
    -> Start the backup process

    -> Ask later
    Which drive is a failure

The following hard disks are fault condition:

    Disc name: Toshiba Mk1059GSM
    Volume: C:\D:\

No major change except the recorded images and visit the different websites before this error occurred. Use different Wifi access than usual the night before that I was visiting a friend.
I also did the backup under windows has proposed, as well as fact the HARD drive to test on a restart with the following information
    Journal of diagnosis
    Result time
    111411 0301-072937

    0301 111311 190805

    Then several no data below.

What are these results? This could be a virus and not a real failure of HARD drive?

I made a backup at this stage, and then the AVG installed anti-virus software to carry out analyses more away in case it's a virus.
Help to identify the journal of diagnosis would be appreciated and so also if it is a virus, as I had seen a virus who himself disguised as a warning from Windows XP HARD drive failure which linked to a Web site to try to extort money from people (although none like this, but a real Windows 7 error)

    Thanks for any help.
