LibreOffice is probably not TSF, text services framework, compatible with voice recognition. Try to test your system using Notepad or Word if you have. If WSR, Windows speech recognition, who works but not LibreOffice your only choice is to dictate in Notepad. Then give command all select, copy, and then Application Switch (to LibreOffice) and paste.

While he was trying to use the dictation in speech recognition, no speech text can't.  Was working fine before.  No change to the system, but has several different restorations using a variety of dates spanning back to the initial installation of Vista.  (It was the 10th time that I had to reinstall the OS since I got this computer...)  I am running Vista Home Premium 32 bit SP2, on a Dell XPS410.  None of the posts I've seen here have worked, but I wonder if anyone else has tried the spoken command "Start typing.  When I do that, it will convert text spoke of the individual letters but still will not recognize whole words, obviously not a very useful thing if you dictate a letter.  Normal order, IE. Start Notepad or grid of mouse or scroll work etc fine, but tempting product just dictation one what was that answer, or it will try to open a program, it thinks I want to.  I had re form this feature for every installation, it gets old.  All my drivers are up to date.  Once I did a fresh install and all updates from microsoft and dell and used the computer for anything, have not installed any third-party software be it, simply left the system power and ran only chkdsk and other utilities MS once a week or two and, voila! from now, the thing is finished installing, he already had errors listed in Event Viewer.  After 3 months of abot, he operated with about 60 percent of its features to work, the non-functional remains.  Does not require any intervention from the user to the first slide on the ultimate BSOD crash, which, as always results in a resettlement, as nobody on the planet can provide much in the way of answers or help.  I use computers and Microsoft products since 1983 on a daily basis and keep waiting and hope something that works as advertised, but already I see problems of the usual kind happening in windows 7.  Typical.   Ah, sorry, lost in a mug shot here.  Any suggestions on the problem of the dictation?

I'm going to assume that you use a headset microphone any. If so and you are using a laptop with a built-in microphone, go to the sound control panel and disable the built-in microphone so that he is not inadvertently picking your voice as well.

About the command "start typing", it is intended to allow you to start dictating individual letters as a, b, c, and so on. It is not supposed to be used to capture the General dictation. Before you try to dictate, make sure to disable this mode by saying "stop typing.

  • Speech recognition freezes and requires the restart.

SPEECH RECOGNITION - 2nd try. I am a disabled person who is 85% dependent on Microsoft speech recognition to communicate in writing. Two weeks ago my SR program would sometimes freeze and require rebooting. Today, it will stop working every 2 to 3 hours (I find other similar problem, still no solution) and requires the restart of the plant. He was originally also page redirect at will, which results in the loss of previously entered data. Needless to say that my program of speech recognition works pretty well right now. These last two days have been exhausting, trying to keep the operational programme. Can anyone offer advice, assistants, suggestions or point me down as a path to success?

    Hello

    1. you did recently on the computer until the problem started?

It seems that speech recognition works badly or something is broken. There are a few steps that we can try to solve this problem.
Step 1: Sfc scanner to find and repair corrupt system files.
    1. Click Start, click principally made programs, accessories, right-click Guest, and then click Run as administrator.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow.
    2. type the following command and press ENTER:
    sfc/scannow

The sfc/scannow command. analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.
For more information, see this link: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/929833

Step 2: If the problem persists, perform the clean boot to find out what is causing the problem.
Follow step 1 to disable all non-Microsoft services and check if the voice recognition works great: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/929135

If the voice recognition program always freezes, then follow step 2 to step 6 to know what causes this problem: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/929135

Follow step 7 to start the computer in normal mode: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/929135

Post back with the results, so that we can help you further if necessary.

  • In Java Windows speech recognition

I am an online gamer and have recently discovered this on my computer's speech recognition software. It works perfectly on processors and in most of the situations of Internet (in fact, I use it here right now), but there is one that I don't know if it has the ability to work with - Java. I play games online with other people and I want to dictate in Java, but I found the only way to do that is to tell the computer to "tap" each letter individually. Is it possible I can do speech recognition dictation and Java compatible?

Wow, that's a challenge.  It might be a little difficult to find an answer to this one, but I recommend to check first the support of Java site. I have a simple philosophy: just assume everyone is a piece of _ and then be pleasantly surprised if you find someone who is not.

  • Speech recognition in labview

    HY everybody

I'm new to labview. My project consists of elevator system of speech recognition. My first task is to go ahead with the speech recognition. I really need help.

    Concerning

    Kunal

There are two ways to achieve speech recognition in LabVIEW... One way is to use the existing Microsoft Speech API to acquire sound and generates the text in order to compare the text with the input string. The other way is to acquire sound in LabVIEW, proceed with a signal processing to generate spectral components and store them in a matrix of dictionary and match then the input signal with the signal stored to power output.

  • Make a shortcut for speech recognition

Good well I tried to create on but fail, I tried searching the internet, failed to learn, I searched these forums... And has failed, so now I want to know, there is NO icon speech anywhere, but in the control panel (the "speech recognition Start") and I don't like the 'start-up windows startup' and I do not like, navigate I would just click 2 times on the element on my desk (although I might navigate to the icon ;)) just a simple tutorial would be nice) : D

To create a shortcut on the desktop, open the control panel and drag the icon for the desktop speech recognition Options while holding down the left button of the mouse.

  • Windows speech recognition

I would try to use speech recognition.  I'd probably use my personal 3 Surface Pro (Windows 8) to do most of the actual speech recognition / dictation I can use at home and on the go. However, I work in a very technical field and first of all, I would like to use e-mail / document scan to get the system to understand the technical words that I commonly use. (I tried without it and he was so poor on the technical terms that it was useless to go). This information is all about my work however PC (Windows 7), not my personal PC.

So is it possible to synchronize or move, speech recognition through multiple PC files?  A synchronization option would be preferable.

Is it possible to change the system, such as the files are stored and read from a disk?

There is a free tool from Microsoft backup profile WSR . It allows the backup and restore of the user profile on any computer. There is no option to synchronize or the method to store the profile of your speech on a server.

  • WAV files as input for speech recognition?

Is it possible to use a wav (or mp3) file as input in the Vista speech recognition program and convert it to text?  It doesn't have to be perfect, just enough close conversion.

I'm no expert on the subject, so I could be off here, but here are my thoughts for what they are worth.

Even if you could place the speaker output in front of a microphone with no impedance or your comments I don't think that what you ask would work in technology current todays.

The voice on the audio file will have to go through the training recognition speech engine voices.  If she has a few guitars and drums on it plays loudly in the background, you could see smoke coming out of the computer.  As it is, vocal training has to be in a quiet environment.  It would be better if you were to get a copy of the audio voice and type it yourself, or read into a microphone and let the speech engine to write it.

  • Is there a way to launch Windows 8 speech recognition from the command line?

Is there a way to start (and stop) Windows 8 speech recognition from a command line prompt? I found a post giving the command to start speech recognition in Windows 7 as "c:\windows\speech\common\sapisvr.exe - SpeechUX". Although it seems to start the process of sapisvr.exe, MISTLETOE (the microphone with closing, minimize and text box) does not appear.

Offered the same post "taskkill /im sapisvr.exe /f" to stop the service, but it throw an error of permissions in Windows 8. In any case, I'm more desperate to a corect command-line START the voice recognition system.

    Any help would be appreciated

    Yes, there is a way!
Try to use the link in the ease of access.

Launch this way C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Accessibility\Speech Recognition.lnk and everything will work!

  • Speech recognition does not recognize dictated.

Recognization of speech is dictated not recognized as dictation, includes only orders. It is a novelty because when I started using it it worked fine. The microphone is very good because he always hears commands and responds correctly. Any ideas? Please, I beg you.

    Hi Mlee,

Control Panel-> speech-> speech options Advance open pick and choose the language (English in the United States). Try the word by far.

There are several ways to correct mistakes made during dictation. You can say "correct that" to correct the last thing you said. To correct a single word, say "correct" followed by the word that you want to correct. If the word appears several times, all instances are highlighted and you can choose the one you want to correct. You can also add words that are often misunderstood or not recognized by using the speech dictionary.

To use the alternates Panel dialog box

    1. Click to open Windows speech recognition.

    2. Say "start listening" or click the Microphone button to start the listening mode.

    3. Do one of the following:

      • To correct the last thing you said, say "correct that."

      • To correct a single word, say "correct" followed by the word that you want to correct.

    4. In the Group of alternates dialog box, say the number next to the item you want, and then on "OK".

      Note

      • To change a selection, in the Group of alternates dialog box, say "Spell" followed by the number of the item you want to change, click 'OK '.

    Use the speech dictionary

    1. Click to open Windows speech recognition.

    2. Say "start listening" or click the Microphone button to start the listening mode.

    3. Say "open Speech Dictionary."

    4. Do one of the following:

      • To add a Word to the dictionary, click or say add a new Word, and then follow the instructions in the wizard.

      • To prevent a specific word of dictation, click or say prevent a Word from dictation and then follow the instructions in the wizard.

      • To correct or delete a word that is already in the dictionary, click or say change existing words, and then follow the instructions in the wizard.

A speech profile has not been created. You can train your computer to better understand you by creating a voice profile that your computer uses to recognize voice commands.

        To create a voice profile

        1. Click to open speech recognition.

        2. Click Train your computer to better understand you, and then follow the instructions

          Thankzzzzz
