Speech recognition. It is based in my vista basic 32?
I click on speech recognition and I am responsible to visit on line community. But here, no light. What's wrong??
Hi Woolf5248,
1. don't you make changes before the show?
Yes, voice recognition is built in 32-bit editions of Windows Vista.
We recommend you to check if any system files are missing or corrupt. To do this, try the following steps.
a. visit http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833
b. run the scan successfully.
c. restart the computer so that the changes take effect and check the result.

Hello
Windows Vista comes with the speech recognition integrated program with which you will be able to work on the computer without using the keyboard or the mouse.
Reference:
Use speech recognition to operate windows and programs
Set up your microphone for speech recognition

Unfortunately, you won't be able to connect using speech recognition. I suggest you use your favorite search engine to look for software that supports the feature.
Note: Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be resolved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

I tried to activate speech recognition on my computer (Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit) but I can not because when I open the Control Panel, speech recognition options, I see on the upper left corner "text to speech" and under the "see also": "ease of access"and"Audio devices". Is it possible to fix this?
Hi Marios,
Speech recognition does not either with the English language or Greek as the operating system is in Greek.
Speech recognition is available only in English, French, Spanish, German, Japanese, simplified Chinese and traditional Chinese.

Speech recognition in Vista and Excel software.
Two questions:
Can I enter text/data in Excel by using the speech recognition software that comes with Vista?
Can I do this using only a microphone or a digital voice recorder work? Or is there another method other than a microphone that would work?
"Known issues".
Dictation
You may experience the following problems when you use speech recognition.
Dictation speech recognition works in a limited set of applications that support a technology called Text Services Framework. This set of applications includes:
Microsoft Word and Outlook
Virtually all applications that are part of Windows VistaDictation will not work in many applications. These include, but not limited to:
Microsoft PowerPoint
Excel
WordPerfect
Eudora
Lotus Notes '.Guide step by step Windows Vista speech recognition

Speech recognition
It is always disconcerting that Microsoft (VISTA or Windows 7), again didn't match the overall flexibility of voice recognition they made in Office 2003 running on XP. This combo has given you the speech recognition in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as many commnads. Now, they have very slightly better accuracy but only in Word and a wider range of commands.Cannot expect to make progress to be linear, but it is difficult to imagine how thye has lost the ability to interface with other office products. »

program speech recognition on Windows 7 and Vista sense microphone input
One of my friends tries to use the text-to-speech program built into Windows 7 and Vista, on their computer and laptop computer - with a brand new microphone and using a USB plugin and an audio input jack. All we ever get is a if you asking the window of our "MIC is muted.
We need this thing to work. And please don't tell us 'optimize our browser '. We don't need this kind of nonsense lazy, evasive. We want to know why this specific programme will not work. Thank you.
One of my friends tries to use the text-to-speech program built into Windows 7 and Vista, on their computer and laptop computer - with a brand new microphone and using a USB plugin and an audio input jack. All we ever get is a if you asking the window of our "MIC is muted..."
Connect the USB microphone (to aft port on a desktop computer, any port for laptop). Then right click on speaker icon lower right task bar. Click recording devices. Highlight the USB microphone. Speak into the microphone. Green bars should move up and down like you're talking about. If they do not, click Properties and then the levels tab level slider move to 100%, click OK and test speaking into the microphone again to see if green bars go up and down. If they don't, try a different USB port.
For the analog microphone test the same way. Use a Mic back in port, not one alone on the front or on a monitor.
Microphone work, go into Control Panel, speech recognition, and microphone Set prior to the formation of WSR (Windows speech recognition).

Speech recognition can be used to connect to Windows Vista or 7?
I'm currently under Windows 7 RC. I would like to know if there is a way to use the speech recognition system in Windows to connect to the screen of the user/password? I currently use speeches to do everything as the exception. Please let me know if it is possible without using other software or if other software is necessary: what?
Thank you for your time,
Calypso

The tutorial of speech recognition to train my voice is not large enough for the engine get good recognition of my voice. I want to put in place a couple random pages of text (like a novel, etc.), and that I dictate the words in the program he would coordinate the words I read with the text I was reading from and type what I read to show how he got trained.
Here is the translation of the above using the voice recognition program.
If this tutorial from speech recognition to train my voice is not a large enough for the motor get a good and recognition of my voice. I want to put in place a couple random pages of text (like a novel) which does not run and I dictate the words in the program that he would coordinate the words I read the text I was reading types of what I read, that the show has done which forms
The foregoing would take a lot of editing, which I already did a large part of. Also if you change the type of microphone that you are using, you could start any training.
I'd be cool if (with headphones), you might get feedback that the program thought you said so that you wouldn't be constantly replay to see if it came out correctly.

Hello
1. who is the operating system installed on your system?
2. are you referring to the speech recognition?
3. are you using the speech recognition that is available, or you are using third party software?
Note
Speech recognition is available in English, French, Spanish, German, Japanese, simplified Chinese and traditional Chinese.
In addition, you must have the appropriate language pack installed on the computer. It also depends on the version of Windows installed on the computer. The MUI is available in Windows Vista Ultimate Edition if it works under Windows Vista Ultimate Edition. Any other version of Windows has MUI. Let us know if it helps.
Hope the helps of information.
