Speech recognition - recognition language is not language User Interface problem

I want to get Windows 7 speech recognition to work with British English, but I get an error after the training, that the language of the speech recognition is does not match the language of the user interface. I got the thing defined in the locale UK and speech recognition in British English. Several people have suggested:

  • Change regional settings, restart, change back again, reboot. Does not...
  • Turning off the box that says look at my documents. Does not solve.
  • make a Windows 7 reinstall. Can't do like no Windows 7 no install disc came with the PC.

Can someone help me solve this problem? Where is the language of the User Interface set? Would - this something to do with Office 2010?

There is anecdotal evidence that the use of like CCleaner registry cleaners can cause this problem.

Speech recognition could not start because the configuration of the language is not supported. The recognizer language must match the language of the user interface.

Have you contacted the manufacturer of your machine to see what the repair and the machine has recovery options?  Maybe he has a hidden recovery that is quite common nowadays for the OEM partition?  This should be mentioned in the manual or on their Web site.

    Hello

    You can use speech recognition in a different language if a MUI language pack is installed for one of the supported languages. 35 MUI language packs are only available in Ultimate and Windows 7 Enterprise editions.

    In your case, the French MUI language pack installation would alter the parent language to French, and allow you to easily switch between languages and use the speech recognition in this language.

    Windows 7 language packs are available for computers that are running Windows 7 ultimate or Windows 7 Enterprise

    You don't say what version of Windows you are using or which device (computer, tablet or phone)? Not knowing, trying to go to the control panel. Click speech recognition. In the window that opens, on the left side, click Advanced speech options. Make sure that the language corresponds to your language and Windows keyboard. The illustration below shows US English.

    If the language is correct, try changing the language to something else in the list and click on apply. Restart the computer. Then return to your language, apply and restart.

    If the above still does not help, try creating and training a new user profile with a different name than your original profile.

  • In the speech recognition dictation does not

    While he was trying to use the dictation in speech recognition, no speech text can't.  Was working fine before.  No change to the system, but has several different restorations using a variety of dates spanning back to the initial installation of Vista.  (It was the 10th time that I had to reinstall the OS since I got this computer...)  I am running Vista Home Premium 32 bit SP2, on a Dell XPS410.  None of the posts I've seen here have worked, but I wonder if anyone else has tried the spoken command "Start typing.  When I do that, it will convert text spoke of the individual letters but still will not recognize whole words, obviously not a very useful thing if you dictate a letter.  Normal order, IE. Start Notepad or grid of mouse or scroll work etc fine, but tempting product just dictation one what was that answer, or it will try to open a program, it thinks I want to.  I had re form this feature for every installation, it gets old.  All my drivers are up to date.  Once I did a fresh install and all updates from microsoft and dell and used the computer for anything, have not installed any third-party software be it, simply left the system power and ran only chkdsk and other utilities MS once a week or two and, voila! from now, the thing is finished installing, he already had errors listed in Event Viewer.  After 3 months of abot, he operated with about 60 percent of its features to work, the non-functional remains.  Does not require any intervention from the user to the first slide on the ultimate BSOD crash, which, as always results in a resettlement, as nobody on the planet can provide much in the way of answers or help.  I use computers and Microsoft products since 1983 on a daily basis and keep waiting and hope something that works as advertised, but already I see problems of the usual kind happening in windows 7.  Typical.   Ah, sorry, lost in a mug shot here.  Any suggestions on the problem of the dictation?

    I'm going to assume that you use a headset microphone any. If so and you are using a laptop with a built-in microphone, go to the sound control panel and disable the built-in microphone so that he is not inadvertently picking your voice as well.

    About the command "start typing", it is intended to allow you to start dictating individual letters as a, b, c, and so on. It is not supposed to be used to capture the General dictation. Before you try to dictate, make sure to disable this mode by saying "stop typing.

  • Why some Windows 7 speech recognition commands do not work in non - IE browsers?

    I am running the latest version of Windows 7 Professional (64-bit, SP1) with all the latest updates installed.

    My problem is when I use a non - IE browser (Chrome, Firefox) to compose an email in GMail. When I try to use Windows speech recognition to dictate the message, I find that most of the commands, such as "Capital XXX" or "Select XXX", are not available. Why is this? And can I do about it?

    Thank you!

    Windows speech recognition supports only dictated full text in programs that use what is called the "Text Services Framework" to implement text editing features. Most of browsers besides IE use something else, if only the most rudimentary speech features work.

    Your options:

    • Use Internet Explorer.
    • Plug-ins: in Firefox, you should be able to use IEtab plug-in operate by implementing the plug-in so that IE is used to view the pages in Firefox Gmail dictation. It is possible that there is an equivalent of plug-in for Chrome.

    (You can make requests to software publishers: 1) that Microsoft supports more text programming implementations in the Windows speech recognition and 2.) browser companies support the Text Services Framework.

    Good luck!

  • speech recognition means but not perform action

    I have an addition windows 7 home. Lately, my speech recognition acted real buggy, its achievements, where I can say a snd command it will show the word in the small window but don't do it, as the common control to say start or open IE, nothing. Gone through all the news I can find, also will go off without reason. his calm where I am and I have a good mic. I have it set to always listen to what I say. , sometimes working some time, even when the value of sleep. Listen only to "Start listening" Theres even had moments where I would open and ready to use recognition and the dim blue mic button not responding or to turn on and off, .more there was not the little chime or something else that would sound.  I tried several ways to see where I messed up. Open WSR and navigate to the test and as mentioned got about 60% of the time mess up, it of a guess because would feel frustrated and abandoned. When work well follow orders, I do not understand why everything suddenly the command will not actiion more random, off.

  • Windows 8 Pro includes the MLUI (multi-Language User Interface), as Windows 7 Ultimate?

    I find this feature very useful and I was wondering if it is also available in Windows 8 or Windows 8 Pro.

    Indigo salvation,

    The ability to install the Multilingual User Interface is available for all editions of Windows 8.

    "For Windows 8, we redesigned the experience of display language, focusing on the additional input displays the languages available to all Windows users, which makes them super easy to find and install and allowing users to switch between them."

  • Update the user interface problems

    I have an application that has three buttons at the top of the other, but is never visible at a time.  On the initial configuration of the application, the user interface is correct, but once one of the clicked button events fire several buttons appear at the same time.  All buttons are dynamicslly created and stored in a table to access.

    A few snippits of code:

    The buttons are created like that and then added to a canvas:

    browseButton.label = "Browse";
    browseButton.id = trackNumber.toString ();
    browseButton.width = 92;
    browseButton.height = 30;
    browseButton.setStyle ("right", 0);
    browseButton.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, fileRef_browseHandler);

    removeButton.label = 'delete ';
    removeButton.id = trackNumber.toString ();
    removeButton.width = 92;
    removeButton.height = 30;
    removeButton.setStyle ("right", 0);
    removeButton.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, removeButton_clickHandler);

    clearButton.label = "clear";
    clearButton.id = trackNumber.toString ();
    clearButton.width = 92;
    clearButton.height = 30;
    clearButton.setStyle ("right", 0);
    clearButton.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, clearButton_clickHandler);

    canvasButtons.addChild (removeButton);
    canvasButtons.addChild (browseButton);
    canvasButtons.addChild (clearButton);
    canvasButtons.horizontalScrollPolicy = 'off ';

    Pretty easy.  Where the problem occurs is removeButton_clickHandler.  It passes through and hides all buttons and makes the Browse button active thus active / disable another image.  Turns on and off the visibility making:

    public void HideFileButton(currentButton:Button):void {}
    currentButton.setVisible (false);
    } / / HideFileButton (Button)

    public void ShowFileButton(currentButton:Button):void {}
    currentButton.setVisible (true);
    } / / ShowFileButton (Button)

    I see that the visible property is changing, but the UI is not hide the buttons that are no longer visible.  I got around this origin by setting the alpha to 0, but it seems I'm missing something simple.

    Can anyone shed light on what I'm missing?

    In general, you define the button visible = false immediately except the one you want to be visible.

  • PlayBook not displaying user interface components do not

    I have the following code inside a class that extends the container:

    var button:LabelButton = new LabelButton();
    button.label = "Button 1";
    addChild(button);

    var button1:LabelButton = new LabelButton();
    button1.label = "Button 2";

    When I run in the Simulator, all I can see is the button with the label "Button2". I guess "Button 1" is below. Why is this?

    Problem solved, I needed to set the size of the container... buttons then displayed correctly.

  • speech recognition - "this command is not available now"...

    I have windows 7 with office 2010 and when I try to say commands, such as select Word or correct the word or ordering another new paragraph I receive a message of this command is not available now... when it will be available? also, when dictating a sentence, if I stop it capitalizes the next word in mid-sentence... How can I fix that? and don't forget that I can't use the exact word or select Word... it took me twice as long to make this letter with speech recognition, of the type just... I read on these forums, I googled to death and please please please do not direct me to another forum... I set up my micro I did the tutorial and additional training, I looked over the options and others and I can not understand how to fix... the exact same question was asked and the person who answered just said set up the microphone, the tutorial and the additional training and as many links to forums... I clicked and traveled all the links and the answer may seem not available as to why my speech recognition accepts not my orders... Please answer and if you don't know, don't send me on a forum's wild-goose chase...

    The solution to your problem is to click the speech recognition microphone, first before you open Word.  Once the speech recognition is started, right-click it, click options, select Notepad of dictation and then open Word.  If you do it in this order, everything should work correctly in Word.  Notepad will not come to the top.  The command everything will work directly in Word itself.  If you open Word first before the speech recognition and do not have Notepad - "command not available" will come.  I hope this helps.

  • Speech recognition in Windows 7 does not work with several sentences

    I use speech recognition with Windows 7 and Word 2010. In the past, it worked fine, but now it has developed several questions:

    1. When I say 'OK _', he responds with "this command is not available now.
    2. When I insert a period at the end of a sentence, it puts a space between the last word and the period.
    3. When I say "He went out", he responds with "this command is not available now.

    The only change I made is the upgrade to Office 2010, but I have Office 2010 on my laptop and it works fine there.

    Is there a way to fix the voice recognition program?

    I'm having the same problem.  Windows Speech recognition (WSR) IS NOT playing well with Office 2010.  A very disappointing setback because it appears to praise them to the improvement of the accessibility features THAT WSR will not dictate in Word 2010 without having to accept the text in the window on the other.  Very slow process is the result of the incompatibility and effectively stops to dictate.  :-(

    I have exactly the same problem, Word 2010 (32 bit on 64 bit systems) leaves me only the replacement window allows you to dictate text and many features learned during the training now work well in this mode.

    It really does not need speech recognition. However, there is no problem using the dictation in Internet Explore.

    To fix this (remove the dialog box) right-click on the translation of the speech tool, then go to options, then uncheck the "enable dictation Notepad '.
