Speed of memory after the update of the BIOS

Hello

I update my BIOS today and I don't of course that my RAM memory is working properly.
When I run CPU - Z in the "SPD" tab I see that my RAM works with 533 Mhz.
Should we perhaps 677 Mhz?

Sorry for my bad English.

Are you sure that the value is now 100%?
Have you checked before update BIOS too?

But after the update, my laptop goes on infinite blue screen of death. How can I recover from this injury?

    Hello

Did you choose the good BIOS update for your model? Was it for Satellite L300 PSLB8E?

    What code you get BSOD?

After the BIOS update you must always load the default settings. Maybe a bad BIOS setting is causing this BSOD.

    Hello

Seems the CPU and GPU don t run full implementation after the BIOS update.
Any performance CPU/GPU leads to lower the heat dissipation and this means that the cooling module does not need to execute quickly and very often.

Check to see if you can change an option is the BIOS.
You can also try to update a graphics driver and could control Windows 7 power management.
Power management settings 7 victory could affect CPU and GPU performance to save battery power and reduce the heat dissipation.

  • Satellite A300 - after the BIOS update I can not install two OS

    Hello everyone:

I bought a laptop Toshiba Satellite A300-247 with Windows Vista Home Premium.

Then I formatted it and divided the hard (320 GB) into 6 partitions and installed Windows Vista and Windows XP on drive C to drive D after having changed the SATA controller mode in the BIOS for compatibility. The computer worked well with 2 operating systems. However, when I updated the BIOS to version 1.9, two operating systems stop working and one of them can be installed: XP can be installed when SATA controller mode is placed on compatibility and Vista can be installed only when the SATA is changed to AHCI.

Is there is no explanation of what past? And can I install operating systems 2 together again?

    Thank you

    Hello

First of all, I doubt that this has something to do with the BIOS update. I think that after the BIOS update HARD drive mode has been changed from AHCI to compatibility and therefore the OS didn't start.

Anyway, in compatibility mode you can install Vista and XP without the SATA drivers. This should t be a problem.

But do you know the difference between compatibility and AHCI? AHCI mode is faster and therefore I would recommend this mode.
Like you said Vista you can already install in AHCI mode and for XP, you need Intel Storage Manager. This package includes the SATA drivers you need and here is a step by step guide to use these drivers:

Last but not least, you can install 2 OS. You can do what you want! ;)

  • How to free the memory after the end VI

The data is collected once in a loop and added to a table of data. The collection was completed after the loop ends and a data table was built. In the end, the data has been written to a file. The program ended naturally. I guess that all the variables are erased from memory after the end, but it wasn't. If I run the program twice without closing, I have a set of newly collected data added to the 'old', which was created in my last run. A third series has been added if I run it once more.

I just want to keep the last function as my data and I don't want to close the program to set all my settings to similar races. How to do?

    A sample file is attached.

    Thank you.

You need to wire a constant empty table to the Terminal (lower bound) of the feedback node initializer.

  • Satellite U400 - after the BIOS update I can't start Windows

I have laptop Toshiba Satellite U400, PSU44E and Win XP. After you have installed the new BIOS v. 3, 80-WIN32, it is not possible to start Windows, it always ends in restart. It is also not possible to reinstall Winsdows, as it always ends with the blue screen.

    Any help or suggestion?
How can I install back my backup BIOS BACK?

    Hello

Did you really choose the good BIOS for your laptop? Because on the Toshiba site Web are different models U400 has so you choose for PSU44E BIOS on Toshiba page?

After the BIOS, you should load the default settings in the BIOS.
    Did you check that?

A downgrade from the BIOS is not possible. This is possible only from an authorized service provider. So, you should contact them and ask a technician for help. I m sure they will help you. ;)

  • NB200 does not start after the bios - screen black screen with blinking cursor

    Hello

I was using the laptop as usual when I think there may have been a virus activity - reason I say that is that my anti-virus closed unexpectedly. I couldn't restart programs files.

    I restarted the laptop.

After the bios menu will I get a blank screen with a blinking cursor - windows does not start.

    I did the following:
    (1) create a USB bootable with Recovery Console window XP - boot with this i can see three drives C:, D: as SDA? I can see the content of these disks, so it seems that my HD works. I ran a fixmbr and fixboot, but this has not solved the problem.
    (2) create a Kaspersky bootable USB virus scan - ran it without problem - he found a few question (not on the disk boot sector) I've fixed.

An option was to copy files from the laptop and then start it in recovery mode - so Itried to run the phone into recovery mode hold down the 0 key at startup - the bottom of the screen then displays * HDD Recovery mode * and nothing happens.

Any help - other options would be greatly appreciated.

My 1 year of that guarantee has expired a few months back so can't send in for repair.

    Thank you

    Hello

I doubt that it is a virus.
Seems the file system is damaged on the HARD drive and this is the reason why the laptop does not start until it could also be a partition of HARD disk malfunction.

Try this; Turn on the unit, press F8, and then check if you have the laptop repair.
If this is not possible, then you will need to reinstall new OS.

Here you can order a recovery disc:
    http://backupmedia.Toshiba.EU/landing.aspx
Of course you will need an external USB CD/DVD drive

  • Re: Satellite Pro A200 - black screen after the BIOS screen

    Hello
I'm new to the forum and have a big problem. So, any help is welcome and appreciated.

My Satellite Pro A200 turns black after the BIOS screen and a black screen with a blinking cursor. Also just as the screen goes black a beep can be heard which shows windows boot.
I can access the toshiba Setup screen but not the installation of security mode.

    Kind regards

    Hello

You wrote that you can access the BIOS, but have you checked if the HARD drive is recognized properly? Perhaps because the computer cannot start HDD isn't recognized then you should check this.

If the HARD drive is recognized, I would try a Toshiba Recovery disk recovery facility. It seems that Windows isn't able to start and if you reinstall the whole system should help get rid me of this. Go to the start menu and select the CD/DVD drive as a boot device.

    Check this box!

  • Speed of memory after adding memory and upgrading the video card problem.

My XPS 410 ships in September 2007 with a Core 2 Quad (Q6600) 2.4 ghz processor and two gigs of 800 mhz DDR2 SDRAM. Recently, I added two concerts more than 800 mhz DDR2 SDRAM and replaced my GeForce 8600 GTS with a GeForce 9500 GT with 1 GB of video memory. When I started the system, all four gigabytes of memory have been recognized, but was only running at 667 mhz. Can I fix this? This means that the original memory, or the new memory is really 667 mhz DDR2 SDRAM and not the 800 mhz DDR2 SDRAM I paid for? There are other possible reasons for this?

    Hi RuralDigital,

I will need some additional information to help you best.

Ø you have 32 bit or 64 bit Vista?

O do you have 667 MHz RAM in your computer?

When you use one more memory RAM clocked with one less clocked the two Rams, RAM will run at a lower speed RAM, that means that when you install a DDR2 667 MHz and DDR2 800 MHz clock speed, maximum RAM memory will be lower among the 2 cylinders speed, i.e., 667 Mhz.

Then I suggest you to check if the speed of the Rams is the same.

  • Tecra 8000 does not start after the BIOS update

From one day to the other does not start my Tecra 8000 (400 MHz/256 MB BIOS 9.30 for years). After start-up, the disc starts to turn, but the screen including the backlight remains completely black, without red logo TOSHIBA BIOS is not accessible.

I got a new mainboard on stock, so I replaced it, and it worked. Unfortunately now my WLAN card now did not work properly. I tried several settings of the BIOS with no results, so I decided to do an update of the BIOS from 7.50 to 9: 30. After the upgrade, I get the message "ROM WRITE successful, utility completed. LEADER BIOS: Tecra8000 v 9,30 ". Because what either kept silent, I pressed the power button to restart and heard a long and many short beeps (endless). I could interrupt what pressing the powerbutton for 5s.

After turning on again I have the same problem as described in the first line :-( I can't get into the BIOS, but I can again update (with pressed F12). Once again these beeps.

What to do with these beeps after average BIOS update? I replaced the MoBo connector LED with pension. Processor, memory, keyboard and HD has remained the same. So, before I start disassembling the machine, please notify, your help is very appreciated.

    Hello Joachim

I'm not a technician and don t know what the beeps but I am afraid that the BIOS chip is damaged. Because of this, the unit is completely dead. Sorry, but I really don t believe you can do anything. Maybe the new motherboard again :(

  • Satellite L300 - after the BIOS update I have a black screen

Welcome! I have a big problem.

I improve my Satellite L300 BIOS to the old version that I download on the official website of Toshiba. I turn on the update program and after about minute, the system will shoot down and on the screen I see black screen only. The light on the drive flashes green and the led in the DVD-ROM flashes orange. I have no idea what's going on.

    Please help me!

    Hello

It sounds like this during the update of the BIOS, that something was going wrong. I think that the ROM module must be reflashed or in the worst cases, the motherboard should be replaced.

In any case, you should contact an ASP for help. Technicians can try to reflash the ROM module and solve this problem.
If you don't know where is the nearest ASP, you can search on the Toshiba site:

  • Ports Satellite A135 - S2306 defective USB after the BIOS update.

OK, I searched all over the internet and not found anyone else with this same problem, or anyone with a solution that worked for me.

A few weeks ago, I had the common error of the BIOS reset itself and asking for a password at startup. I took my local Toshiba authorized repair center, and they have not taken care of him, no problem.

Since the resume, however, all 4 of my USB ports have been going crazy. What happened in the following three steps (in order):
-One of the ports does not work at all, won't provide any current or even recognize that nothing is connected.
-The 3 remaining ports are now only recognized as USB 1.1 ports, not USB 2.0 as they were before.
-Now, only a very small number of my devices is not at all, with three USB mouse and two unrecognized hard drives work (I get the error message "USB device not recognized" standard Windows when I connect them to one of the three ports).
I am running Vista Home Basic (32 bit) with SP 2 and the new version of the BIOS is v1.60.

Is this something people of repair caused when they have unlocked the BIOS and updated? Is this a problem with the new BIOS itself? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! Let me know if I let him out any relevant information, I tried to be as complete as possible. Thank you!

It is not easy to say. I think that would be best to ask guys why it happens or what they have done in the past.
But have you set the default BIOS?
Please do; access the BIOS (by pressing F2). Set it to default by pressing F9 (I guess) and save the changes. Restart the unit.
Access the Device Manager, and then remove all hubs USB and commands from the list of devices. After that reboot the device again. Windows should recognize the devices deleted again.
